1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. My 65cm boy is almost too much for me as it is, I definitely wouldn't want to go any bigger. I've actually been finding myself more attracted to the smaller dolls lately, even getting my first MSD sized doll, if only because I find them easier to photograph and they take up less space. I also just don't know how I'd feel about having a giant doll hanging around the house.

    2. Nooo... not really. I already think that 70cm is HUGE. :sweat I have no idea what I would do with a BJD that was half my size, let alone where I would keep it - I think I would be constantly mistaking it for an actual child! I'll stick to 60-63cm for now, thankyouverymuch. :)

    3. Considering the fact I'm the sort of person who considered buying a Real Doll just cuz "Zomg it's people sized! Sculpting in joints shouldn't be too hard!", I would most definitely buy a 1/2 scale. ^^ The bigger the better, as far as I'm concerned!

    4. I like MSDs and tinies better. I love my 3 SDs but I still find them a little too big for me, the biggest one is 62cm and I don't think I would like to have a doll bigger than that~~

    5. I find a run of the mill 60CM SD to be too large, and I think uncanny valley would hit for some people around me way too hard for said doll, so no, absolutely not. I wouldn't buy one, even if the price is good. Just not my style.

    6. I won't say "no" but I will say probably not. Actually, there's a <.001% chance that I would.

I don't think I could handle such a large doll... and it would creep my husband out. :XD:

    7. I'm not sure, one of the main things I find appealing in dolls is they they are small and poseable, and you can carry them. But on the other hand, there is a character I'd really like to make a doll-form of, and I think a really large-scale doll would be best.

    8. I think 70cm is as big as I can go. My Kyle Reese is pretty awkward and clumsy to handle due to his big size and my small size... and I tried carrying him around in my arm outside of a bag - I couldn't do it! He was too heavy! @_@
I was seriously considering a Soom Saiph, however she is just too too big... I wouldn't be able to hold her or anything. Shame, too, since she's so pretty...

    9. If I liked the proportions and face, I'd be tempted... never say never

    10. I totally would...but I'm weird. I want one of the human sized artist bjd's, so to have a half scale would be good too.

I'd set them up in my house to scare my guests. <3

    11. It would be too big for me, never mind what the cost for something like that might be! I think it would probably scare even myself late at night. My brother had a paper mache figure that was about the size you describe, it was in the basement. It freaked me out every time I went down there because in the dark it really did look like a person! My other issue, and it's probably my own - so far the only BJDs I have are tinies, and although I have hopes to buy a SD at some point, I am almost afraid that is too big! lol

    12. Not gonna lie: i'd pick one up in a shot. (well, i don't know about the picking up part..) If it had jointed hands, so much the better.

The only trouble would be that i would want it to have a pretty substantial body; the one 90cm that was available didn't gel with me because it was simply elongated, not so much bulked out to match. If i'm going to have something that large around, the hug factor is important. :sweat

    13. It matters over all what they looked like. BUT! If I liked them, I would go for it. I would be willing to get a doll of 1/2 proportions. I'd just have to make sure I like them first! :3

    14. I saw a 90cm Angel of Dream doll at one of the dealer booths at Otakon and it seemed a bit odd, like the arms and legs were too long compared to the rest of the doll. I think that happens with a lot of the larger dolls though; with the slender builds, the taller they get the ganglier they become...

Now a 90cm real skin Akando might be a different story

    15. I'm a person who has 100% fallin in love with HUGE dolls ^_^ i'm hoping to get a Lusion from Dollmore, though i will probably not make her my first doll as originally planned ((me no have that kinda moolah)) and i recently saw the 90 cm boy doll ((can't remember the name of him for the life of me!)) and now that this is all comming together in my head, a Lusion and the 90cm from Angel of Dream ((hope that was the right name)) would just look ADORABLE together *SQUEE* :fangirl::aheartbea:D ((addictive smiley moment again))

and also for me these dolls will let my "mothering" side show through. I'm a mother type and just have the overwhelming urge to get these dolls and make them my children. And since the larger ones are "toddler sized" basically my "mothering" side is just going haywire over them ^_^ so i can't wait to get them! ((it will prolly take me a good soild year to save up for them though *_*))

    16. I'd want one if they were proportional, not just a stretched-out-of-proportion version of of SD size. Dolls like Hound look that way to me, making them taller would make the effect worse. A lot of BJD's are disproportionalte long-legged anyway (that whole anime.manga thing), the bigger they get the more obvious it seems to look, to me, and it's not what attracts me to these dolls.

Probably, for me, a child doll on that scale would be better.

    17. Probably not... I'm not a big fan of Dollmore's Dahlia, she is more like a baby doll that just happens to have joints and the likes. or the 90cm dolls. I like the Soom Mecha angels heads, but not heir bodies too much, they do look too long and look out of proportionate. So both ways that the big dolls are going I'm just not a fan of.

    18. I could buy one yes.. let's say one thing: if Iple House releases one.. I would be tempted :)

    19. It's a maybe. I've already got a 72cm, and I've seen an 80. a little bit more couldn't be too bad. I'd just expect a very nice, tight joint system, so he's not floppy legged like my biggest boy.

    20. I'd say yes. really. the bigger the better ;D
As an artist it's much easier to add detail to bigger drawings.
Not to mention i'm NOT a kind of person that can do things subtly.. or carefully.. or handle fragile things.... for that matter.
So I like big dolls cause they are much more to hug. ;D
