1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I think the idea is neat. Would probably like to see them. But I doubt I'd buy unless something awfully convincing came up due to room space and mobility constraints. Those things would be heavy!

    2. I can definitely say no. I definitely would not want a 1/2 scale doll. To me, they'd be just too large. I mean, I find my SD boy too large, so I can't imagine what I'd do with a 1/2 scale. My favourite size is mini / MSD size. They're big enough for me. :)

    3. There's a point at which a doll is unmanageable, and I'd have to say that would be the point. SDs are already big enough.

    4. I would like to see one, only to appreciate what it is, but I would never have one.

    5. Now that I've seen the Lee El boys - hell yeah! :D Well, if I could save up the money and find room for such a huge doll.

    6. Too big. Much larger than an SD and as far as I am concerned you're getting into psuedo human/sex doll territory and that kind of thing while admittedly fascinating also kind of creeps me out. I don't want a doll that's nearly as tall as I am.

    7. No Big size isnot my type!!! also I kind of like the doll looking like a doll If I want to play with human Iwould play with my son!! So Msd is the right size for me !! oK and some other a little bigger ones might be appealing also!!!

    8. I have a porcelin (IS that spelled right?) doll that comes up to my hip. She's on a stand and in very elaborate victorian clothing. She just kind of stands there but I love her to death. I think having a half sized BJD would be really fun, because then s/he could move around and pose and not just stand on a stand. I would love one!

      Oh, the cost though...

    9. Mysticice26, porcelain?

I wouldnt want so big one. Even 70cm already gives u troubles with posing, and I guess its increases with height... Clothes cost probably gonna be close to my own, also))

    10. Not really, I prefer smaller dolls. 1/3 is already too big for my taste, my limit is around 45 cm.

    11. No :) too big. Even 1/3 scale is too big for me.
But it would interesting to see them in reality. On other hand, they should weight a lot as well and should be difficult to handle.

    12. I have 3 over 70cm and i'm thinking about getting a soom mecha angel 80cm. Not sure how tall a 1/2 doll would be but it would be interesting to see:)

    13. No way! Anything bigger than an MSD, really, gets too creepy for me. ;A;

I couldn't imagine having a doll that big...it's super uncanny valley for me, personally.

    14. Um... Yeah probably at 76cm my Mecha Angel is beginning to push into that territory; and I am planning to buy an IOS 80cm in the distant future so 90cm isn't really that big a jump. Though the Mecha-Angel is supposed to be a very tall non-human being that towers over everyone else! So it just depends on whether I ever have a character who's a giant!

    15. I think 1/2 is far too big. It couldn't sit on a shelf with my others and I think i'd personally get freaked out by it. They look so realistic as it is, imagine them being super realistic and that big?

    16. Nope! I think that my 60cm guys are plenty big! A bigger doll would be much harder to take places, share, and dress. Plus, I feel like it would just be too close in size to my little brother...

    17. I have this old doll that used to belong to my older sister, it's about 3 feet tall and fits children's clothes. It's not jointed, but I think it was supposed to be able to walk-- I think you're supposed to move the arms and then the legs move although it doesn't work anymore, it can barely stand up. It's kinda creepy looking though, it has eyes that open and close and the hair is all chopped because I guess my sister gave it a haircut when she was a kid. For Halloween I dress it up and put a wig on it and put it in my window. :sweat

If I could afford one I might buy a 1/2 scale doll. I think the ones in "Another" are kinda cool.

    18. I totally would! :) I think they're absolutely amazing! I plan to get every size in my collection some day. The only issues concerning the 1/2 size is that they're usually very expensive and hard to dress. So it might be a long time before I ever own one.

    19. I have more than enough trouble already handling my superhero EID. I don't even want to THINK about how tough it would be to dress, pose or carry anything bigger than he is. o_0

    20. No...absolutely not. That is WAY too big!
