It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. No, I like larger dolls, I have a 70cm and will get an 80cm at some point. But being a 150cm shortarse, a 90cm doll would be almost up to my waist, which is way too big. Any doll that has more than an inch or two over the lengh of my legs is too big.
      One reason I go for the larger ones is partly the weight, but I would hate to attempt to pick one that size up.

      Plus this:

    2. 1/2 is really too big for me.
      While I think I could maybe go with 70, higher then that would just be too expensive, space invading and I would just not know what to do with it O______o

      And how the heck do you hide that kind of purchase?? xD
      And carrying it around ?

      I do not feel like having a half human doll in my room! Now THAT would be scary and I would totally understand the "Its going to kill you in your sleep" thing xD

    3. Noo.. way to big.. and to heavy to drag around..

    4. I don't think so. I have a 80 cm Dollmore Lusion and wired and sueded she is sitll a heavy slightly floppy two armful. I'd love to see some 1/2 scale dolls. If I had more room in my house I might buy one way down the road.

    5. I wouldn't simply because it would be so difficult to do anything with a doll of that size. Changing clothes, working with the larder wigs, etc... just a little to inconvenient for me. :sweat

    6. Too big size for me and difficult to find a place to keep her or him.

    7. If money wasn't a problem I would buy them if I would like their aesthetics. I'm actually making one myself atm that is even bigger then 1/2 scale, she will be 122 cm big.

    8. No way; a doll that tall is just too creepy for me. O_O I'd keep it in a box at the bottom of the closet or put it into storage. And it would haunt my dreams. ._.

    9. hum... though I love big BJDs... but 1/2 would really be too big for me XD
      It's not the problem of buying these BJD clothes or shoes...
      consider I like to take my BJD out for some photos... 70cm BJD I'm having is already pretty heavy and inconvenient to carry around... :p (even though with a BJD carrier)
      I could imagine it would be a massive effort to bring a 1/2 for some photo shooting! D:

    10. I like the idea for the creepy/freaky factor, but beyond I think anything of that size stops being a doll and becomes more like a statue - the weight would make carrying it around or having a normal-type display spot (like a bookshelf or display cabinet) almost impossible. Not to mention the increased cost of creating/shipping/dressing it.

    11. I actually think I'd be too afraid to get a 1/2 scale doll, simply because of the size! Carrying around a 1/3 size doll is one thing, they fold up properly and whatnot, but anything bigger and trying to carry it around? I think my arms would break!

    12. I wouldn't get a 1/2 scale doll, because it would be less of a toy and more of a display item. I would be frustrated trying to pose or dress it. @_@ And getting a carrier or finding luggage to fit such a bit doll would not be fun to travel with~

    13. My size limit is 70cm- but even then I don't really plan on having an dolls larger than 65cm- I couldn't imagine a 90cm or larger doll OAO; I'm only a 162cm, so, like, and 80cm doll would be half my size... that's kind of scary, imo xD;;

      Also I'm partial to MSDs which might be another reason x3

    14. Had I the money to throw around, I'd get a 90cm to have sitting around in a chair to startle people when they're over. XD

    15. I think I won't buy one-half scale doll. Since I'm not rich to have a big house, it's hard to store for such big doll.
      Also, I don't think I can take care of it well too.

    16. Noooooooooooo. XD;;; That would just be embarrassing. And I'm pretty sure the mechanics would stop working. You know how beached whales get crushed by their own weight? The elastic wouldn't be able to hold it up. It wouldn't pose well at all, I think.

    17. If one existed and I like, won the lottery or something, I'd buy one to put in the living room or entry way of my house. Just to scare anyone who enters. I'd make it look really creepy and ghost-ish too. ;D

    18. I've had my eye on the Angel of Dream 1/2 scale models. ^_^ http://www.bjdcollectasy.com/angel-of-dream-aod/90-cm-doll.html

      I think it would be neat to use them as art models, and of course to paint the dolls themselves. So much detail could go in! And it would be good for practicing dollie tattoos or the sewing of clothes. However, I think I would prefer a female doll of this size, simply for aesthetic purposes.

      I think a more childlike doll of this size could be... disconcerting. Getting realistic proportions of a more childish body might cause some poseability problems. Though it could be a very interesting art project.

      I will say that any doll of this size better be shipped unstrung. ><;

    19. I don't think I would buy one. I have a 70cm on its way and I hope it will work out, since it really is big :p 1/2 dolls are practically out of the question. I want to be able to hold them (without flipping over or having my arm fall off, that is :p)

    20. I've seen the 80cm ones, and they look like a small child. Not very fond of a big doll that can move about. That would be so scary to wake up to in the middle of the night!
