1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Are all your dolls from one company?

Sep 21, 2009

1. To be honest I tend to really love Migidolls and Leekeworld dolls I just always seem
to really love the sculpts of these companies, Soom as well sometimes, I do think people tend
to favour some companies types of dolls.

2. I'm a sucker for Sooms <3 :D the two I have on the way are both soom boys but I do like some Dream of Doll's and Luts, I don't think I could afford all Soom dolls

3. hmm.. all are my dolls are from Obitsu.. parabox.. since i am quite clumsy.. i find them.. easier to handle.. *dropped my dolls 5 times.. before..*

4. Since that time last year, my collection has taken on a distinctly Soom-ish character. OTL

Soom - 3 dolls, 1 head, 1 (hopefully) incoming head, and I still want more
Luts - 1 doll
Dollshe - 1 doll

I foresee that Soom will definitively take over my collection in the near future. OTL

5. I have mix of dolls from different companies but I admit I do tend to like molds of certain companies that I end up with mulltiple dolls from them. Generally buy for what appeals to me not who made it.

6. Most of my BJD's are from different companies but I have two from Fairyland. I'm sure I will buy the third one from Fairyland also, because I really love their posing abilities, faces and ears. <3

7. I started out with only Luts CP dolls, but over the years I have developed a wide range of them. ;) I've owned Volks, Unidoll, Abio Angel, DiM, Dollmore, DZ, Angelsdolls, Lati, Angelregion and Bambicrony dolls (and probably a few others too) and have enjoyed them all for their own qualities.

8. I was always under the impression that most people did not get more than one or two dolls from the same company for some reason, so when looking for my second doll I don't know if I should just stick with the company I know because I'm familiar with their quality, or try something new?

9. I have all different types I have a Doll Zone, a Dollmore, Bobobie, Soom, Iplehouse and I will two more sooms and a fairyland soon enough.

10. I have all different companies. It makes no difference to me if they are "cheaper" dolls as long as I like them! I have CP, Volks, artist dolls, Soom, OrientDoll.......

11. I currently Have 3 soom Dolls, 2 Dollcatch Dolls, and 2 DZ dolls (one is on her way to faceup)
I must admit that I've been Soomed way to often, I am absolutely in love with almost all their girl sculpts. But as said earlier in this thread: I Don't care what company the doll is from, as long as I like the sculpt/ if the doll fits my intended character :)

12. My favorite sculpts are from CP, but I have a problem with SOOM dolls:
I can't resist when I see a new release, or they are perfect for my characters, or I fall in love with an specific detail.

My real problem isn't a specific store, is the size of dolls. xD Cute YoSDs are my doom. ♥ [little fees and Yo's from Volks mainly]

13. I might as well voice my opinion. I can't stick to Angelheim for long, as it only sells Male MSD Dolls so far. I want to give my boy a friend, and well, I want it to be female. To dress it up in prety dresses. To me I can't stick with Angelheim for that reason, but, if they did sell female MSDs I would buy one from that company, to have the same/very similar blushing. I may have a more practical reason for why I can't stick to this company alone. That and I love soom monthly dolls, and would love to own one. Every company makes different molds - to create new looks. Ovbiously one company might not have all of 'The perfect dolls' for you. I'm really interested if there are people who have ordered only from maybe 1 or 2 companies, and won't go to others.

14. Nope. My first doll, Guen, is a Volks MSD. I just got Brian, her boyfriend, from Iplehouse, and just ordered Sarah, her best friend, from Blue Fairy. I hadn't intended to have more than one doll, actually, but my husband got Guen (a Volks Mika) for me for Christmas a couple of years ago and she looked so much like a character from a novel I wrote when I was fifteen, I had to call her by that character's name. Then I got to looking at the Iplehouse dolls and really thought Ryan would make a great Brian, so I got him. Then my daughter was looking at a Honey Delf from Luts and I happened to look at their Blue Fairy link and decided Xiao would make a perfect Sarah.

So it really is about the doll fitting the character, not about staying with any one company.

15. I have a variety, but the vast majority of my dolls are from Soom

16. I own dolls from different companies (DZ, D.O.D., Doll Leaves, Soom, Elfdoll, AoD, Luts, and a body from Dikadoll), because I like the diversity that comes with that.

But I still have a certain preference. Namely in size (minis that are either childlike or mature, but not too slim and small-headed, which excludes Naraes and Unoas and most likely Minifees f.e.), and I am quite obssessive with their proportions fitting (what even gives me a problem with my AoD, whose head is too big for a female and who will therefore be turned into a guy).

So there are rather certain companies I would not buy from (no matter how much I like the molds).

17. I to own dolls from different company's (fairyland, lati, soom, mydolling, leekeworld, Kaye wiggs).
I would really like to haven own a Volks but I just don't know what size to choose. Sometimes I think I should stick with one size but then a doll comes along and I forget all about that.
I am also a bit afraid to buy a Volks, maybe I will like them so much it will be the start of a whole new and more exspensive collection..

18. So far, my GF and I are both just doing Dollfie Dreams, so yes.

That may change eventually, depending on who makes what. We've both really been liking the look of the Iplehouse 65 and 70cm dolls we've seen.

19. My dolls are from several companies Bobobie, Dollzone, Angel of Dream and Impldoll. I have been looking at the DollLeaves lately but I usually end up with one of the top four.

20. Though I am just starting my BJD collection, I have never planned on having all my dolls be from the same company.
My first doll Maggie is an Asleep Eidolon and my next doll is an Dollzone Aaron. I love so many dolls from different companies that i doubt I will ever just tie myself to one brand. Not that brand loyality is wrong more power to those that love just one brand but for me the BJD world is just to big to reserve my taste to just one brand.
