Oh, I can't wait to see! (I'd love to see your isabel, too! Think I remember her box opening. )

 

It's been a week since I ordered Banana, so hopefully I'll be getting him next week. I'll post pictures of him and my Isabel together when he arrives.​

 

I need a body so I was hoping to get Banana ^^. But the heads look a little bit iffy on the girl body to me for some reason.
Hope I'll be able to place a layaway order this month.

I have had my Valentine for ages but haven't posted her because she didn't have clothing that I liked on her. I tried this dress on that I'd made and was surprised to find I liked it (it wasn't what I'd had planned for her).

 

Valentine is a really sweet mold!!

I received a Banana few days ago, she is really close to the Valentine (I think it's the exact same mouth and nose) and I'm fond of our two Aria girls!!

 

How does her head look on the body? i am really tempted by Banana (and Cherry too!) but the pics on the Ariadoll website make their heads look soo tiny on the long necks. Your Banana is truly lovely, Lywann, so dreamy eyed!

 

I'd love to know if the head is really so tiny too Your Ariadolls are really cute

Ariadolls have a BIG head, but a small face on it ^^
Banana and valentine seemed to have both a too long neck on the website pics, in person, it's less obvious. Ooooof course, a wig wich let see ears, or without any kind of fang will make the little face more important, but with the good wig, it's absolutely not ugly : )

I love Aria Doll's bodies, but I have to say Isabel's body is slightly more poseable than Banana's.​

 

Wow xinwang! Is your Banana boy white skin or normal skin? He is very very cute~ I can't wait to see more of him! And I have to agree, the boy body doesn't pose as well as the girl body or others, but it's still very nice.

 

My Banana's in NS; Isabel beside him is in WS. He's light pinkish and she's got a very slight yellowish tinge.
I see that you have a Narvy and Van, Caracco; would it be too much trouble to ask for some pictures of them? ​

 

Hey guys - I just 'discovered' Aria dolls, and have fallen in love with Narvy (14 years elegance version). I am a big fan of the Unoa aesthetic, but not of the giant knockers, pointy noses & tallness of the Unon... nor the giant hips, hands & feet of the Unoss (not to mention, they're practically impossible to find without shelling out major $$$$). Narvy seems to be practically exactly what I've been imagining the perfect SD-sized girl might be. I swoon at the WS, B-cup, multi-leg option.

But I look on the Aria website, and only the body is for sale. Does anyone know if Narvy as a complete doll (head + body) will be released again? I know that it has been mentioned several times on this thread that Aria isn't going to sell heads alone ever, so it would suck if I bought a body and hybridized with another company's head, just for the full doll to be released a few months later.

If I were to hybridize, I'd want a head with similar features & matching resin. Anyone have suggestions for a WS, rounded nose, fuller lip head that might work with this fabulous body?

It sucks that I find the perfect doll and she's not for sale - boooooo (seems like that's the usual for this hobby, lol).

 

The new Ziv head by Impldoll remind me of Aria Doll's sculpts a lot. It's a sleeping head, and I'm not sure about resin matching. If you are interested, however, you can always go to the discussion thread for these dolls. There's picture of the blank head there.
They are selling a Narvy boy right now, so you could always buy the full doll and sell the boy body and buy a girl one.
Another option is asking Aria Doll if they're willing to sell you a Narvy on a girl body even if she's listed as sold out.

Sometimes Narvy does come up for sale. I bought her for a similar reason. I liked the Unoa vibe, but Narvy appeared to come without the main thing I hated about the Unoas - namely the ears appeared too low on the head due to the way the headcap attaches. The fact that she was almost 1/10th the price was a big plus as well. Supposedly they won't be selling her again, but they have re-released sleeping versions of sculpts. They've never done a NS sleeping version of Narvy so there's still a chance of that. I'd ask on the Q&A whether they'd ever consider it. The chances are that they will say no, but at least they'll know that there are people interested.

 

Thanks guys! I looked at just about every pic of this doll I could find on Flickr, and kept running into Everpurple Iris, who I found to be possibly even cuter than Narvy (while still very similar, which is understandable since they are by the same artist). There was an Iris head in the Marketplace that had a great faceup and white skin, so I jumped at it, especially since that sculpt probably really won't ever be sold again.

I asked on Ariadoll's Q&A board if they would sell me a Narvy boy head with a 14-year old Elegance body (since they do say on one of their info pages that they could change bodies upon request). We'll see what they say. I think it would be cool to have both heads, since I find them both lovely.

 

That should work as well. I hope you're able to get a Narvy as it is a really lovely sculpt. I've always liked Iris as well.

 

I also just discovered these dolls tonight. They have the most beautiful bodies! Does anyone know if I could match the Ariadoll ws with Bobobie ws? I would be so grateful to see a comparison!

 

Hey guys, Aria has released a new 14-year mold, Lady Lynn. From Aug 26 - Sept 4 they are offering free heel feet, heel legs and urethane eyes for those who order her as a girl, or free eyes if you order the boy version. I am super tempted - I had asked them a few weeks ago if they would sell 16-year boy Narvy on a 14-year girl body, and they said no. I was already planning on ordering all the various leg options. I'm not super in love with the Lady Lynn mold, bit what I really need is a body for my Iris. Hmmm, decisions decisions...

 

I'm thinking of just buying a body (tiny 14 yrs) and just keeping it and choosing a head later. They are just sooo beautiful! And the price is really good too. I love the leg heels idea.
