1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Cost and shipping would be so prohibitive..... << But otherwise i think it'd be cool at the very least to get an awesome looking doll to stand just inside the door and creep people out when they first come in... ^^;

    2. Not Only 1/2 Size, I Actually Want To Create A Life Size Doll. Never Had Dolls Growing Up, Can't Seem To Get Enough Now. Shame On Mummy!

    3. I find it hard to keep 1/3s around, I'd not get a 1/2, I prefer smaller ^^

    4. I know that 1/1 dolls exist (no, I'm not talking about THAT kind) of various anime characters and such. It's an interesting idea, but how would you move it around? First of all, it would have to be shipped in a crate or something similarly large, like whatever they do for fine furniture or those huge vases for museums (or mummies :lol: ). And for personal transportation? A body bag or garbage bag? You'd quickly be promoted from the local weirdo to the local psycho. :o

      1/2 scale would have similar problems... maybe even worse with the neighbors since 1/2 scale is child-size...

    5. 80cm is exactly 1/2 sized to me. XD

      I might get one someday (the idea amuses me), but for now the largest I plan to go is 70cm.

    6. god no. I'd be too freaked out!
      I think the 60cm is just perfect. :)

    7. I would buy it, I'd have to buy a stroller though because that guy would be really heavy. XD

    8. No, I think a 1/2 scale doll would be really creepy. D: My aunt made a really realistic doll replica of her grandson... it freaked me out. *_*

      Dolls should stay doll-sized. x_x

    9. :fangirl: If I had the money then I'd buy one! It'd rock to have such a big doll (:aheartbea big dolls!) Although it'd be murder to carry around and cost LOADS to buy it'd be AWESOME to have such a big doll. Somehow 70cm just doesn't seem big enough to me :( ........

      Sophie.

    10. :sweat

      To me, 1/2 size isn't a doll, it's an effigy! Do not want.

      Also, I think there might be some technical difficulties with stringing/posing as the weight would make it harder to pose...

    11. Definitely no. To start off maintaining it would be a nightmare, not to mention the weight of the thing. Also, I prefer dolls to be something I can carry around freely without having to look like a kidnapper of a 5 year old kid. :lol:

    12. I think I'd pass on one of those >.>
      60-70cm dolls would be the biggest I ever went. Between price (think of the shipping charges! @__@), space to keep them, how to get them around and generally a doll the size of a kid would freak me out a bit.
      I'm fairly happy with 'doll'-sized dolls XD

    13. It could be great to have a 1:2 doll if I like her/him but I probably couldn't afford this and I don't have room for a so big doll. :|

    14. Probably not. I like to be able to carry my dolls around. :)

    15. Mmmm...I might. I LOVE big dolls...but then again, I'm not too short >< I'm the shortest in my family--meaning 5'9" or so--and thats including my 11yr old sister. She's 6'1" at least. ANYWAY!...I have a Hound right now...and he's big and all, but I love my long limbed boy. I don't find him a nusence at all ^^ Only thing I'd have any issue would be carrying 1/2 sized dolls around...my Hound hurts my evil, pathetic wrists sometimes...so it'd be hard for me. I'd probably try though!!! ;-;

    16. I don't think I'd BUY a doll that size, but I wouldn't be adverse to MAKING one. It probably wouldn't be played with very often though, and would be more like an art piece, which would make me sad since I think dolls are meant to be played with, so...maybe not. I saw a pretty large BJD in a korean music video though, and I really liked it, so maybe yes....

      Ah, to tell the truth, I really have no idea. It would depend on a lot of curcumstances.

    17. I don't think I'd be creeped out. Just that they'd be SO much harder to carry around and change clothes/wash, etc. Part of the appeal of BJDs to me are that they're a size that's comfortable enough to customise, carry around and play with. =)

    18. I wouldn't want one that big. It would be too heavy and awkward to carry around, and I would have no place to keep it. Clothes would be more expensive to make too, since I would need much bigger remnants, and I couldn't use as nice of fabric.

    19. life size dolls freak me out... however most alot of them are sex related so maybe thats why... e_e;

    20. I agree!! I also would love to have a big scale doll. With a doll that size I could use it to draw or sculpt poses instead of having to hire a real model to sit in a spot for a few hours. Plus it would be like my other dolls; changing it's wigs, styling the hair, and making the clothes.
      It would be great on halloween (((mind wonders:mwahaha ))) I can scare people, make the eyes pop out, sit it in my window with flashing strobe lights and blinking red eyes..the list goes on. I would go for this!!!:lol:
