1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. That sounds really creepy to me. I saw a full size BJD on deviant art and I very much did not like it, even though she was very well done.

    2. I don't think so ^^U,... it would scare me one of those nights and then it would be the end of it T^T,,,

    3. I probably wouldn't buy such a big doll. I really like the 1/4 and 1/3 dolls, but I don't think I could go any bigger than that. xD

    4. I would, but there's no way I'd have the room. Not only that, but I'm buying dolls that have stories that interact with each other. I'm trying to decide on dolls that are similar in size because of this, and a 1/2 scale doll just wouldn't fit anywhere. But it would be interesting, I won't lie.

    5. I'd buy if I liked [obviously!] but I'd be wary of the availability of clothing ect. to it's scale- I have a mecha guy and he's nigh impossible to get much past basic shirts/trousers for, so I can't imagen it being much better with something even bigger.

    6. If I had the money and I really liked the sculpt, I totally would buy it. ._. I tend to make most of my doll clothes so that won’t be too much of a problem and ยฝ scale is easier to sew for. It’d look super cute sitting on a small chair in a corner, and I have plenty of empty corners in my bedroom. :P

    7. I wouldn't be comfortable with a 1/2 size doll hangging around my room... plus its too heavy to carry around :|

my SSDF Regen's just perfect for me.. anything bigger would be kinda bleh :sweat

    8. If I had my own house, I would definitely consider getting one and making different installations for it. It would be awesome to have a little gallery centre-piece with evolving themes around it.

    9. I personally don't want any doll that's over 50CM. But that's probably because I'm on the short side and don't want a doll that's extremely huge. D:
I personally think carrying her around and just moving her would be a hassle... :I

    10. I'm waiting for my AOD Bo to get through the mail...so, yes, I would buy a 90 cm doll! Though I am wondering where he will be sitting. He's too big to keep on my desk.

    11. I like the idea of big big dolls, but I doubt I would ever get one because I don't know what I would do with it. I couldn't really take it out for photoshoots...although I guess you could put them in a seat belt ^_^ Haha!

    12. Princess Tomato: At least one person who has a 1/2 carries it in a baby stroller. I'm thinking about getting a stroller myself. Depends on if I have any problems carrying Bo when he gets here. I'm 5'10" so I don't find the prospect too intimidating though I do occasionally look down at my legs and think "gods, he's as tall as my hip". And the non-factory face ups I've seen make at least Bo look much better. I've seen a Hale, I think it was, with no face up and he was much better looking than the pictures on AOD.

    13. I would love to see some of these realy big dolls in real life. There are dolls which are about 90cm hight....my legs are only about 90cm high(i'm 1.59cm short ;_;) so thy but reach my hips. xD

But if they are out of resin...how heavy must they have to be?? I only own two 45cm Dolls, saving up for a 60cm doll and they are 'heavy'.

But I think 60 til 70 cm are the perfekt high for me. I would never buy a 90cm Doll ^^

(Until I see one in real life and want it too. xDD)

    14. I've looked at the big dolls but I haven't seen one I've fallen in love with at all. They're nice but not for me. Plus the hassle of moving them around for photoshoots etc can't be much fun.

    15. I was traumatized as a small child by a child-size walking doll (a Saucy Walker or something similar), and have a hard enough time acclimating to a 62 cm doll. A 70 cm will be another adjustment, though hopefully not with quite the same shock. :)

    16. As I also want to do more with them than just having them standing somewhere, I wonder how easy this size might be to carry around and to pose.

I think 70 cm is my personal limit. But isn't a Soom Mecha Angel with 80 cm not almost a 1/2 doll? These I consider already way too large.

Regarding clothes, I think that children clothes won't really fit, especially not on female doll. Males, perhaps.

    17. Curiosity is always the factor for me. I think I would love a 1/2 scale doll just because it would be easier to sew clothes. ^_^

    18. definitely,a NO for me -_-;...
70cm dolls are already my max limit OTL

    19. No way dude. 65cm is pretty much the most upper reach of my size limits. I refuse to have a doll that big, I feel like I might as well get a kid- a child would photograph better with my other dolls. It's just waaaaay too huge for me.

    20. That would be waaaay to big for me! Heck I still think standard SD sized dolls are too big for me. And where would you store a doll that big?
I can't even imagine owning a doll that big. *_*
