1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

B&G (BoyAndGirl) Dolls -The Old World

Aug 17, 2010

    1. Does anyone know if this company's dolls have been recasted? I see that there are quite a few of them up on ebay but all of them are coming from China, so I am worried that they're not the original dolls.:nowords:

    2. The company itself is from China, so that isn't surprising.
      Look for Jeeryama on ebay (store is Doll'sSinging)- he is a legit dealer for many Chinese companies including B&G, and has a long history of great reviews.

    3. @Serraphym Thank you for your reply! That is the seller I came across so thank you so much for telling me they're a legit dealer!:hug:

    4. I just discovered these dolls through Alice's Collections. I know they're still being offered on AC but The Old World site is gone. Anyone know if these dolls are actually still being made?

    5. @TokyoLynn I ordered Syllenseriin from Clover Singing, who I believe is jeeryama on ebay. All of their listings are currently down but I know I saw all 3 of the elf dolls on there, just Syllenseriin still has a full set you can order. I placed my order in early March so I probably won't get my boy until next month at the earliest.

    6. Having just received my doll today, DO NOT ORDER from Clover Singing.
      My doll came broken, without a bathrobe, without any cards or accessories, with damaged clothes, in a damaged box, with a faceup that is not what I asked for or paid for. AND the doll's box was put into the shipping box upside down.

      So if you do order any of these dolls, go with Alice's Collections. If you have ordered from Clover Singing, tell them you have changed your mind and demand a refund. I cannot recommend them despite their friendly customer service and discounts because how they actually shipped my doll is ridiculous (and yes they shipped it because they had to open the doll box to put in my free doll wig that was part of their promotion).

    7. @jessholy- Yikes I'm so sorry your doll came in that condition. ;_;

    8. It's really the first time I have ever received anything broken in the mail. Of course I contacted Clover Singing right away and they have been very eager to fix the situation (refunding the cost of the faceup, getting BG to send me a new set of hands, offering to send me a bathrobe and new eyes, getting me a slight refund for damaged clothes) but I still think a lot of these problems could have been avoided if they did a quality check at BG AND at their own company.

      So I really can't recommend either Boy and Girl or this seller. I might not own that many dolls and I know even the best companies send dirty dolls or they get broken in transit but the ones I have ordered directly from other companies have had no issues. If you truly wish to buy any of these dolls, try to buy them through a second hand market like here so you KNOW you're getting the doll you want and in good condition.
