Aria Doll (formerly Everpurple) Discussion

Well I got my new narvy yesterday

And she is perfect, even coloured and everything.
I'm glad ariadoll was so quick replacing her, I am absolutely in love with the high heel legs, so sexy, I need to get a whole load of mules for her to wear ^_^

 

I got a shipping notice for my Valentine!!

Yay I got my girl yesterday as well, but unfortunately for me, my city's been having an extreme heat advisory for the past few days, and my girls shoes and regular feet were damaged because of it! When I opened the box, it felt like a sauna inside and when I unwrapped the shoes and feet, which were in bubble wrap with an elastic around it, I noticed they were warped. The feet aren't too bad, but the shoes are a loss.

I made these lighter so you could see:






I had to up the contrast to make the line visible. It's not as bad in real life:


Does anyone know if a steam bath will revert them, or do you think I should send them back. Seems unfair since it wasn't the packaging, but rather the weather that's to blame.

I've also made some comparison pictures between her and Everpurple's Lusil as well as Lusil and some of my other boys (I think this was asked for before).

Here are the comparisons with Lusil, sorry for the blurriness, my camera had trouble catching both of them together since he's so much darker:


The faces are pretty similar, and even though it's hard to tell, they do have differences. Valentine's nose is larger and her cheeks less chubby. She also has a pointier chin. Lusil has separate teeth parts.


I received Lusil a few months ago and then dyed him, but his headcap remains the original color. It seems like the resin was more yellow toned then. Valentine is a more peachy colour.


In profile it's even harder to see the differences. They could be twins.

Sorry to hear about the heat :s..had no idea it can be that hot that it can influence yer dollies resin . Can you sand the part at the feet?

By the way nobody squealing about the new Iris sleeping and secret girls?? Cause I'm luving the secret Iris!

Caracco If the shoes are made of resin, you might want to try re-shaping them using the boiling method. You can also pop dents out of the feet using this technique.

Now I'll have my "giant Unoa" which I always dreamed of and never thought I'd get. ^___^
So she's not really an Unoa Zero, but hey.. she's gorgeous anywayz

 

XD I ended up with another dolly a month ago before I knew about the new Aria dolly XD. So alas I can't get me an Aria girl once again *so sad* lol..but I did score a Ches-a head so I'm not bummed.

Congrats with the Sleeping Iris ClockworkAngel!! I always wanted a 60cm Unoa..I thought Unon would be that but when I had her. Her weight, pointy nose, big boobs and slimness felt all wrong to me. She didn't feel like a big Unoa to me. I'm still waiting for Araki to make me my perfect dolly XD haha. But so far I'm luving Aria dolls so I'm not sad hurhur.

I would like an Iris secret, but I am trying to avoid the SD size girls. She has an Unoa quality. And they're such a good price.

 

I definitely do want a Bianca! I've admired her from afar for so long and now I'll order this month or even this week - I just have to wait for my pay check to transfer into my bankaccount... it seems to take forever this month, LoL^^° And I might even get a pair of free eyes - yay!

I wonder how many dolls they actually sell in a whole month - meaning how high the chances are for customers to get one of these event free dolls?
I haven't seen many of their dolls in the database, either. That's sad, they're so lovely.

 

If I had the money, I would jump on this in hopes of winning a whole second doll! But sadly, I do not. I love the Aria body so much!

I wish they'd sell the heads separately. I've got an EP Iris head that I'm hybridizing and would like a Secret head, but I'm not buying another whole doll to get it. I don't like the big breasts on the new body-preferred the original EP body, but all I could find on the MP was the head.

The prices are very reasonable though, and I do love their look. I might be in for a 16 yr. old boy one day.

I want Bianca as well, but didn't think I had a chance of affording her, but then my hubby actually asked me early what I would like for my birthday and I said dolly cash. We were talking and I remarked how my parents hated giving me cash hence I always asked them for appliances. He said he felt the same. I told him he could buy me a doll, but the one I wanted was around $500 AUD. He said 'fine'. My jaw dropped. So I'm getting Bianca next Thursday (payday) and while I don't expect her here for my birthday (9th October), she'll be my birthday doll.

 

Yay for you! My husband refuses to buy me dollies for my birthday. It's not the cost factor, but because he reckons I'll eventually buy want I want anyway and he'd be helping feed my habit. Meanie!

 

Well, my hobbies are BJDs and sewing so he struggles to find a present if I don't tell him what I want.
