Any famous collectors of BJD's

Apr 18, 2008

    1. :ablink: pat quinn? wows~ if you find that picture, you need to post it! i love pat quinn :aheartbea (so envious xD)

    2. She is totally a celebrity in my book! That is the most awesome news of my life! Thanks for sharing!

And I second the pic request!

    3. I'm not too sure of this, but it's made me wonder. Tora, the gutarist from Alice Nine., posted a picture of a bjd a while back on his blog. If anything it shows he's interested in them. ^^

    4. I'm sure some Authors are into them I would looooove to meet some though! I'm sure if Stephenie Meyer knew there were people out there turning Edward Cullen into a doll she'd be amazed and flattered over the idea XD

    5. I'm pretty famous, well I'm married to someone who is!

      My husband is David Sklansky!

Here's a more recent pic of him!

Anyways, here's a pic of me!

And here is a really bad shot I took this morning of the 2 of us together sitting on the couch in our home in my doll room surrounded by many of my various types of dolls, hehe! I'm still learning photography techniques & I'm especially horrible with self portraits still!

    6. Was it a BJD head on the doll of the soul of the King Bear in the Golden Compass?

    7. I guess my hubby is quite famous too, he's Stephen Westwood and he wrote the book Suicide Junkie and appears on a lot of TV interviews and magzines etc..and I have BJD's....so maybe that counts :)

Also, MAGENTA wow! a toooootal celeb in my book too! :)

    8. OMG! I've heard of Stephen Westwood, that's awesome! Do you have any pics fo the 2 of you together?

    9. Not from what I remember.... I think it was just cloth?

    10. I'll have to get one of us both with one of the BJD's otherwise this will be off topic :thumbup hehehe! so cool that you heard of him :) xxx

    11. Bah. Celebrities don't need to know about BJDs. Then we'd see everyone carrying dolls around in purses.

    12. Hurrah! I full heartedly agree!

    13. That is so cool!

    14. What an absolutely repulsive and offensive view to take on people. I have reported it. Disgusting.

    15. I don't think it's mean or disgusting! It's her opinion and if you don't like it or don't share it, then forget it, but she does have a point you know?

    16. I must say that while i agree that people are obviously allowed to have an opinion, some opinions are not really appropriate to share with this forum. I too get annoyed hearing people blast Gwen Stephani for her love of Lolita, however, i don't think calling people white, greasy, overweight "lolita" girls is very considerate, or acceptable on this forum, nor does it have much to do with the topic of celebrities owning BJD.

    17. Ok, That was my fault, I didn't pay attention to the fact the OP had said that, Now that also, I Do Not agree with and am in agreeance with those who say it's disgusting to call other's names on a board like this! Tho, I do still agree people are entitled to their own opinions, it's just some opinions are better left to yourself & taken someplace else!

Now, Let's put this aside and get back to the topic at hand! :)

    18. ::hugs:: :) ur still loved :) LOL

for those who wanted some pics, obviously, these are just some people i feel are celebs, with my dolls, but most thought they were pretty cool LOL Tony Todd, and Patricia Quinn REALLY loved them though LOL

Alex Vincent, who played (as a child) Andy Barkley, in Child's Play. :)[IMG]

Patricia Quinn, from Rocky Horror :)[IMG]

The Chiodo Brothers, creators of Killer Klowns from Outer Space
      [IMG]

Tony Todd, who has played GOD KNOWS how many roles, including Candy Man
      [IMG]

and, of course, Edward Furlong, from T-2
      [IMG]

Ironically enough, the Chiodo Brothers, ADORED the dolls...but they also have a background in puppets, and doll-making.
Tony Todd loved them because they looked "Evil" as he said LOL Eddie liked them ok LOL And Alex Vincent really isn't fond of dolls, which isnt surprising considering the movies he was in LOL

    19. Since the post above was of pics of celebs with their dolls, figured I have pics too of some of the actor/performers in the free pirate show outside of Treasure Island, Las Vegas holding some of mine (doll in black dress and DZ fox) and a friend's (Others) dolls!

Can't beat hot pirates with goofy smiles holding dolls, lol

    20. comicbookartistboi, those pics are great! Your dolls lead exciting lives, lol.
