Are "Fantasy" dolls more attractive to you?

I'm not a fan of vampire sculpts at all XD
haven't found one I've ever liked so far, but elf ears are pretty cute! I would never buy a doll just for elf ears though. If I buy a pretty mold with elf is then yey! If I don't , I can live XD
on the other hand I can't even explain how much I love dolls with animal parts! ~

Ok so I LVE animal dolls XD! Im trying to get the new soom girl now! However i do find a good ol'fashion human to be handy at times

 

The two dolls I am planning to get will have elf ears because the characters are elves... just as if i wanted a human I would buy a human head fantasy dolls can be nice if their sculpt is balanced, ie eyes not to close or vampire fangs that look like a saber tooth tiger or elven ears you could direct traffic with

 

I don't mind elf ears, and I like the little fairy-type dolls, like the Fairyland pukis. But the big dolls with the weird feet, horns, etc., do nothing for me. Though I will admit that I quite like Soom's Breccia, but not enough to spend the big bucks. Her fox ears are kind of spiffy.

And I am so bored of vampires, I can't even tell you. Oh please, let that fad pass soon.

 

Um, yeah, love the fantasy parts!

My resin family has elf ears, hooves, wings and other animal parts galore!

 

It wasn't until I read this thread that I even contemplated people not getting extremely excited about fantasy mods like I do xD

I love anthros and I adore dolls with hooves/wings/horns/antlers/paws/tails etc

Now I've thought about it maybe that's why I never bonded with my 1st doll, a MNF shushu, she was too normal?

 

I've always liked fiction, and the same applies to dolls."Fantasy" dolls look amazing, like something straight from my imagination.

I love normal looking dolls, too, but I have a soft spot for elf ears. >.>

 

While I do indeed have one human doll that I love I prefer more fantasy style sculpts. Well, actually I much prefer animal like sculpts. Elves and fairies never really do much for me. Even when I was little my favorite toys were always animals and my favorite childhood book were ones told from an animals point of view. Books like Poppy and Black Beauty inspired me, so it's no surprise that I like the anthro esq dolls with animal parts best.

 

For me, it depends on the doll. I tend to prefer human dolls, but when I find a fantasy doll that gets my inner nerd going, then I'm in love. I can imagine falling for oodles of human dolls via others' owner pics, but I think a fantasy doll would get more play time and lots more accessories. So I just have to curb the urge to buy every doll out there I think is pretty, and just collect the ones that hit me the hardest.

 

Never been one for the fantasy. My closest friends LOOOVE fantasy (it's all they read XD) but I much prefer reality. Probably because I was always a cynical kid who saw too much of the world too early. It's just not appealing to me, all the elves, merpeople, vampires. Now, I will admit that I ADORE The Lord of the Rings, but that's really it. For the dolls: nope.

 

I love fantasy, and I like elves and vampires, but I haven't seen any molds with the ears or fangs that I like. To make up for this, I'll give my human doll as much fantasy-style clothes as I can afford.
I don't really like animal dolls (unicorns etc) though! I'd go for a stuffed toy if I wanted one.

 

I guess I'm one of those people for whom the fantasy element is a complete turn-off. My characters, and by extension my dolls, are firmly grounded in the human world. I guess it's because I've always found humans interesting enough that I don't have to give them extra fantastic elements to satisfy myself. I can't see myself ever buying an elf or vampire or satyr or whathaveyou. Granted, I own a Soom Cass, but she is anything but a mermaid (and only has the human parts) and is possibly my most down to earth character.

 

I am much more drawn to fantasy styled dolls then regular ones, but I do love me a good human doll as well. I am picky about my elf ears though! I love them big and pointy and outwards.

 

I'll be honest, all of my dolls are normal human dolls, but that's because they're human-like, or they're supposed to be anyway.

A friend of mine has a doll with elf ears, and I certainly don't mind that. It's not like I don't want her doll associating with mine because it's an elf or anything.

I personally prefer to have human dolls, that's all. Now, I do think some of the more fantastical dolls are beautiful, but they just aren't something that I would personally buy.

 

I love the fantasy sculpts - the more unusual the better! Most of the character dolls I'll be getting will need fantasy mods (Scythe will need dragon ears, tail, and wings.) Of course I have nothing against human dolls; I love my Eli as much as any vampire or fox boy, I just like the sculpts.

 

I'm someone who has always loved fantasy anything... books, movies, games... you name it! I think the 'normal' human looking dolls are beautiful in their own right, but I love the elf ears!
All the other extra stuff that you can get, I have nothing against them, but they're not really for me. I just think the elf ears do just enough to make the dolls seem more mystical and erethral without making them completely removed from 'human'. Maybe a pair of wings every so often...

That said, every so often I come across a pic of a doll with all sorts of extras, and I think it looks great! Just not something I think I'd get for myself.

 

Since my doll family consists of only Mythical creatures and the like, i would say "yes, yes they do..." Lol

I have some mytical creatures in my family that are human form in the norm, like witches... and some others... But for the most part, all my characters have some sort of fantastical body part...

 

I have to say that i do like seeing fantasy dolls, but i wouldn't get one for myself. just can't get into it.

 

Not at all! I like "normal people" dolls.

 

i like elf eared ones but some I think are a bit over the top, hooves for feet- unicorn corns, etc.
i'd like to get myself a nice little elf though, and I've only ever seen a few vampire bases/horned ones and I've seen good and bad for both :3
