Aria Doll (formerly Everpurple) Discussion

Hi! I have exactly the same problem than jennalolly. I bought a second-hand body and as it came unstrung to me, at first I thought I had made any mistake while restringing it. So I look for stringing tutorial for this particular body and even following it step by step, my girl's legs twist and then falls to the floor O_o

Maybe it's me that I'm still doing anything wrong? I really love this body and wouldn't like to let it go...

Big BAD news - Aria Doll is closing.

The sculptor probably signed an agreement and the bodies will be later available at SWITCH, but not the heads.

Does anyone know if the 16 grace body is as shiny as it looks in pictures or if it's more matte like the 14 elegance body images? I'm trying to figure out if I want to go with an ariadoll body for my spare unon faceplate, and debating if I want to get a 14 vs 16 based on the texture of the resin and how well it may possibly match. Thanks!

 

I have both the 16 years and 14 years body (male versions) and I have to say I can't find a difference in the resin at all, it's likely just the way it was photographed.

 

This makes me sad that they are closing... I just stumbled on the news post and decided to have a look and their Spring Fairy Narvy would be perfect for a character I want to make in doll form... but I dont have the $437 [doll +shipping] to get her home x.x If I had time to save up it wouldnt be a problem but they are closing at the end of this month and it makes me really sad x.x I havent even bought a doll yet and I just fell in love with her!

 

I'm a big Switch fan, so this is both exciting and a shame, I've been hunting for a limited head on the market and now have a chance... if I can pull it off in 30 days! >_< LOL have got to love doll hobby and it's double-edged blessings~

 

This is really unfortunate. Ariadoll is one of my favourite companies, and it's sad to see they're closing sales.

I am not really happy about their choice to affiliate with Switch because they offered more choice in resin skin tones (white skin at Aria is always available, but I don't remember Switch releasing WS as a standard choice), plus I am not sure they ship to my country. I don't know if they're going to rise the price or not...
However, what makes me more uncomfortable is the kind of "innovations" they are talking about. I hope they won't modify anything in the sculpt, I like Ariadoll bodies because they haven't jointed torso...
Since manifacturing will belong to Switch, it's obvious that they will change resin match in order to make it fit to Switch heads.
I really don't know what to think at the moment. I was planning to purchase a WS 14yrs elegance body for my Ordoll Eris, I haven't so much time now to save money and I am a bit disappointed...

Same here, I love their bodies, because they don't have those torso joints which I can't stand sometimes, I hope they don't raise the prices.

Well, I guess now is the time to get a doll I had on my wish list forever, but always put off due to limiteds coming out all the time. I am sad that Aria is closing down. I wonder what will happen to the head molds? Surely, they won't just disappear?

 

I'm so glad that I just brought one of these, this way I won't have to worry about their move to switch.

 

I'm just glad that there's a month in which to buy what we want. I don't know what changes will be made after the move, and the fate of the heads is in question, too. I am definitely getting one of their dolls, maybe two, depending on how lucky I get with Volks lottery

 

Wow, I am very glad I ordered Seto when I did then! I'm sad to see them go, too.

 

I've also been putting off getting one of their dolls... I guess I must act now then! (>_<)

 

Sigh, it's really such a shame that they're closing ;_; I've already been eying Narvy for a character I have. I'm just a little upset because that body and face was more than perfect. And I really loved the single-piece torso. It's so beautifully sculpted.

A part of me wishes I didn't discover Aria Doll, too. Sadly, I'm waiting on a two dolls already D: Getting another one while I'm bracing myself for the whiplash of taxes is not a good idea.

 

I'm really sad about Aria Doll closing as well.
Quite torn too, now that I suddenly have a totally unexpected second opportunity to get Zion who got away earlier... Since then I found out that, for me, SD's are rather more difficult to handle than MSD's, so I decided to focus on them instead, despite how much I love Aria's larger dolls. I really love my Everpurple Iris and Aria Valentine boys who share a body, but I have kind of neglected them for a while because of their size. Zion is even a bit larger...
What to do?

I've just placed my order to Aria dolls three days ago, I've received their paypal invoce and paid immediately. Anyway they haven't still confirmed my order and I don't know why they aren't answering anymore to the Q/A board. O_O It has been two days since my last message on it but still no news...
Do I have to worry?
