1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Are all your dolls from one company?

Sep 21, 2009

    1. Currently I own two dolls from the same company, Leekeworld, but the next doll I'm saving up for is a Kid Delf Bory and I know from here on that I will have a mixed group of dolls ^_^

    2. Nope. I love to shop around. My boy is from fantasydoll, and the girl I'm waiting on is doll-zone. and my wish list includes a bunch of different companies.

    3. I am not a "one-company girl" either. I have four BJDs and they are all from different companies. The only company I could actually consider buy another doll from is Iplehouse - I love their sculpts and the only reason I don't buy another is because I'm more of a tinies person really. I love my one msd-sized girl, but I don't need another one ;)

    4. I''ve got dolls from three companies; Fairyland, Luts and Latidoll. All my Fairyland and Luts dolls are CP sculpts and I only have one boy from Latidoll. Its quite obvious what I like.

    5. Right now both my girls are just from Bobobie. That will change very soon. i've got my eye on some Littlefee from Fairyland haha

    6. Nope. I have one from BBB/RS, one from DZ, two Fairylands, one Angel Region, one Crobidoll, and one Volks on layaway. I have dolls from DoD, DIM, and Oceanmoon planned. I like a wide variety of companies.

    7. Not all of mine are from one company ^^; I have two Pipos anthros at home, one on the way, and one more that I know I will get eventually. I would own all of them if I could afford it! XD I plan on most of mine being from Pipos and Fairyland.

    8. There are some company's sculpts I have more attraction to than others...what I mean is that some companys have designers whose work I like more than others; I would be happy to own more than one of their dolls. However, my limited collection is from all over. I've got Soom, Souldoll, Planetdoll, Narindoll and others. No repeats :)

    9. I am all over the place... Volks, Custom House, Migidoll, Domuya, Spiritdoll, Souldoll... LOL And I have my eye on Fairyland.

    10. I'm sticking to one company to prevent a population explosion, lol!

My dolls are mostly Volks, but I do have a Souldoll Snyder, a Delf Lishe and a Camellia Dynasty Wong. If I want to add to my doll family, the doll will be coming from Volks. I find that limiting myself to the company where I've recieved the best customer service and found that I prefer the quality of their products is the best way for me to buy dolls that I know I'll like and also keep my doll family relatively small.

    11. Only Volks for me! I do look around DoA at the other doll brands, but so far looking at other dolls just reaffirms my love for Volks quality and sculpts. I also want my dolls to match though, even within the Volks company I'm picky out my dolls having a similar aesthetic, so it's not likely I'll ever buy a different brand.

    12. I love ver very much Volks, and most of the dolls in my whislist are from Volks. But I like other companies too, so I've bought them BJD. I have a favourite company but that doesn't mean I don't like the other ones, there are plenty of beautiful dolls out there.

    13. I've got 2 dolls and they're both from Luts but it's simply because I love those 2 in particular. Personally I wouldn't stick to one doll company as I think there are so many wonderful ones available. I'm considering buying a doll from either Iplehouse or Souldoll in the near futre.

    14. I'm slowly growing my family with several different makers...so far I have four dolls from Fairyland, one from Souldoll, one from Impl, one on layaway from Tinybear, and a Limhwa who I'm saving up for. I'm planning on getting a DOD, another Souldoll, a Iple, and most likely a Soom...however, don't think I'll stop there ;)

    15. No, I'm not loyal to any one brand, but I am very selective. The companies that have the quality level and aesthetic that I prefer are Volks (dominating my collection by a longshot...), Alchemic Labo, and Narindoll. Those are the only companies I really keep an eye on. Very few dolls from other companies interest me, or fit into my collection.

    16. Yes, I am exclusive to one doll company. But I only have one doll, so of course I only have dolls from one company XD .

Still, I do plan to only buy from one company, or 1.5 if you could call it that. Blue Fairy and MinoruWorld, though they're so tied-at-the-hip they're like siamese twin companies X3 . I'll buy clothes, shoes, etc. anywhere else, but dolls only from BFMW!

I made this choice to keep them all stylistically consistent. I want to make sure they all match to a T. When first setting out looking for the dolls I wanted, I had this as a very major prerequisite along with making sure that I loved the body sculpt. Veeery helpful to narrow the playing field. Lots of body sculpts I didn't like, crossing out whole companies since they usually one have 1-2 per gender. Some companies only had one body sculpt I like, but the other gender's body sculpt I didn't (example; I love the MiniFee girl body but not the MiniFee boy body.) . Or I didn't like the face sculpts even though I liked the body, or vice versa.

So I was on the lookout for a company with a line of minies that had body sculpts that I loved for boys, girls, and a more ambiguous build along with a variety/style of face sculpts that I liked on top of a good reputation and passable posing. That I love their tinies, which are of a consistent style, is a huge plus. =D And, bonus! They're white/misty/normal skins are all beautiful, but they may even come out with a tan eventually, which I'd REALLY REALLY LIKE X3 . :everexcited about a tan possibility:

Maybe it's restricting to be one-company-exclusive, but I know it'd drive me up the wall to have different styled dolls together... even if they were pretty similar, I just wouldn't like it.

    17. I have a Luts Bory, BBB Moony, and Migidoll Jina head (soon to be delf hybrid). This isn't mentioning my wish list that includes dolls from other companies as well.

So no xD my dolls are not all from the same company and I quite like the variety :)

    18. Up all but one...(All of them or soom dolls)....one is a luts...

    19. I have a mixed crew. My first doll was a dollzone, with a tiny bjd (the bunny one) as a christmas gift back then.
After that, I got 5 luts delfs, 1 fairyland feeple (2 heads sharing body, will buy a second feeple body sometime..), 1 peakswoods doll, 1 dollmore doll, 1 souldoll, and 3 sooms (plus 1 head) at home, and 2 large sooms and 2 soom tinies (plus 1 extra head) incoming.

Last months, I only got Soom dolls. I really love them.
So my crew is mixed at this moment, and I am not planning to sell any of them, I think almost all my future dolls will be soom dolls too, because I really love them. :aheartbea

    20. I do have 2 dolls from Iplehouse (and considering a third one, but that won't be for a while), a hybrid of Doll in Mind Minimee and Buddydoll, and a soon-to-arrive Dollmore Model (though there are a few more Dollmore dolls I'd really like).
