1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Any famous collectors of BJD's

Apr 18, 2008

    1. That is beyond awesome- I wonder if she gets her doll dressed up like they're going to the midnight showing... I hope the Chiodo brothers get themselves dolls too- killer clowns from outerspace is a classic, I'd love seeing what they'd do with a bjd.

    2. Oh, I have no idea. I've been around for a while and I remember her talking about it way back when :P

    3. lol!! what made you say that??

And as for a member being an animator that is very impressive! wow! :D

    4. He did a spot on BJDs on his documentary series about Japanese popular culture and he and his wife are quite big on toy collecting, I thinks.

    5. JR is very into many Japanese things. He even has a gakuran. Action figures, robots etc ... so I think he would probably have a bjd or two if he knows about them.

    6. here is a pic of Colin Baker the 6th Doctor Who, he asked to look and hold my lad recently and asked alot of questions and details of websites.

You wernt ment to take his pic, but he told them I could, he's a great guy especially as im a Doctor Who fan.

    7. Aimee actually has worked for companies that have worked on a lot of shows. I believe (according to her blog) that she's currently working for the company that is doing the closing credit animations for the "Pink Panther 2" movie.

PS- She's also a really big Dr. Who fan... as am I! ;)

    8. ahhhh I see! cool! His mum lives near me so maybe I should ask her? lol!

The Dr Who piccy is great! More pics of famous people and BJD's!!!

    9. I have my Shirou T.'s picture with a ton of musicians. I always take him to concerts. haha he's my little backstage pass. ;)

The Doctor Who picture is really cool!!!

    10. i dunno, i know a Japanese guy, who is into Robots, and Anime, and Action figures, and LOVE most things japanese.....but he has absolutely no interest in BJD. Personally, i don't think if someone's into japanese things, it means they are automatically going to like BJD.

    11. Can you get the name for these? It's a bit of a long shot but there is a Carl Lagerfeld and he's an extremely famous fashion designer in Europe.

    12. it might be nice having some karl lagerfeld for my dolls. hahaha.

    13. Oh, nooooooooo! Colin Baker has gotten old! *sniffle*

Takes me back to my happy university days, yes. Lucky you--you've actually talked to THE Doctor! ;)

Um. Carry on with the actual discussion, everyone. :sweat

    14. lol, talked to Tom Baker aswell... and yea he has, but he's a great guy and unfort we all grow old... :(

    15. :D i just saw the video today but on her myspace was like OMG! BJD i adore how kerli and her doll have matching outfits :3

    16. In a way I kinda hope celebritys don't start collecting them. Then everyone would want one... Which can turn out to be a verrrrry bad thing.

    17. One of these days, when i'm an Oscar winning actress!!!!!!

      :D

    18. I definately agree with you here, but there's just something about JR. He often brings various toys and models onto his show ... so I'll just keep my eyes open and if a bjd appears on his guest list one day, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

...In fact going on his past record (he loves to shock), he would most likely show one of those dolls with ... all the optional "bits" :o

    19. I concur lol....

    20. Why, they're people too. Most people aren't very open about their hobbies. There are lots of "celebs" (using this term losely for people who have money, status, ect...) That collect other types of dolls and there really hasn't been a huge boom in the market thanks to their influence.
