1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I hadn't thought of it but I'd never say never! : )

I have considered Jan McLean dolls like Desire and Xanthe and I guess they'd be about half scale?? They were so gorgeous. I haven't got one but was seriously tempted.

    2. Nooo. I get creeped out enough over "my size" Barbies and other such large-scale dolls. Add the realism of BJDs and I don't think I'd be able to sleep at night if I knew there was one in the house with me. *_*

    3. I think MSD is the largest I can consider. Even SD is too big for me.

    4. No, I think that is too big. i wouldn't know where to keep dolls of such size in my room...

    5. 70cm dolls are 1/2 my size. ._. 90cm would be too big for me to carry.

    6. All I can keep thinking is three words: childrens clothing dept! XD

I would really like having a Sabik though-- and those are half my height.

    7. No, I definitely woudn't like to have a 1/2 scale doll, it would freak me out. Even 60cm dolls/the SD sized sound big to me and too much to handle. I'd like to keep it at around 40 or 50cm. But I still haven't gotten any BJDs yet so I don't know how I will like the height (my first one will be an MSD).

But a doll that is over 70cm is way too much, it would be difficult to carry around and obviously pose, photograph etc. ^^ Plus, a doll that size would lose its cuteness. :XD:

    8. Probally not. I carry my dolls around alot (convenntions, school, wallmart) and it would be probally to heavy for me to carry.

    9. If they were under $1,000 I might be interested. XD

    10. I would love a 1/2 scale doll, but my partner (who finds 1/3 scale unnerving) would run a mile!!

    11. Money would be the issue for me and carrying it around :)

    12. yes, IF i could afford it. i would loe to hae a doll big enough to really bring out the creative detail in the clothing i like to design. even on the bigger girls, most decorations (like beads, and charms) seem just a tad out of scale. but with a doll that size, you could make all kinds of clothing for her that wouldn't fit quite to scale with smaller girls. and trael size isn't a problem because i'm usually too paranoid to take my dolls very far from home anyway ^^

    13. No, I'd never buy one...they scare me a little, to be honest. XD; My mom has one that she's had since she was a child (think "My Size Barbie", only a different brand and it's from the 50's)...it sits on our couch in the living room upstairs and it seriously creeps me out to no end. XDD So...no. No uber-dolls for me, thanks. ^^;

    14. Hmmm, after reading some of these posts, I realized I voted wrong. I said no I wouldn't buy a 1/2 scale doll. Actually, I already have a 1/2 scale doll...:doh Sabik doll from Soom! He's fricking huge! In fact, I'm having trouble bonding with him cuz he's so big. He's all arms and legs! He's a bit heavy too, feel weird carrying him around the house.:ablink: Anyways, subtract one from the no vote and add to the yes one.

    15. Never, they'd scare the pants off me and anyone who saw it and seem impractical.

    16. A doll that size would require a tremendous amount of detail in the faceup to give the same sense of realism or fantasy. Without that, you would have bland faced store mannequin, without personality. I'll pass.

    17. Uh, probably not. 60cm is the largest for me.
A doll that big might be difficult to find the space to display nicely in my house.

    18. I have problems with space for the SD13 and SD16 doys and I know I have no room for that size of doll. Not to mention how much the clothing, wigs, shoes etc. would cost as these items seem to go up in price as the doll goes up in size!

    19. No. Besides the obvious problems with space and storage, I agree with a lot of other posters here that it would be just kind of creepy.

I think the size they are right now is pretty much perfect. :)

    20. Probably not. The thing would weigh a ton!
