1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Aria Doll (formerly Everpurple) Discussion

Apr 2, 2010

    1. That has happened several times for Soom Monthly dolls. People have had to cancel their order, or have defected on their layaways, so their doll is offered on the site for the first person to grab it. I think with some companies, if you cancel after a certain point in the process, you do not receive a full refund (they keep like 10% or something).

    2. so has anyone else received his/her Narvy yet? I am hoping for a shipping notice from the post office today, but I am too optimistic.

    3. Alright, even though I really really shouldn't have (since I'm trying to save for school in September), I went ahead and picked up Valentine sleeping. I can't not pick up her body at this price, since I've already been regretting not getting a girl since I got my boy. Now for the wait.

    4. Got Narvi's shipping notice last day ^_^ can't wait to have her!

    5. Does Aria Doll offer layaway?

    6. I paid for my Narvy 7 april, are there any Narvi's send out from that date already? *is impatient* XD

    7. At least one for sure. Unfortunately, not mine XD

    8. Mine, according to the order status she's already in the Polish Customs Office, I hope to get her on Monday or Tuesday. *^v^*

    9. There are some Everpurple dolls in stock at Safrin doll. I just thought it would be nice to mention it here. They have to Iris blank heads for sale as well.

    10. Thanks darkangel, I appreciate it :)

    11. I got my girl today!! here is a link to the box opening :)

and some pictures as well :) I will post more once I have finished her face up :) Btw her high heeled legs are not double jointed. Only her normal ones.

    12. Beautiful legs I was thinking about not wanting them but they look stunning!

    13. I also did a comparison with Volks resin. I will post pics later. They have the same skin color, but Volks is a tone darker. However that would practically invisible with a nice face up.

I cannot wait to do the face up of my girl and some body blushing! I want to take as many pictures of her as possible when she is ready.

    14. darkangelxix, congratulations on your beautiful Narvy, she looks very delicate and stunning.

I have read a notice about some delays with productions: there are some problems with manifacturing, according to what's being written some Narvy dolls are below the average standard and they are casting them again.
I was one of the last to order, I *really really* hope that shipping for my Narvy won't be in June. I don't know if I will be at home during those days, so I should stay and wait for my package to come.

Anyway, this is their last announcement:

      Hi~!This is Ariadoll~!
We have to inform you of delaying of our delivery service.

We found problems with some our Narvy dolls and
we confirmed that these problems are made from the manufacturing materials.

We changed our manufacturing materials for fixing these problems
      so we solved these problems.

And we decided to discard all of our Narvy dolls were made of those defective materials.
It means scores of our Narvy dolls.
We have to prepare to make all of your orders(Narvy dolls) newly again so
our delivery service will be delayed than we told you before.
(Maybe it take 1~2 week and more.)

We're really sorry for the delayed delivery service.
Please understand us with your generous mind, it is for sending you impeccable dolls.

Please use our Q&A board, if you have problems or questions about us.

We'll always think our customers's position and
try to make better dolls as a ball jointed doll's company.
      Thank you.

Just a problem ! I have order for breast B and Heel foot parts and I receive breast D and Heel leg parts !
I send them a message, waiting for the answer.^^

    16. Her hands remind me of Unoss hands:D! Congrats with yer lovely dolly!

    17. She looks amazing! despite the fact that you wanted the b cup and heel parts. Given the announcement they just made on their site, they may be having some serious problems and that might cause this mix up.

    18. Got my narvi today too. She's stuning. I will take comparisons pics with my others dolls....

    19. can't wait to see her! Pleasepost pictures when you can :)

    20. I don't mean to be a wet blanket on the waiting party, but I saw this notice - thanks, Nanael - and thought I should caution everyone who is waiting. Here is some history:

On 3/27/10, this was posted on the Everpurple notices:

      Notice about sold out...
      Dear everyone~!

Hi!We have some problems about license with our manufacturer so we can't sell our dolls and prodcuts for a while.
We'll restart to sell our dolls and products after we solve our problems so don't worry about that.

We're trying to solve them as soon as possible so please wait some more time until we restart to sell our dolls and products on our website.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

      Everpurple,
On 3/29/10, this was on their newsboard:

      Notice about stopping selling dolls...
      Dear everyone~!

Hi! Sorry but all of Everpurple dolls are stopped selling because of being over our collaboration with manufacturer.
We'll release new dolls with a new manufacturer as soon as possible so don't worry about that.

We'll notice about selling our dolls eyes after we finish our work about dolls eyes on process.

Please access on our website- www.everpurple.com on the internet.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

      Everpurple,
We've discussed the fact that Aria apparently is the same company on a new website. The contact for the administrator on Aria is the same last name as the Paypal address for Everpurple. Now we have "scores" of new orders needing to be remolded. I see many of you ordered towards the end of the first week in April. There seem to be many waiting and few in receipt of their dolls from Aria. Please consider filing a dispute with Paypal if you do not have a shipping notice by the time 60 days have elapsed since your purchase date. If you used a debit or charge card, you have additional protection but call your bank/credit card company to make sure of your deadlines.

I am crossing my fingers that this warning is a total waste of time but I need to share my experience with you. Before I continue, I would buy from Safrin Doll in a heartbeat if I wanted one of these dolls. She has the earlier production with known resin quality and she has them in stock! I also know Safrin ships immediately ... I need to make it clear it is not the dolls but the factory I am discussing here.

As I posted earlier in this thread, I had ordered a Classic boy's body from Everpurple. There was absolutely NO communication. When I filled out my order, I asked when the body would be shipped (since their website said "shipping soon.") On my Paypal payment, I again asked when the doll would ship. Again, no response ... and no response on their Q&A board, and no response from very nice and polite email messages I sent and no shipment and time passed ... except for one response. They told me the body would ship in the next week. Then there was no more news, no tracking number, and no package. I realized I was almost at the 60 day limit for buyer protection from Paypal. Foolishly, I used an instant bank transfer via Paypal to pay for my order, so there was no recourse from my bank. I will NEVER EVER pay for another factory purchase via instant bank transfer.

And so, I filed a dispute with Paypal for an undelivered item. Two days passed with no reply. I noticed Everpurple had removed all of their contact information from their website and decided to escalate my dispute to a claim. Then, and only then, did I hear from Everpurple. They wanted me to cancel my dispute. They also claimed they had shipped my doll the day before - although they claimed they would not have a tracking number until the following week. I wrote them and said I had low confidence in them - that it was too late - and that the only action that would cause me to cancel my claim was a full refund. Silence. More time went by. Everpurple finally filed a tracking number for my package with Paypal. I tracked it here, did not accept it and sent it back. Paypal delayed action as they could also follow the tracking on USPS. Finally, today, I called Paypal. The package had been received back in Korea by Everpurple/Aria on 7 May. What did Everpurple have to say about it? Nothing. I gave the Paypal person the web address to track the package outside of the U.S. He saw the same thing I did - in red letters - package received (Korea.) He instantly issued me a refund and I, almost as quickly, transferred it from my Paypal account to my bank. Phew! And guess what I've heard from Everpurple? You would be correct if you guessed, "Nothing."

They are obviously having trouble. It is a shame because they make a lovely product. But one of you ordered a B chest and got a D chest, ordered heel feet and instead received heel legs. Now they have to remake all of their dolls because the materials they used were wrong. Before, it was because they had a problem with the license of their manufacturer. Then they stopped selling over a collaboration difficulty with the manufacturer. How did they send out a few Narvys (albeit with at least one order with the wrong body parts) and then discover the materials used for casting were all wrong? (???)

I hope each of you will post soon that your doll is on the way. but, if you are still waiting - with no meaningful communication directly from the company to you regarding your order, I would urge you to consider filing a dispute with Paypal before the 60 days elapse to protect your investment. Perhaps these are all just unfortunate coincidences and all will be well. I fervently wish it for each of you who are waiting. By filing a dispute, Paypal will contact them. They did respond after Paypal called them out. Please don't wait until too many days transpire and you end up with disappointment and no recourse.

My experience was terrible - but if I help just one of you by sharing this - then I will feel some good came out of it.
