1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Another Artist Using Doll Likenesses Without Crediting?

Mar 5, 2014

    1. I'm so so glad that reports are getting responses so quickly UwU~ This is plain wrong. D: I have no other words than wrong, so wrong.
It worries me that whether does he really need help psychologically... ._.

Also the teamwork here is just beautiful~~ I'm so so glad that I'm in this BJD community Cx

    2. Wow...it's nice to see some of the big players are taking this seriously. Good work on contacting them DOA people. I also am appreciative of the screen shots being posted that shows what he's said and the side by side shots...the one where he admits to being banned before for doing virtually the same thing is beyond amazing. I guess he really didn't learn from the first time he did it.

      Maybe now he will.

    3. Unbelievable what a doosh glad we caught him

    4. Wow. I cannot get over those screenshots of him admitting to art theft on DevArt. Facepalming so hard. In ten years, he should've learned his lesson, but instead tried an even bigger stint. Wow. No words for this.

I'm extremely glad to see that publishers (and Disney!) are being contacted and replying to the allegations. In terms of the publishers especially, I would hate to be the person distributing stolen material of any sort so yes, while he's obviously going to lose whatever deals he had with them, it's the right thing to do. There are so many legit struggling artists out there, that I am truly disgusted that this guy managed to get a couple of publishers with a boat load of plagiarized artwork.

    5. this guy really has missed his calling though - he is SO good at self-promotion, as I said before - He would make a great agent for artists I'm sure - promoting the work of others would also be an HONEST way to make a living!

    6. I agree about telling his publishers. Stealing artworks of other people and claiming they're your own is bad enough. But actually selling those stolen - and only slightly modified - artworks to publishers is a completely different category.

    7. I dropped a note to Dollmore just as to Disney 2 days ago, both wrote back - since Dollmore offical pictures have been disappeared from the FB profile of this guy, but yesterday evening I still saw Disney pictures. Maybe they want to be careful and it takes time to investigate :)

    8. I will ask the person. I suspect it has been deleted.

    9. I meant to comment on this earlier... gotta say while it's facepalm worthy alright it's also incredibly shady and leads me to believe that this is not the last we've seen of this guy. It might also be prudent to keep an eye on his Etsy account just in case he tries to take his "artwork" over there to try and make a profit.

    10. Has anyone of us here his account as friend in FB? So they can read the posts he doesn't publically share (if there are any, that is)?
I wouldn't be surprised if he'd write some things for friends only :/

    11. just to let people see the original image stolen of the little mouse that some may have thought was a pipo

    12. I don't, but I saved the direct link to my and my friend photos in his gallery, and when I write it in my browser It's still online, so his in private mod but not deleted. I'm so pissed, why after so many reports this stupid FB don't delete it yet?!?

    13. Guys sorry had not been keeping up here been busy and have been keeping up on facebook via several doll pages.
I posted the quote from his page and sadly I cannot get a screen shot.
A friend of mine got the quote for me from this theifs page.
My friend knows this guy from way back I promised not to use their name as they do not want to be involved with this but lets just say they are soooo NOT impressed.
I can try and get them to get me screen shots but not sure that will happen.

I find this infuriating that he has the audacity to take something from anyone and try and make money off of it.

    14. Disney was willing to sand blast an unauthorized mural at a daycare; they're more than willing to bring down a lawyer-hammer on a semi-local art thief. So best of luck with that green Tow-Mater "art" on there, dude.

What's interesting is his 'art' and profile pictures are all public, but his status updates may be private now, but not before. His Facebook friends seemed to really think he was doing these 'painting'-- I don't think he's very tech savvy to understand how easy it is to see and recognize stolen art. He seems to be the type that thinks these things will go away forever in a few months or even a year if he deletes and starts again. But it's not, and especially with his publishers being made aware, it's going to at least be harder for him to pull these stunts in the future.

Kudos to those who contacted publishers, interviewers, and other doll owners to make reports. You're all awesome.

    15. Didn't somebody link to his Twitter earlier? I could see his Facebook status updates on there just fine before. Maybe even if he's set those to private on Facebook, they're still available via Twitter?

    16. Coming back to this... wait a second. If this is right... then all he did was hide the photos from public view, and did not actually delete them off his FB. It would certainly be the easiest way to save face to his friends/fans because were he to delete them, he'd have to explain why.

Has anyone managed to friend this guy? Or know anyone who's got him as a friend because I'd very much like confirmation on this.

This guy has absolutely no sympathy from me. None. Not a shred. This aggravates me.

    17. Hes set his twitter to private. Guess he's locking his stuff down so no one can see them unless he approves them.

    18. Found her on (you guessed it) DeviantArt. Sending her a message now.

    19. I think somebody mentioned making a dummy profile because he'd blocked them, but I don't remember who. If we could get somebody in there to make sure, though, that'd be good. There's also a chance Facebook took the photos down.
