Are all your dolls from one company?

Not at all. My sis and I like variety. We 'share' our dolls (By 'share' I mean: 'You can play with them and dress them up....but remember, she/he's technically mine.) and none of them so far are from the same company.

My sis has an AOD and DOD doll at the moment, but she's getting a Dollzone doll *hopefully* sometime before 2010 is over.

I on the other hand, don't have any dolls right now....but I'm going to get a Volks doll for Christmas and right now I'm saving up for a LittleFee.
Also, as you can see by my siggy, some of those dolls are from different companies....some are from the same. I'm really not too picky when it comes to companies. As long as I like what the doll itself looks like and the company's got some good feedback, I'm ok.

 

I'm a slave to Soom. I had a CH ange ai but I ended up selling her because she wasn't working out for me. So right now I'm left with my 2 Soom dolls. I see dolls from other companies that I want, but I'm always thinking "but what if Soom releases a really cool MD? or what if they re-release a doll that's on my wishlist (like my Beryl)??", So I end up not getting them and waiting for the Soom MD. Then if I don't like the MD I go back to looking at other dolls and by the time I find one I like Soom is about to release another MD so I'm hesitants again. It's a vicious cycle.

 

I'm new to this forum, may I post? I have dolls from CP, Soom, Orient Doll, Volks, independant artists, Cherish Doll, Bambicrony, and most recently the close out big NotDoll girls. I also have a DD and Bobobie body for a couple floating heads I had. I just kind of go with whatever catches my eye.

 

I love the work from Volks limited edition dolls. I'm also starting to really like the Iplehouse dolls.

I was curious in your own collection. Do you find yourself sticking to just one doll company more so than the others? Or do you like to try getting one doll from each of the companies available? Which doll companies do you mostly have in your collection and how many dolls do you have from them?

Most of them, but not every.

By the time I decided the character my first BJD would finally be, instead of a BJD version of myself, I had the feeling of a whole (One Piece manga and anime series) resin crew in old Delf sculpts from that same company.

I got my first 9 BJD (7 DF: Soo, Shiwoo, Chiwoo, El, Lishe, Yder, Soony; and 2 MNF: Chiwoo, Soo) from Luts and by CP. That made almost all the characters I wanted by then. Some few got new bodies from other companies (Unidoll, IpleHouse) to fit better the proportions of their characters.

But at some point the crew grew up and my idea of following only a line (A BJD company) for the molds of my resin crew changed as soon as I started finding other characters from the same title I really wanted in other companies.

That way and next I got a BJD from BuddyDoll (W-Buddy Jiny), a short later another from Luts, although this one not by CP (SDF Abadon LE), and the last one from Dollmore (Glamor Model Doll Nayuta Kenzo).

The truth is I fall for sculpts which in my opinion match the characters I truly want to own into BJD.

I started with 3 Resinsoul dolls almost two years ago or so and now I have 2 Fairyland dolls (out of the 4 dolls I currently have), one Fairyland hybrid, one fairyland doll on the way and two more in the future.
Not that I haven't explored or anything.

 

At the moment, no, but I'm just starting out. I have an Iplehouse, a Bobobie, and a FairyLand. I have at least one doll from each on my wishlist. I think I like the realism, personality, and sweetness (respectively) of the three companies. I'm not sure if I'd want all my future dolls to come from one company, but I know that at the moment I'm waiting to see what else Iple brings out. I thought that Carina was very lovely, and if someone dropped her in my lap I'd be pleased, but I didn't get the "omg...I'm in love!" feelin that I got from my three.

 

this is a great link to find out names of other doll companies that i still gotta look into myself. So far i'm in love with Volks and iplehouse dolls. I'm new hear so i'm still learning.

New here so hopefully I can just jump right in ^^; All my current dolls are from Volks. I may eventually get an Azone doll but I probably will not venture out much further than that. (ie: if they are not related to an Anime character I probably won't get them ^^. Doesn't mean I won't look and admire ones from other companies!

 

Of my dolls, 2 are from Iplehouse, 2 from Doll in Mind MnM, and soon there will be 2 from Dream of Doll. I found that I like variety (despite the hard quest to find clothes that fit )so the other dolls are all from different companies.

 

So far, yes, there's two Fairyland dolls on the way. But I eventually want a Dream of Doll girl and a Dollstown girl. And Iplehouse, lol... and a Volks SD Nana. But I kind of feel like I need to get a bit more adapted to Ball-jointed dolls before I dare to take the plunge with a more "complex" doll.

 

I have 2 heads that are from the same company (Crobidoll), 2 full-sets (Soom), 2 Custom House Ange Ai, 2 bodies (Fdoll) and finally my MNF & Juri could be cousins since they were made by CP/Luts :P

I have many different doll kinds and most of them are hybrids :P
For my 12 dolls *including those not yet here* I have 13 different doll companies =3
I may end up with every kind there is and that would be awesome * 3*
Though I do have favourites... Like everyone :B

 

The last time I posted in this thread I'm fairly certain I mentioned something about wanting to keep my dolls, aside from my two DoCs, as diverse as possible. And even now I still believe that's true-to an extent. More specifically speaking, when it comes to my dolls bodies, unless the dolls are meant to be twins, I won't let any of my dolls have the same body. Even my DoC's have now been made rather different from one another as one now has hooves and a potbelly and the other has had some leg work to make more flexible and shorter.

However, for faces, recently I do believe I can no longer deny the allure I've always found from DiM Standard models. I've always been intrigued by them, captured by their beauty and secretly told myself I would own one of them someday. And now that I have an Alpon on the way I'm determined to purchase a Bellosse head next for my Aria body, and then after that a Kassia! Although I'd have 3 of them they'd still all have completely different bodies which is the main goal anyway, even if I end up getting 2 more boys to become my future twins. I may feel a little odd having so many from the same company at first, but I'm sure I'll get over it

I have currently 14 (ouch) and it is a small variety at my house. I have 3 Volks, 5 Customhouse Ai, 3 Luts Delfs, 2 Cherishdolls, and an Angel Fantasy tiny. When I first discovered the dolls several years ago, I truly wanted a Volks 4 sister's Kira but that didn't happen, I got my Customhouse girls first and fell in love with their molds. I did eventually get my Volks girl last year and currently am partial to some of their limiteds but I do have some DOD's on my wishlist along with Iplehouse and Luts. I look at it that if I really like the mold of the doll, I don't care who made it whether it be Volks or Dollzone.

Nope. 2 Pipos (as it turns out I'm getting a second pipos doll ), 1 ResinSoul, and 4 Luts. Luts was my first favorite doll company, in fact, I used to think it was the only one that existed, or the only good one, anyway. When I decided to get dolls, just recently, my friend told me she had an iplehouse, and I was like BWUH WHATS THAT, and ended up falling in love with Pipos and Soom's dolls, after a quick google/doa browse xD

 

CURRENTLY I only have dolls from Fairyland. Puki puki, LTF, MNF and ordering two more MNFs soon. After that I plan to get a Luts Laila and then I plan to get KIZdoll Saiy. Then I plan on getting DIKAdoll Rena. But we'll see. I didn't mean to only get Fairyland dolls, I just LOVE their posing, and their faces. I plan to get more Fairyland dolls in the future, but I really want to expand a bit so after the two MNFs I will probably get at least three dolls from other companies. I am hoping to get a SOOM tiny as well sometime.

 

In the past I've had Hypermaniac, Soom, CP, Cutie Angel, Orient Doll, Dollmore, Domuya, Dollshe, Dollstown, Custom House, ShinyDoll, Unoa, Narae, Elfdoll, private artist's sculpts and probably some others that I didn't own long enough to remember.

Now I only have Volks.

 

At the moment my dolls are from the same company but I wouldn't limit myself to just one. I still would want to take home dolls from Fairyland, Supia, Unoa and etc. There just so many doll company with lovely and irresistible sculpts!
