Any Doll At All

No barriers at all? That's an easy one, it's Atelier Enaibi Airelle! But I have no delusions

 

On my "maybe someday" list is Suigintou from Volks. It's okay if I never get her, I enjoy looking at photos of her in other people's collections. I don't have to own her, but if I could I would.

 

I'd get a Dream Valley Rah Eagle version fullset if availability wasn't an issue. I missed his preorder period since I wasn't really in the hobby in that period of time.

He's the exact representation of a character that I've been working on for, like, my whole life.

I've heard Dream Valley sometimes rereleases sculpts, but I've also heard he wasn't very popular, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I've had no luck so far finding him second handed.

At this point he seems more like a faraway dream...

 

I have a soft spot for Dollmore Lusion Dhalia, but Iv'e never bought one because of a combination of factors. Money is one, of course, but perhaps more difficult to get around is the weight of the doll and the space she'd take up. The size is one of the things I love about the doll so I wouldn't want a smaller version.
In a dream world, where I could handle the weight and had a good place for her, I think I'd really like one.

 

If there were no obstacles along with an endless budget, mine would be a full set from Pasha Pasha and the Popopy Sisters along with a trousseau of all the wigs, outfits, and accessories from their catalog. Also, I would love to have a own a Natalia Loseva and Tender Creation. I just love this question, this has been a fun read to read other members' musings.

 

My answer it's been the same for 5 years or so now: DearMine Pet LOC version labyrinth, a doll that was released the year I started in the hobby and didn't even know anthro dolls existed. It is impossible to find in the second-hand market according to my experience and, even if it was, it would probably be out of my price range because of its unavailability.

 

I don't mind saving up slowly and waiting years to find discontinued dolls second-hand (or waiting for re-releases) so in that way, no doll that I want/have ever wanted is truly unattainable. I can and have waited years for the opportunity to present itself/circumstances to be right (financial and otherwise) to be bring certain dolls home and I truly do not mind doing so. If I do not have the money or cannot justify the price/space/etc at the time then that means that particular doll was not meant for me and that's totally fine, another will come when the time is right and I just have to wait for that doll. At least that's how I like to look at it.

That aside, my answer to this question is regarding availability. The doll I'd want is literally not available, never has been and will never be made/released.
A VOLKS SDGr Megu on a YumeTenshi Una SDGr body (the solid torso one) cast in the Amber resin with all the feet/leg and hand options and custom face-up/body blushing by VOLKS. If we're pulling out all the stops then an additional SwD Head and old F-05 head as well as having it all cast in oldskin resin, make it UV cut and have the inside of the heads signed by Akihiro Enku himself.
Totally never going to happen but one can dream

If I could have more than one then I'd also like a tan (Sunlight or Shadow) SwD YoSD Megu on a solid-torso suwarikko body with the double-jointed elbows, an SDM Megu (also on a solid version of the MSD/SDM body) and an MDD DDH28 or Sasara in tawny on a solid body (ideally the DDS SS-bust solid torso but MDD sized) with all the fun option hands. Oh and a PUYOODOLL Baby Kumako Egg01 in Chocolate skin with bear parts! But again, none of these dolls have ever been made.

No budget? Valiant, Prowess and Liberty from the Danny Choo Smart Doll line, preferably in the Anime style. I’d love to turn Valiant into a doll version of Hanako Ikezawa from Katawa Shoujo.

 

This is a tough question! I haven't been in the hobby very long, so there are many dolls and things that exist that I probably do not know about yet. I'm also interested in the 40-50cm mini/fashion dolls and those can be somewhat challenging to find in the exact sizes I prefer. I think one of the dolls I would like to have is a ChicLine from Fairyland which sadly were discontinued before I even knew about them. I also really like the 5th Motif Venitu sculpt, but he only came in 1/3 size as far as I know. If he was ever re-released to match the size of the Dollshe fashion maxi I would love to have him

 

Naruto dolls (not the anime lmao) I remember some years ago they were like $1000 or so which I couldn't afford at all! and they were hard to get.

Sadly, last year I was able to get one (they emailed me saying I could buy him) I was sooo happy because I saved $1500 for him but then they gave me a price of almost $3000!!! I was like nooooooooo why the price increased so much... I didn't have the money and I couldn't buy him.

I hope someday I can buy one of their dolls. But I fear the price will increase more if money wasn't an issue I would buy all Naruto dolls available

 

Any doll? Every doll! I would take a sabbatical from work-work and go fulltime to a dollmaking university. Doll construction and engineering, sewing, prop-making - I'd do it all.

 

That sounds like it would be really fun! I didn't know there even were dollmaking schools, aha.

 

I'd get Volks Michele. I love the sculpt but the price puts it into the category of "like it but don't need to own it". It's pretty much the only Volks face sculpt I even kind of want, which is good for my wallet in the real world, but in the fictional world, I'd absolutely go for it.

 

god its so hard to think of any because i have my grail doll now...maybe Regular or Sakura Miku dollfie dream? I'm not one for vinyl dolls but id kill for Miku...or maybe another Puyoodoll but in Milktea skin especially the boy puyoos.

 

If I could get any doll right now it would be Dream of Doll Tender E-an, probably. I hardly ever see those even just in pictures. I don’t think I have expensive tastes so much as rare tastes, lol.

 

Probably a Kid Delf Yul, but I missed the release and haven't really seen her around secondhand since.

 

There was this doll from HZ... he was an SD, I don't remember the sculpt name, though it may have been the Wang Ye.

 

I would like to have a Popovy Quetzal.
