1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Are your dolls a family?

Jul 25, 2019

    1. Mine are a found family (my favorite trope)! :)

I'll get my girl a blood-related big brother if I ever find the perfect sculpt, but until then they're all a ragtag group of misfits that have been forced to live and work together. I love this dynamic and I give everyone a family role (crazy aunt, overprotective dad, troublemaker youngest child) even though they're not blood-related.

    2. I have two dolls who are adopted sisters, but other than that I don't think I'd be interested in making a family unless their backstory requires it.

    3. I eventually want to create a family such as siblings or couples, but I haven’t really thought of anything past that. I do know that I want them all to be friends or have some relationship with one another.

    4. Mine are a family of sorts; Verona, Oliver, Nicolai and Raphael are siblings... I am trying to sort out dolls for their parents. There is also my Perry Ellis who doesn’t really fit anywhere yet.

Then I have others such as my dolls of Lestat and Louis from Interview With The Vampire. Hopefully one day I will also find the right doll to be my Bowie.

    5. Some of mine are related. I have a father, his fraternal twin sons, both of their partners and one of them has two daughters. Another family has the father, a son and his partner and three adopted children, and a daughter and her partner. There is also a grandson from another, unshelled daughter in that family group. Another family group is just a brother and a sister who are adopted late in the story by one of the other guys. They're all in the same storyline, even the unrelated ones.

    6. My dolls are not a family but they are part of my family lol

    7. Three of my dolls will be brothers. (I say "will be" because two of them are floating heads right now). They're all Fairyland Ante sculpts (one of them a littlefee and the other two minifees). Eventually I will get their baby sister as a pukifee Ante. I appreciate that Fairyland liked the Ante sculpt enough to do this to us :XD:
