1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Not only is she taller then me, but she's so skinny that she'd make me feel like a house next to her.

    2. I think 1/2 scale would be a bit too big and clunky to carry around or do much of anything with. I really can't imagine myself carrying a doll that large to a meet or for a photo shoot, it sounds awkward to pose and balance because of it's size.

    3. I'll stick to 1/4 scale and smaller. I am still adjusting since I just got my first 1/4. Next larges before that was a 1/6.
Although I might be able to use a 1/2 doll as a dumbbell, I don't like the idea of carrying around such a big doll.

    4. I think I might like a 1/2 doll, but not if was a mature sculpt. I think having a little adult would be kind of strange. A child sculpt would be cool though. I would make all sorts of costumes for it to model and wouldn't care if it was chunky or heavy! I would care about the price though -_-U

    5. Too heavy to carry...

    6. as it is, SDs are too big for my tastes. i think a 1/2 scale doll wouldn't be portable enough--plus, can you imagine how much those things would cost? :o

    7. I love big dolls so i would probably do it
but id imagine that would be soooooo heavy >.< so much resin to lug around

    8. That D-storic chick is my size! We could probably share some clothes, although she is of course not shaped like a real person. And those ridiculous little vetigial Barbie feet, Jesus, how does she stand on those things.

And that new Dollmore line, Trinity (Lusion's big sister), at 105cm, is more than half my height....

No, I couldn't have anything that big in my apartment. It'd be like having a roommate. If I had the space for human-sized dolls to play dress-up with, I'd probably just save my money & buy regular mannequins.

Friend of mine lives in a massive loft decked out with funkily-dressed and modified mannequins (think Sebastian's workshop in Blade Runner ^^) and it is a very cool effect... but, he has a massive loft, not a 1-bedroom apartment, so that's fine for him but not me. ;;^^ Funnily enough, mannequins don't bug him but dolls creep him out. I'd almost be tempted to buy him a big 175-cm D-Storic girl, dress it up all cybergoth like the other mannequins, & then just leave it sitting in his house, to see how long it took him to notice. :XD:

      She's so pretty, I wish they made her in a 1/3 size O_o If a 1/3 is around 7 to 8 pounds...OMG!

The Trinity girl is 'mature', but in a creepy sort of uncomfortable way. Her face is so oddly immature. My own opinion, Nabakovian much? Not that I'd fault anyone for having one, but still, I have enough people making snide comments about my hobby, I'm not brave enough to handle the escalation in off handed bullying. I think anyone who had done the baby beauty pageant thing would like a Lusion after their kid escaped into teen-hood, though. If a Lusion were portrayed in more child appropriate clothing rather than the strange stuff she is 'sold' in the pictures with, I'd probably not be so creeped out.
Re: strange sized dolls in general? Nice trick to get business from selling specific size shoes and clothing.

    10. I might possibly want to own one...

    11. Rajendora She's taller than me!! She's amazingly pretty, but wow.

But, when I was deciding on a doll, I was looking at a 1/3 doll, but in the end, the size scared me. So, I don't think I'll be able to do a 1/2 doll. I do love my 1/4 doll, and I'm happy with her size.

    12. I've seen the AOD 1/2 size in person. It terrified me and almost gave my dolly-fearing hubby a stroke.

    13. @ Catie: Be careful at doll meets. If this girl gets popular, you may be in danger. (terrible joke, I know, but from a good heart, I swear. >.<;;)

I just got used to my 1/4 doll, she seems so small next to my big dolls! And then there's the YoSD on order.

Maybe if I had seen the 1/2 dolls first, I would have been OH WOW, but now that I've had actual 1/3 dolls and felt how heavy they are, I can be critical and say, hmm, look at the seam lines on that thigh, unh-unh, too bad.

    14. Before or after he saw the 6,ooo$ price tag? O_o omg....

    15. No, I'm only 5'2" that would be way too big for me:sweat.

    16. I don't know, the more I think about it the more I consider owning one. Still not sure about it for sure, but if I saw a head sculpt that I absolutely adored, I probably would take the plunge.

    17. If I could afford the asking price I would buy a really big one. Of course that would depend on the sculpt. I'm not interested in any that have childlike faces, but if Soom released any of their beautiful men in a really big size, I would want one! In fact life size would be good! Dress him up and sit him in the living room. Much less trouble than real boyfriends or husbands and better looking than most! :) haha

    18. I think 90cm is a little too large, mainly because I'm only 5'1 myself and I would have had difficulties carrying and working around/with a doll that size. Still, if I absolutely loved the head sculpt I might still have bought it (if I had the money at hand and nothing better to spend it on, haha)

    19. At the beginning I thought 60 - 65 cm dolls were BIG. Then I saw the 70 cm and I thought 60 - 65 are just the right size and I did not want them to be less that 60.

Now that I have the dolls, I find that lots of shops on etsy and ebay sell MSD and tiny dolls size clothes but it's hard (for me) to find great options for my SDs.

So thinking about it. I wont go for the bigger size I am happy with the 60ish for now =D
