1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Bambi crony's quality control

Jun 7, 2007

    1. totaly agree

as I said I already wrote, it´s their call now... so better have them like you...and see what happens

    2. That's awful! Jeez, you'd think for that much money they'd do a little better job.

    3. Oh...it's a serious problem.= =

    4. I got a reply, they said they want to send me another body I am now concerned about the possible colour variations

I´ll post the message in the tiniy section thread^^

    5. D: my Bambicrony Kumi does the same thing! her left leg (her left, our right) is practically useless because it's so kicky and doesn't lock, either. :\

    6. oh wow, sorry to hear that,

my body , despite the damages did not have any serious leg problems. I don´t think I´ve seen any LSGs that did but then again I could be wrong

    7. Oh! That's great news! I hope the color matches and that the new body has no problems--At least there is a chance of things improving! (I wonder if they had a spare LSG body lying about??? Or did they cast another??? Hmmm!)

    8. they told me there was no need to send the body onr the head, they appear to have leftovers from our batch to compare

Iposted the whole messages on the other thread^^

    9. I've thought several times that my light slate gray Pepe elf's leg was just slightly longer than the other, but until now I thought maybe I was just imagining it. I guess not. lol That same leg seems to pop out of its knee joint, too.

It's slightly annoying, but I figure that as long as the resin doesn't start to crack around the joint or something, it's not worth making a big fuss over. I'm willing to deal with it. The length isn't that noticable, and I'm just very careful when I pose her. She stands just fine on her own, longer leg or not. She stands a lot better than my other dolls do, and their legs are fine. lol

    10. Has there been any new word on Bambicrony's shaping up or are they still lacking the customer service?

    11. Well, I just ordered a Cookie a few days ago. They've responded to all of my questions very promptly, and even promised to send her out on monday since I'll be away from home at the end of next week. So it's all good on the communication side. When she does arrive I'll post about her physical condition. *crosses fingers* Let's hope they've done something about their terrible quality control. :sweat

    12. Just wondering if anyone has gotten any recent orders and how they were as far as quality?

    13. I just got my dolls from the pair event, a kumi and a pepe and they are in wonderful condition. They dont have the wierd powdery hands, and I dont really see the problem with the length of the leg. If you push the knee back it can go out of socket but honestly i dont really understand why that bothers so many people since the leg can easily be pushed back and will stay in socket. I was very frightened after all the horror stories but at this point I'm more than pleased with the quality of these dolls...I just feel bad for the unlucky ones with the powdery resin.

    14. I'm so sorry that this happened to you. :( I hope that they coughed up a partial refund for all of the trouble they put you through. *makes mental note not to order dolls from them.* :sweat

    15. [IMG]

I took this for the people in this thread the other day when I was out taking pictures. Yet another Kumi with wonky hands. His left is a default. His right is one of his spares.

One leg is also longer than the other.

    16. If they have the leg thing, it's actually pretty obvious, but only if you have both legs straight down (with the bottoms in the sockets). I was fondling some Bambicronys at the last meetup I went to, and there was an older one there that was fine, and a newer one with uneven legs. But I did still fell in love with them regardless so eventually I will be buying one, even if it may have uneven legs. However messy hands I would pitch a fit over.

    17. *nods in agreement* Honestly the leg difference really isnt that much. I can twist the doll to make the leg length difference look more than it is, but I can twist the legs to make them exactly the same length too...so for the purpose of picture taking if I was convinced it was a HUGE difference I could make it so. But my kid has no trouble standing and if I sit him perfectly upright his legs are pretty much the same length. And he's a brand new kumi *listed as one of the problem dolls*

Pictures saying the arm doesnt extend properly are a little off. If the lower arm is in the socket backwards it gets into that position and seems like it doesnt fit properly. If you just turn it in the socket it will fit and extend. And the same thing with the knee issue. People complaining that the knee comes out of socket, unless your doll is strung too tight or too loose, there shouldnt be any problems keeping the leg in socket. It will push out if you push too hard but its easy to just slip back into place. I've been experimenting with my doll to see how all these problems might have occurred...finding most of them arent as major as people are letting on. I think....once they saw the bad hands (which is a rightful complaint and leads to terrible experiences) owners started getting hypercritical of the bambicrony dolls and started thinking really small things were huge issues.

      um the end? *skitters off*

    18. Well, if any one was curious about recent quality, I received my snow skin Cookie today and there is nothing wrong with her at all. Her hands, including the extra pair, are perfect. She has the slight leg problem but it isn't nearly as noticeable as some other bambies I've seen. In fact, the only way it really pops out of place is if you push on it fairly hard. I think they are beginning to improve. Lets hope for the best. :)

    19. I got my Gun a week or two ago and one of his hands is a little messy-- but not really as bad as what I've seen. He also has the leg problem, and one leg is longer than the other. It's kind of hard to get him to stand, but I still love him nevertheless. :)

    20. So generally the quality of the hands and such has gone back up? I'd just like to confirm that they are improving.
