1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I voted no as I have a bad back and to pose or lift this guy to dress would be hard on it. Not to mention I bet this would be so expensive. MK

    2. I *might* Buy one but that's it.

    3. Man, if I could afford it, definitely. If I had the supplies, time and life left in me, I'd be working on a life sized bjd of my character Kristos. Which would be 7'7"! lol I'd need a wheelchair to get him around the house!

    4. Okay, some of these posts is giving me devious ideas for when my Sabik comes in...! Hopefully my husband will still be offshore, so I can set him up to look like he froze reaching for something, caught in the act when my husband comes in and sees him! XD Or maybe put him in his computer chair, reaching for the keyboard.

    5. Yes, I would buy one, for sure, if I liked it! I started with 60 cm dolls but once I got a hound, I don't want to buy 60 cm tall ones any more, they seem "too short" for me. I think I would like a 1/2 or even a bigger doll even more.

    6. I'm only about 5 foot something so a 1/2 doll ain't that far from a 70cm bjd . My guess is....no, cos he'll be too big to fit in my arms, the cost would be astronomical and it would most probably walk on its own. lol.

    7. I think it would be neat, but then, I'd have to buckle them in a seat belt if I watned to take them anywhere xD Like others have said, if it's about $500 for a mini/small sd, then just think how much money it would be for a 1/2 scale! And producing it would be a pain, too... I voted possibly, but... still... :/ Probably, not.

    8. I think 60cm is the perfect size for me. Bigger ones would be too expensive and too heavy to carry.
Even so, I'd like to see one XDD:)

    9. No way! XD

I mean, they would be way too expensive. And even if they wouldn't be expensive I still would not buy one. It would just be... too big, I don't know, just thinking about it creeps me out a bit, I have no idea why XD

    10. I don't think I will go for that.
That's a bit too heavy for me.

I am more interested in smaller dolls.

    11. I can see the creep factor involved here, but I'd proably really enjoy owning a super big doll like a 1/2. I really love my 1/3.

    12. Far too massive for me. I dislike dealing with SD sized, but sadly a lot of the faces I love only come in SD. I far prefer handling and dealing with mini sized.

    13. 1/2 scale....that's just freaky. Not to mention there's a certain charm about being able to carry your dolls around (not that my boy will be easy to carry, standing at 65cm). But 1/2 scale is just starting to hit a little to close to the reality mark for me.

    14. People. Dolls. People. Doll. When the two fuse together it just gets creepy XD. I'll just wait until I have my own kids, and stick with the MSDs for now XP

    15. I've actually been thinking about this for a while. The newest dolls, 70cm and up, seem really huge to me, but they're still 108cm shorter than me. But if there were one that's half my size? It'd be the size of a 5 year old kid or so, and that's just too creepy in my opinion. :o So, most likely I wouldn't touch them. Or think about buying them. Just.. too weird.

    16. I would think it would be too heavy to really do much with...I know the 90cm boys at AoD are over 12 pounds which isn't THAT heavy but would still be awkward to move I would think.....I am happy with my SD and MSD but I wouldn't want much bigger...I also have to agree with some other responses that big it would kinda be getting into my uncanny zone

    17. Probably not. I'm a small person and my SD boy is already a bit of a handful, haha. A 1/2 scale doll would probably be too big and heavy for me. The biggest I'll ever go is probably 70cm.

And I agree about it getting into the uncanny zone. A doll the size of a small child would bother me a bit. I mean, 90cm comes up to my hip! So no big dollies for me.

    18. Nope. I even feel 1/3 dolls are too large for me, so I stick with 1/4 and smaller. :)

    19. I'd love a 1/2 scale doll. (my friends think I'm nuts) I just love big boys

    20. Angel of Dream actually MAKES a 1/2 size doll.

Right there. I really want one, because the height is good for a supremely tall character I have permission from a friend to make. She is afraid of BJDs, but I got permission to make her boy into a doll. And since the character is outside the average human height, I went hunting for an out of average height doll. ^-^

      My friend found these boys and I'm dying for one already. Really. He'll be huge, but I don't care. I'll do it anyhow. Eventually. They ARE expensive, I'm going to be saving quite a while for it. -_-;;;
