1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Not my cup of tea.

Although I have a SD boy whom I love so much, I prefer MSD and smaller dolls. Bigger than 65cm is not for me.

    2. I like the big dolls and have four SD sized ones. In addition I actually have a full sized human mannequin that looks like Jennifer Lopez. It came with a dress I bought that she wore in a movie. So a big doll would be ok if it was light enough. I actually kind of like that "uncanny" feeling I get around big bjds.

    3. It would be too creepy for me, kinda reminds me of those "love" dolls. Or small children. :|

    4. I have to say those "love dolls" are pretty creepy to me too. Not so sure I would ever want a BJD that is full sized. Thant might be a little too much even for my tolerance.

    5. I have seen BJDs that big. And I would LOVE to own one. They looked like adults to. And not like childern.

    6. I would...and I did! My 90cm guy is fun to have around. He has his own chair and doesn't take up that much room. And it is no worse than carrying my daughters around when they were toddlers. Shirts, wigs and eyes are easy to find but pants need to be custom made. I like my big guy a lot!

    7. @ Molliebean: What, there are actually 90cm BJD's out there?!? :o Wow. The biggest I've seen (on the Internet) is around 60-70cm, nothing over 80cm.
If I found a 90cm BJD I really liked, I probably would like to get him/her (most likely a girl, because it would be weird for me to have that big of a boy BJD around). I don't know how $$$ they would be, but I probably wouldn't have many anyways (1 to 2) because I wouldn't want too many big dolls.

    8. I think it's cool to have a 90cm BJD! Why not, they make life size Barbie and Play Pal Patty, a 90cm BJD would be nice, only if the face mold is lovely, be it guy or girl.

    9. Why not? I mean they do have that one life sized bjd

    10. NO. A doll THAT big would give me nightmares. I generally do not buy dolls that are above the 70cm range, and even THAT'S pushing it. :o

    11. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Dollmore's Lusion dolls are 80cm tall, but they're also a little thicker and can be mistaken for a small child.

I think MechaAngel also sells dolls in the 80cm range.

    12. The biggest doll that I will probably own will be 80cm and he will be politely standing somewhere looking epic and awesome. But he'll be the only one of his size in my collection. I don't really care for huge dolls just because the main issue would be clothing them.

I already have a varied amount of doll clothes in all kinds of sizes that take up all different kinds of room, lol that giant doll would be too much for me. Ohagi is getting a few sets of clothes, but not too much more. He's going to be a show piece, no way am I going to be lugging that boy around :XD:

Isn't Lusion coming out with that 120 cm doll?

    13. Although it would be interesting, i'm sure three price would be a turn down for me. If my favorite ones are $700, i'm afraid what a 1/2 scale would cost.

    14. Dolls that large are amazingly awesome, but certainly not for me.

I'm too small to wield one, for instance. Also, as my tastes have matured, I've come to like smaller scale dolls. I find that 1/4 seems about perfect for me.

    15. Angel of Dream actually has a 1/2 size line of dolls, and they all look really good- I've even seen one on display at a convention! The biggest drawback for me would be finding shoes for them. I try to be as self-sufficient as possible with my dolls, and as such I make the majority of their clothes so that wouldn't really be a problem. I have made shoes before as well, but I know I don't have the same skills as a professional craftsman in that area. Of course, I guess some vendors on eBay might be an option, but then you'd have to be careful in getting the right size.

    16. No way! That would totally freak me out! I'm still figuring out if I want an msd or not :)

    17. Probably not, I've never been all that into big dollies. The whole idea of having a doll that was almost as big as me has never been all that appealing. I think even getting an SD would be a bit of a stretch.

    18. No, those dollies are too big for me. I wouldn't have place for them at home. But thinking again, even if I did, I consider 1/2 too big.

    19. if by 1/2 we mean around 80-90cm... I don't know. It's known I love the tallest dolls (70cm) the most although I like all sizes from 16cm up. I'm not sure I would ever try owning a 90cm doll but I did ponder/am pondering to get an 80cm one to shell one of my characters that is supposed to be that 'hideously' tall.
