1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Aria Doll (formerly Everpurple) Discussion

Apr 2, 2010

    1. I'm too poor to get a dollie lol...I luv Valentine! She'd be a great younger sister!

      Yes I luv araki's work a lot too that's why I'm also attracted to Aria's dolls :).
Do not worry the mods are very strict they would never allow a discussion thread if there was a problem.

Besides the hands are similar but Unon's right hand is different and the left hand do has some subtle differences.

Kya congrats on getting a second dolly :) they are lovely dolls! *sight* I want 1 so badly hehe

ps: does anyone know if Valentine or any of the other Sweet dollies can wear 16mm eyes?

    2. It's not, it's 17 cm, I've just measured. It would be a doll with strange proportions it it was 21 cm. *^v^*

My Narvy arrived last week and today I took some comparison photos of her next to Unoss Aika, so just for reference:

It's interesting for me how dollfie's beauty standards/quality of dolls changed over the years, Narvy's body is just perfect - in the quality of the resin/body parts as well as the proportions (hands/feet clearly belong to a girl, contrary to Unoss's example... ~^^~). Still, they both have beautiful faces.
(Please disregard my quick makeup, it will be changed this week into something more subtle.)

    3. thx for that info Nrahdelt!

the face up btw looks amazing! Mot to mention the chest blushing... it looks positively sinful ;)

      nice comparisson shots too! :)

So here is a general question for everyone:
From where are you planning on getting clothes for this girl?

    4. I make doll clothes $ wigs myself, all my dolls have been dressed that way so my Narvy will be, too. ~^^~

    5. thanks for the pics, seeing dolls next to each other really helps me out to know what I want next. I love the hands on the narvy, they look so femininee and pretty

    6. I have never seen a narvy doll before , I will go look up their site

    7. It could also be that the Aria sculptor has trained with Araki or at a similar school. I know people commented on Oasis doll's likeness to Elfdoll and it turned out that Sarina was such a huge fan of Rainman's that she begged him to let her study under him. She did and went on to produce her own range.

    8. I didn't know that!!! That explains why elf doll is selling Sarina's dolls at the moment.

    9. Yes, I think a few people were thrown by how much Oasis looked like Elfdoll then Rainman posted a photostory on his blog to explain. He's very proud of his pupil and with good reason. The oasis girls are really lovely.

The Aria dolls do look similar stylistically but are different enough that I don't think anyone is seriously worried about them being copies.

    10. She shipped!!!!!!:D Today I got an email from Aria Doll telling me that she shipped!!!!! Can't wait to get her!!!!!! I hope they don't take forever! "Doing the happy dance!":dance

    11. Did anybody get both of the torso pieces that they can take pictures of? The website pictures are okay, but I'd like to see owner pics of the two torsos together. It looks like the D cup torso shape is a little different in the hips and waist, and I'd just like to confirm this, as I'm really trying to save up for one of these girls. :)

    12. Have you seen the pictures thatare already posted in this thread? I think that Etoible has both torsos and she has posted pictures here as well as some more on her flickr.

*EDIT: I just visited the Aria doll site and they have an announcement, that their english web master is very sick, he has been sick to bed and now he is hospitalized! It must really serious :(

    13. Thank you! I just took a look at her FlickR. I am really starting to like the D Cup a little more than the other. :)

I saw that too! I hope that they will be okay!

    14. Hobbysue, I don't think it is because of the body I ordered from Everpurple. First of all, you might want to recheck my post. I did not "badmouth" the company. Also, the only place I have ever discussed my concerns was here - and nowhere else. I have no idea if these are the same company. Their contact information was the same at the time I was trying to figure out what happened to my order. Their paypal addresses are the same address ([email protected]). The ONLY reason I requested a refund rather than continuing to patiently wait was because in the time between my order and my filing a dispute with Paypal about undelivered merchandise, the Everpurple site effectively closed down. There is now information on it about Auckland - which I believe is in New Zealand. Their refund policy is about ink and toner. (???) And there were other customers on both their new and old Englsih websites posting repeatedly about delivery of their orders with apparently no replies. In researching what became of Everpurple, i found this thread. Obviously, I am not the customer who has been telling "communities" that Everpurple did not deliver merchandise to me. The only purpose of my message was to let people know that waiting, without communication from any company, could put the customer at financial peril if they extend their wait beyond the sixty day limit with Paypal without using a personal credit card for their Paypal payment. I've always received excellent communication from other companies - and knew the status of my order and the status (wait time) of the delivery. This was my first - and evidently my last - order with Everpurple. Can you imagine my confusion, dealing with a "new" company - and receiving no answers? It looked like the company had closed up shop shortly after I paid for my order. And, they did not send the doll until after I filed a dispute with Paypal - which, for me, was a drastic thing to do as it signaled my decision to "give up" on ever getting the body.

I did not speak wrongly about Aria Doll. I only wrote about my experiences with Everpurple after I saw Aria was having production difficulties. My purpose was altruistic. I just hated for anyone else to go through what I did - fearing I had lost my investment. I was more than willing to wait - but I needed to know they were still in business and still planning on delivering their outstanding orders. If they had communicated that to me in a meaningful way, I would never have filed a dispute.

And so, I feel badly about any "rumors" in the "communities" but I cannot take responsibility for them. i only wrote what was exactly true. I stated that I hoped this was just an unfortunate "glitch" and that my problem with Everpurple was resolved. And urged people to seek good communication with Aria since they stated they were having production problems. Maybe there is someone out there that is "bad-mouthing" these companies, but it definitely is not me.

    15. rowan: I am not gonna comment on all the things you have wrote, but I am very happy to say that Aria has resolved their problem and they have started shipping again :) and I also think that their only relation at this point, is that the owner and sculptor of Aria, was the fromer sculptor of everpurple.

    16. All these informations are samples from default english webshop template and they didn't change it. At the top on almost every page there is a word "Sample".
For me, it looks rather funny, but I was in Korea once and I know, that for them English is not a simple language.
I emailed AD about that, but because their english webmaster is sick just now, I probably won't get a response soon.

Edit. Out of curiosity, I checked EP site. Apparently they also sell computer parts and are located in Auckland :)

    17. I love the body photos. I'm thinking of ordering the current limited girl. I see they're now making them limited to 25 rather than time limited. That gives people a little more time to save. I should be able to get her hopefully. The body looks amazing.

    18. Is there much of an interest in the Valentines so far? I am wanting to order, but we have a horrible person in charge that has a rule that I must clear out older and unwanted dolls before we go ordering new ones >_<
Which is not good, if it is amount limited...
I am loving the Aria design, so glad to have access to so many pictures of other peoples dolls!
Speaking of which, no Aria database yet?

Oh I also meant to ask: Does everyone's Narvy stand well in their jointed heel feet? I am not such a fan of the beautiful sculpted legs, I far too much prefer movement and jointing, but I would really love to know if she stands as well in the jointed heels.
If anyone could answer that, or direct me to a picture of a standing heeled jointed doll, that would be fantastic. So far I can only find many many beautiful pictures of the sculpted leg!

    19. I'm interested in a Valentine, but I need to sell some dolls I have in the marketplace. Valentines have such cute noses.

    20. I am very interested in Valentine as well, in fact I placed an order for one, but I was forced to cancel it a few days later due to financial reasons. I am also very interested to see the dolls that Aria will come up for the lines of 16 years old.
