1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Azone Neemo Pure.

Feb 7, 2016

    1. Hey guys!

I am sure that you have heard about the Azone company and their dolls, I have recently been in a conversation with my sister about that company but the Azone neemo Pure Line the dolls which are 18 Cm tall. Where we ended up buying one of them each hehe.

Anyway , we ended up talking about this Website and if the Azone Neemo Pure is seen as a BJD and if they are permitted to be shown here in Photo Stories or in General. I am asking because none of us know and I when I did search for the word Azone here , it only showed me people who spoke about Azone clothes and if they fit any dolls of the tallness of around 22 cm and a bit taller.

It's just I am thinking of making a photo story that is continuous and that all of my recent dolls, and upcoming in future time being, will be shown in it as a one big story and I wouldn't want to break any rules or anything like that. If you have any information about this please do tell me and if you know exactly what type of dolls are not permitted here i'd be very happy to know, I am sure there is a list here somewhere I just can't seem to have the required skill in my self to find it. lol.

Thank you very much for your time!!

    2. I think they are off limit as they are not made of resin.
      Same as the obitsu dolls.

    3. Not not being resin doesn't mean a doll is not a ball jointed doll, that seems to be a very sad common misconception amongst some people online. For example, Hujoo dolls are made of ABS plastic and they are definitely ball jointed (still off-topic for this forum, though).

Azone Pure Neemos are not considered to be ball jointed dolls because they use a peg and hinge system, rather than an elastic tension system. So the joints are on a ball and socket system that are connected with elastic or some other tension material. They're still really awesome dolls, though. If you have other resin dolls, you can still put them in a photostory here, as long as the focus is on the resin doll. I'm planning on using off-topic dolls as side characters for a photostory one day. ^^

Here's the link for how to decide whether a doll is on-topic or not: LINK
I's just criteria for what is "on-topic", not what a BJD is. It's just DOA's way of trying to keep the forum organized with clear rules. You win some, you lose some.

    4. Azone dolls are cute, definitely. Ever since I've started learning more about BJD and whatnot, dolls in general, I really wanted to own one since various sites suggested Azones and Obitsus being the cheaper option to Dollfie Dreams. After awhile now my interest is still more to BJDs because of their wide range of sculpts/posability/size/wigs/clothings/etc and is somewhat a more common hobby / easy to find people with the same interest as me.

I believe I read somewhere that what considered a standard BJD is either they're:
      1. ball-jointed. obviously lol (which is why DD is permitted here I suppose)
      2. made of resin.

    5. Azone does make a lot of really cute and nice dolls, however they are not on topic on DoA as this forum is for resin ball joint dolls.
You have received some really good information, including a link to the on-topic criteria already, so this thread is being closed.
If you have any other questions, please post in the Ask the Moderators subforum.
