1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Are all your dolls from one company?

Sep 21, 2009

    1. Considering that was from 2009, I thought it was time I updated ;3

      Still don't have more than 1 doll from a single company, except for Dollmore. At the moment I have dolls from:

      Dollmore - 1 kid, 1 narsha = 2 (and will be 3)
      Fairyland - 1 MNF
      Angel of Dream - 1 SD
      K-Doll - 1 head, soon to be a complete SD
      Iplehouse - 1 JID
      Limhwa - 1 MSD
      Soom - 1 head, soon to be a complete teenie gem
      Luts - 1 SD head, forever to remain a head

      One the way I have:

      Spiritdoll - 1 body (elegance)
      Dollshe - 1 Bernard

      So in total I will have dolls and parts from 10 companies. Not bad, I must say ;3

    2. I've owned dolls from different companies at the same time but I actually seem to buy and own just one brand at a time. I may oneday mix up my fairyland ownership with lati since I'd like to own a Lati yellow oneday but I don't think I'll be doing much else. I want only about 5 dolls max, only like an MSD or two and smaller, and I only buy girls. I enjoy looking at other owners mixed collections though - I just like to keep mine branded because I like the aesthetic and if I'm going to restrict my doll collection then I'm going to go for my favourite brand and sizes primarily.

    3. I have two Resinsouls and one Planetdoll. I'm always looking for the perfect doll to fill a character's shoes so I'm sure I'll get more from other companies in the future. It's just a matter of getting the right doll for the right price. :)

    4. Lesse I have no one doll from the same place :O I never even noticed or thought about it until I saw this thread :/

      Napidoll, Dollmore, Supia, Souldoll, Migidoll, Fairyland, D.I.M., Iplehouse, Dollstown, and Dikadoll are who all is in the house at the moment :)

    5. I have 5 dolls and one head. Four out of Five are LUTS as well as the head. The one that isn't is a Pipos Baha. I LOVE most LUTS dolls but that doesn't mean that there aren't other dolls I want from other companies I like, I just happened to get my first few from Luts.

    6. I originally meant to keep one doll, which meant one company, and Luts was the first one who got my loyalty. But I learned quickly that I could not stay with one doll brand. I fell in love with sculpts of other companies and those dolls came home.

      Currently, I have more DollZone dolls than any other, but my growing family has members from so many other companies, including Bobobie, Doll Family, FairyLand, Soom and more, plus some hybrids. But currently, my favourite companies are DollZone, for their head sculpts, FairyLand for the body sculpts and engineering, and Bobobie/Resinsoul for their awesome colours.

    7. Yip! All of my BJDs came from the same company Luts!
      But it only happened because I like the particular sculpts... I simply love the way they look :) (my next target is a Soom BJD, so it doesn't have to be Luts)
      of course the quality of dolls the company make would affect my decision, but I don't agree someone who's broke can only go for a DZ BJD...
      DZ BJDs are equally beautiful, but if some one who's really broke and want an expensive BJD, I'd rather suggest the person to do a bit more savings for the BJD instead of just get a doll he or she doesn't really want in the first place :)

    8. Both of my dolls are from Dollzone, but I'm currently working on getting one from Ringdoll. ^^

    9. As of yesterday my company count has gone up to two. I have Otavi, my Illusion Spirit Zhu Qing, and now I also have a Shou-Ryu Final Edition SD head from Oceanmoon.

      Soon (hopefully) I will get a Volks SD13 body for that head, making my doll count go up to two, and my company count to three. XD

    10. I've got a Bobobie, a ResinSoul, and 2 Fairyland dolls (with another on the way!). Eventually I'd like another ResinSoul, and more Fairyland... so I guess I do just have a couple favorite companies.

    11. heh there's not resin diversity at my house, all my dolls are from dollmore, as well as all the ones on wishlist. i like the dollmore kid look and the variety of headmolds and every time i've strayed from that company i ended up re-homing the doll so i think that sticking with dollmore is the way for me!

    12. No way! I have a great mix! xD I bought some weeks ago a Planetdoll Riz and a Zaoll dreaming Luv....And my wishlist it's all a mix: a Supia, a Dollzone, a Souldoll....

    13. Well so far I own only one, but with any luck (*cough*MINTONCARDNEEDSTORESTOCK*cough*) I'll own a 2nd DragonDoll, a girl, Dai... <3

    14. First, yeah. But not after my Spring reached to my home. My first and second doll were from Luts, Delf and Honey Delf. And my latest doll was from Volks. My wishlist are fully mix by many doll companies, Crobidoll, Volks, Dolkot, etc.

    15. My wishlist used to be filled with dolls from different companies, but after putting the list through major reworking, out of eleven dolls I want:

      1 is from Volks
      and 10 are from Iplehouse, which was the first company I had seen and was the maker of the first doll I fell in love with.

      So I guess I didn't mean to, but it happened: I want dolls from just one company. Although it makes sense, since your tastes could easily coincide with the company's artists and sculptors.

    16. I now have two dolls: Notdoll Lab and Fairyland. I plan still Domuya or Dollstown.

    17. All of my dolls right now are from different companies. Though four of mine do have company "siblings" living under the same roof in my sister's collection.

      It's not something I've thought about too much (with the exception of wishing for a handful of specific Luts dolls since the characters I want them for are from the same family, and they'd need to have definate similarities). By owning dolls from different companies, I've started to notice I do favor some companies over others. But if I really like the look of a certain doll, it probably won't matter to me in the end which company made it.

    18. I'd really like to have a BJD family with dolls from a lot of different companies. But it just so happens that I'm in love with Unoas. I currently have two and a head which needs a body. Then I thought, because I'm obsessed with all my stuff matching and I like when things aren't messy and mixed, I like to keep everything in a certain order, that I'd just stick to Unoas. Until I saw Elfdoll Dami and had to purchase her. Now I feel like I should at least have two dolls from other companies to keep my collection in a certain order. I know it sounds weird, but I'm such a perfectionist, I almost felt bad when I bought my Dami because she wasn't a Unoa and would be totally off. I'd rather have dolls from one company only or have all my dolls being from different companies, so right now it actually really bothers me that my collection is with a bunch of dolls from one company and then one or two from different ones. Mostly because I don't want people to think that they don't mean as much to me because they are not what I mainly or mostly collect. At least all of my dolls are MSD sized. ;)

    19. There was a time I was Volks-only, but currently I own dolls from seven different companies. I enjoy the variety and am definitely open to buying dolls from other companies.

    20. ah dang this list has changed a lot since the last time I posted D:

      Dollmore = 8 full dolls, 2 heads
      Fairyland/CP = 6 full dolls (all Puki Pukis), 2 Delf heads, 2 LTF bodies, 1 MNF head
      B&G = 2 full dolls 1 body
      Luts = 1 full doll 2 heads
      Iplehouse = 1 full doll, 1 body
      Peakswoods = 1 full doll
      Resinsoul = 1 full doll
      Migidoll = 2 heads
      Leekeworld = 1 head
      Soom = 1 head
      Felix Doll = 1 doll
      AngelRegion = 1 doll
      Doll Factory = 1 doll
      Volks = 1 body
      Dumouya = 1 body
      Fantasy Doll = 1 body

      On the way
      Dollshe
      Dikadoll (Head only, though I've since decided to get it a DK body too)

      Immediate wishlist
      Zaoll body
      Volks MSD

      So I think I'm getting more diverse the longer I'm in this hobby. Dollmore is still my heaviest hitter *hands over wallet*, I'll have at least 9 most likely 10 of their dolls for sure and possibly more in the future, but I've learned that they can look fantastic with a lot of other companies dolls, so I'm making it my goal to own as many different ones as I can!
