1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. I'm reading all the comments and i don't think i could get one because it's too big for me and i can't avoid my self thinking about EMS shipping cost :?

    2. Exactly how I feel about it. It would have to be a new grail or something for me to even consider it.

    3. I love MSD's and while I find some SD sculpts, ok a lot of SD sculpts, to be breath taking they are out of my size range. So owning a 1/2 scale doll? No. It would almost be taller then me! Truth be told I think it would be just a little creepy, and I hate using that word as it's one no one in the hobby likes but a doll that big is so far out of the ordinary. Not that out of the ordinary is a bad thing but that size, that size is just...well, huge! Clothes would be an issue, shipping cost would be an issue [it costs $55 to ship my 1/4 girl from IH, I don't want to know how much it would cost to ship a 1/2 BJD!], and I wouldn't be able to carry it around anywhere.

It's just an over all no for me.

    4. If they had the right look to them, and the price wasn't too horrible, I'd have no qualms about getting a 1/2 size doll. :) I've always loved the bigger dolls. I don't care if they creep some people out. They don't creep me out at all. Never have. Never will. ♥

    5. I would probably buy one, but a 1/2 scale doll is too big for my apartment. I haven't seen a doll like this in real life, but I think I would need to by a personal chair for it.

    6. I dont know why but i love big dolls I just got a dragon doll and i love his size 70cm! idk y but i love that he is big!

    7. At 5foot tall and 105lbs....I don't think so. I think they'd be pretty awesome , but I had enough trouble with my size barbie as a kid lol.

    8. It would completely depend on its face. I find that the bigger a doll gets the less.. put-together its face looks..? I don't know how to phrase that, sorry. I'd love the size! I'm a bit of a creep and I've always wanted a realistic sex doll, especially after seeing Lars and the Real Girl. It looks fun! Not sexually, but dressing it up and such. >_> Space would be an issue, though.

    9. I don't find them creepy but I barely have enough space in my house as it is so definitely no! I hate to think how heavy a doll that big would be too...Plus one word: shipping, ugh! *_*

    10. I love SD's, but I had a nightmare last night that I recieved a 4ft tall doll. Size puts it into my uncanny valley, far too human.

    11. I would definitely go for it the face/sculpt appealed to me (and if it were male). I'd love to have my Savlos (Iple Elchanan) in that size. He is so very human, even in 1/3 scale. But the shipping would probably be as much as, if not more than, the cost of the 1/2 scale doll. Box size as well as weight affects the shipping cost - and then there is insurance. Well, my wish ain't gonna happen so I am safe!

    12. It would completely depend on how it looks. Right now, no I don't think I would want a doll so big. But at the same time it's intriguing and if there was one with the right look and I had the money I'd probably go for it.

    13. Ignoring the fact that the shipping cost would probably be the price of a one-way plane ticket from Korea because that's just how damn big the thing is, what about all the people who are going to think it's some sort of freaky sex doll? Nuh-ah I'll stick to SD sized dolls :P

    14. D:

buying a 1/2 scale doll......the shipping would be the most evil thing ever!!! D:

    15. holy cow, re-stringing a 1/2 scale doll would be fun though.

I must be wierd because I LIKE re-stringing dolls...finding out how their joints and sockets work, and getting the tension right....these things are fun for me.

I will admit that I would totally love to re-string a 1:2 doll.

Granted, I'd need bunji-cords, but it'd be soooo worth it! :D

otherwise, I wouldn't get one, no.

If I could borrow one to re-string, that'd be great! I'd also like to do a psychological study maybe someday, too. I live 10 minutes away from San Francisco, and there are always "public reaction"-type studies going on there.

    16. I was just discussing this on a different forum, lol. I personally would not want a 1/2 scale doll. I have one 70cm and I don't think I could handle anything bigger than that. 90cm is over half my height, I'd never be able to do anything with something that big without an assistant. But that doesn't mean they aren't nice. I've seen pictures of some of them and they are gorgeous, just too big for little ol' me. :)

    17. I don't really think I'll buy a doll that big, I mean after watching horror movies like doll master I'll be to freak out with such a huge doll.

    18. I totally would IF the doll was attractive. If it looked like a stare-y eyed monster with crummy sized limbs then NO. I love the big Lusions. If it looked like that only more of if, I'd be the first in line to lay down my cash.

    19. I would love a 1:2 sized doll, i have seen a life size but she wasnt what i wanted, as long as she was one that I know I would adore for a long time, I would be happy. I dont think it would creep me out at all, it might creep some of my friends out though!

OT Imagine building a doll house for one of these!

    20. On one hand I'd love such a large doll as I'd have so much to play with when making clothes-- so much detail! And I admit, I do have a preference for large dolls with a 45 cm doll being the smallest I would go and even then under a tad of duress. But on the other hand... I'm not sure whether i'd be able to carry it around and cradle it like I love- would the height be unwieldly? The weight immense? I think I'd need to see one in real like and genuinely be able to gauge whether or not it would just be too much to handle before I could make that decision unfortunately.
