1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Beautifull BJDs Why are they imposible to get and why doesn’ t any company make such

Aug 12, 2010

    1. Agreed! There is a touch of something negative in that title, as though those in the pics are the only 'beautiful bjd's'.

    2. I collect all sorts of dolls (that appeal to me) and tend to prefer children to adults
I can understand what you see in these dolls (I don't 'do' porcelain though) but the way to buy any dolls is to buy what grabs and 'speaks' to you regardless of what others think.

I didn't think I would like bjds until a few weeks ago (all I had seen until then were anime type dolls and the adult dolls or dolls with overly large eyes - I like more realism) but then I saw Narsha (dollmore) and also the Dollstown dolls which are now on their way - and I am saving up for so many more!
Beautiful bjds to suit your taste are out there. But what one person likes will not be the same as what the next person likes. And that doesn't matter!

    3. I think there are tons of beautiful dolls out there from different companies, and not all of them are out of reach (limited, out of production, or just plain expensive). The doll you've posted isn't very beautiful to me. I don't like the chubby quality it has. I think that if you search around enough, eventually you will discover that there are many, many beautiful dolls out there.

(I also think this thread's title seems to come off more negatively than it intends to. I don't think the OP is trying to suggest that those little cherubs she's posted are the only beautiful dolls out there. That's the difficulty with online communication!! :P)

    4. No offense, but i've never been quite so instantly repulsed by a Ball Jointed Doll as I was when I saw the ones you posted. To me, they look way too much like Porcelain Dolls. And quite frankly all but two of those freak me out for no reason I can name. Honestly, I like the peanut joints and all of that.
