1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Are all your dolls from one company?

Sep 21, 2009

    1. Nope.

They're all from only two different companies. XD

My collection is a dead even split between Elfdolls and Delfs. I have a couple of dolls on my wishlist from other companies, but right now that's how it stands. I didn't plan for it to come out that way, it just kinda...did.

    2. No, not at all, I own dolls or have ordered dolls form many companies.

    3. All my dolls and planned dolls are from different companies. Sometimes I'll have two dolls from the same company but I like the different and wider range of looks.

    4. Right now I've got two Iples and one Elfdoll hybrid ... but most of my wishlist consists of Iplehouse dolls, so I guess they'll always be the majority.

    5. i think i have a nice Variety of dolls. i currently own
3 doll zones and one new dz boy with a little monica head.
      2 Luts
1 Hujoo ( don't think it really counts as "real" Bjd though)
1 Soom (Waiting for 2 more)
      1 Angel of Dream.
1 Pukipuki ( Pukisha sculpt) (waiting on another pukipuki)

most of them are 1/4 size, my soom is a Beyla 1/6 and my hybrid LM Dz is !/3 along with one other DZ and my pukipuki (puki-chan, i'm so creative XD;) is my tiniest of all :3

I find it interesting to see all the defferent sculpts as well. You can really get a sense for each companies own particular style :)

    6. I like getting dolls from different companies so I can find out which ones have the best posing ability and sculpts and whatnot.

      I currently have:

      1 LeekeWorld
      1 Resinsoul
      1 Bobobie
      2 Doll Heart/JollyPlus
      1 Impldoll
      2 Souldoll
and I'm currently waiting for my Ringdoll to get here :)

As a side note, the posing capabilities of my Doll Hearts have been great and so has the Impldoll baby. But Bobobie and Resinsoul leave something to be desired in the posing department, even though they are really cute. haha.
So I guess posing ability is why I have different dolls from different companies. I like to try them all :)

    7. I have to say, I don't think I have a favourite company... as much as I like Soom, they're not the only company who makes amazing fantasy dolls, and I do have a soft spot for Blue Fairy, but... my wish list is pretty diverse, and I honestly think I'd buy a doll from every company if I could. x3

      Currently, I have:

      2 Sooms (third ordered)
      2 5stardolls
      1 Pukipuki
      1 Tiny Fairy
      1 Obitsu (head)

    8. No. Actually, my first lover is a doll from AS, but I missed him, cause I was thinking the head sculpt was changed after 2009. Last week I just brought DWC01 form volks, I wish he can come back soon:aheartbea

    9. All my dolls are from different companies.

    10. My dolls made different authors - Connie Lowe, Kaye Wiggs, Kim Lasher

    11. As of right now I got 3 dolls from 2 companies, 1 DollZone and 2 Fairyland, but I'm waiting on 2 more and one is from Fairyland the other one is from Luts. So, I guess I tend to order more from Fairyland but I do want other companies. So far these are working for me though.

    12. No, I find I love all the companies. They all kind of have their own "personality" when creating dolls.
To me doll companies are like a race (since all of their sculpts are very similar in a sense), if you only buy from one company you don't have any variety (...when shipping). This is with the exeption of a few companies though.

    13. Hi! I have dolls by Kaye Wiggs, Iplehouse, Fairyland, Dollmore, Asella`s dolls, Doll-Zone, the Slipping elf, Dream hight studio doll and some author's BJD. But today most of all at me dolls from Kaye! But I without mind from the small fairy from Dream hight studio and Raspberry by Asella!

    14. Two of my three dolls are from Doll Family, and I like some more there. I just adore the noses they make:lol:.

    15. No, they are not. In the beginning I did tend to stick to the same companies, Dollzone and 5StarDoll.
I don't really like Dollzone's new releases, so there are only a couple of (older) sculpts left that I like.
As for 5StarDoll... Most sculpts look really good, but I don't really want them.

Most dolls that I plan to order are from other, small and unknown companies now. :)

    16. Nope! I buy my dolls for their sculpt not their brand... I even have a couple I've made myself XD There are just so many fabulous options out there, it's so hard to choose just one company and stick with it ^^

    17. I have four boys at home, currently. 3 are from Luts and 1 is from Fairyland. I have two on the way that are from Luts.

If I had my way I'd have one more from FL, one from Iplehouse, two more from Luts and one from Crobidoll but for me it's sculpt preference, not company preference.

    18. Not anymore, theyre not. I have dolls from luts, fairyland, dollmore, soom, souldoll, and now kaye wiggs.

    19. I own 12 dolls from several companies and only recently I sort of understood the reason why I'm unable to buy dolls from the same company... at least not in the same size XD
      I like variety but more than that what really bothers me is the idea of having 2 dolls with the same body sculpt... yeah... pretty strange, isn't it? ^^;
I actually own 4 dolls from Luts and I'm ok with them, but if you consider that they are a kid delf girl, a senior delf girl, a delf boy and an event head on ariadoll male body, you see I followed the 'body rule' without realizing it even in this case.
I noticed this quirk of mine only recently, when Luts re-started Delf line: I was pretty excited at the beginning, but when the body pictures were out I said: "Oh nooo, I can't see Reiner's body on someone else in this house!! TwT" (Reiner is my El)
It was my epiphany and made me realize that more than loving a lot of companies I kinda hate to own too similar dolls X°D

So I actually own 12 dolls that come from 8 different companies: Angelregion, Luts, Dollzone, Dolkot, Fairyland, Ariadoll, Crobidoll and Little Monica UU

    20. Exactly half and half.
