But to mod or not to mod, to "wreck" or not to wreck as you put it. Wouldn't that be up to the individual owner to decide? You seem to be getting defensive at me when I was simply asking a question to the creator (of which you advised me to do in your reply) since I am an uninformed noob to this Hobby. I replied to her post, that is indeed directing my question to her, agree? Did I say she said the doll was on loan? No I asked. I prize myself in having a fair command of the English language and at no time did I accuse her of anything. The key word in this obvious debate is "I questioned the legality of ownership" since I only have one doll (hence my name) and need to be made aware of the stipulations when purchasing an "artist doll". There is no need to take offence, especially when my questions were directed to the creator of the sculpt as you mentioned in your reply. Now, maybe you should direct your reply to my obvious question. Do you or do you not have the right to mod or "wreck" your own property even if it is an "Artist Created Sculpt" without ramifications? The owner obviously was having trouble with his purchase and wanted to find a way to rectify the issue he was having. Does this make Her/Him eligible for legal reprimand for doing so? And if so why? Her post said "Please, don't encourage people to make a mod that doesn't really help or improbe the doll in any aspect." (I'm sure she meant improve) His modding his doll DID indeed help the issue he was having and in no way "wrecked" the doll in question. Even if it did, it's his doll. Please don't insert accusations where there are none. This is not a debate, it is a new, uninformed user asking a simply question of the creator of the sculpt in question. If the dolls I purchase by an artist is not mine to do as I see fit, then I will probably not be making an "Artist Creation Doll" purchases any time soon.
If Flonne, the creator and artist behind the Nena 02 body doesn't RECOMMEND the mod then that's good enough for me. After all who knows the construction and anatomy of that doll better than its maker ?
I think in a way I am responsible for all of this modification debate here because I was the first to wrote my thoughts about doing it. I want to apologize my question and the picture I posted. I contacted the artist herself and - as she also wrote above - she did not recommend to do the mod on the legs and I should have corrected my writing about it immediately here, but I honestly forgot to do that. I have now edited my original post and removed all the things about the mod so that no-one would rush into ruin their dolls. My intention was not to encourage anyone and it was more like a question if someone did already tried that. I myself didn`t do the mod and not going to even if it did work, because I probably wouldn´t have the guts to do it anyways. I highly respect the AM artist herself and her dolls, and it makes me feel so bad if I have caused problems to any of you.
Thanks for the pics! As I said the doll poses fine by itself without mod. Of course if anyone want to experiment doing mods it's their choice ~ Thanks for your words! People can modify their own dolls, I think this it obvious! Oh no worries, remember you pming me and we having a nice chat about the side effects of doing the mod! I know she doesn't sit 90c but was something that didn't bothered me cause wanted a lovely curvy shape. Already fixed this in my next doll, but Nena02 will remain as it is. ------ As i said several times, and other owners already proved it with pictures, the doll can make those poses without any modifications. It is so easy to misread my words and use this in a ugly way... Please, if you feel like modifying feel free! This hobby is to have fun and experiment! And of course keep sharing pics! Oh lovely! I was about to ask for the eyes too! ☺️
flonne I absolutely agree- after all that's the nature of these dolls, to mod and adapt as each desires.
@Lino4ka @Flonne Thanks! She's currently wearing some oscar eyes that came from one of the more recent FL Mnf releases. Can't quite remember which one though.
I haven't tried any Bunny Nine tops yet but I did recently try an Iplehouse KID outfit on mine. Its loose in an adorable way. I'll have to take a pic later tonight.
The shirt fits loosely, but its super cute that way. The skirt is a bit bulky and doesn't like to stay on the hips, but I still like it.
My Reira just came home yesterday from AngelToast with her new faceup, thought I'd share here SO in love with her!! I'm still trying to figure out the right name for her.
Hi all, I have utterly fallen in love with Nena❤️ such an adorable doll! I understand size on clothes can be a challenge, something I am not unfamiliar with having owned a Minoruworld Junior. I am actually looking forward to uncover my sewing machine from all the layers of dust;-) But do anyone have a comparison picture of Nena with MNF? And perhaps MW Junior if I am super lucky?
Hi all, Sorry for the doble-posting, this thread is a little quiet. I just looked through the atelier Momoni site, and from what I can see it looks like Nena 02 Reira is an in-stock girl? Is this right? I originally thought she was only a pre-order doll?
