1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I wouldn't want one that big, it would scare the heck out of me ;_;

    2. Hmm... I think I'd be interested. The cost would probably be too prohibitive for me to actually *buy* one, but i'd want one, for sure.

    3. i'm kind of split on this. on one hand, a 1/2 doll would be SO BADASS (imo, although i know lots of people would beg to differ), but on the other hand, i buy dolls to play with. not a substitute kid. :/

    4. I think the 1/3 size is my limit. I only have 1/3 size dolls because I think the others are a bit small for my taste, but I don't think I can handle anything bigger either.

      Who knows though, they might not be quite as creepy as I'm imagining them to be. (probably are though)

    5. I go for the small and cute ones (but not tiny) myself... having a 1/2 scale one would remind me too much of My Twinn dolls. They scare the almighty frick out of me... it'd be like having a provocatively dressed, effeminate small child in your house. ALL THE TIME. In a box. People would... talk.

    6. I would *love* a 1/2 scale BJD, especially if it were in the style of the Japanese artist dolls that look like the eerie little kids. I've always wanted one of those to buyfrilly little dresses for, and take them to playgrounds and parks, and photograph them looking all eerie and sullen there. But then I'd probably get arrested, so maybe not. XD;

    7. If I could afford one, yeah I'd probably go for it :)

      It would be especially cool if I could make or find some non-human looking ones. Fairies, pixies, beast people, etc. Things that would be considered "life sized" at that height.

      I think that I would have to have at least two though, so I could set them up at a nice, little table, and they could keep each other company.

      Still, they would definitely be posable art, not toys. It would be like having my own museum exhibit. (And half of the fun would be being able to creep out guests with them. Somebody's overstayed their welcome? Show 'em the doll room. They'll leave soon enough ;) )

    8. When I was a child they used to have the life-sized dolls where, being about 8, you could actually switch cloth with the doll. I never could fit into one, but I know I wanted to have one as a child. They were 4 feet tall, I think.

    9. I'll love to have one but only if the price is right & not too heavy & have clothes & shoes that are reasonably priced. I don't bring my dolls out much but at home i can wheel it around or to the garden with me in my wheelchair! :)

    10. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. As people have said they would either be heavy or they would have to be completely hollow which means that they would be more fragile.

      I also wouldn't like one just because I wouldn't find it fun. When dolls get too big they're not cute anymore... in my opinion.

    11. I think I really have to draw the line somewhere; Dollshe boys are my top limit. I might admire bigger ones, but would probably never buy one.

    12. I definitely would, if I could afford it. The bigger the better! ^_^

    13. I dont think I would buy one, but I would be happy to look at what people can do with them.

    14. I think I would get creeped out. It would seem like a comatose child to me. Too wierd...

    15. Thanks to the size they will be too heavy to carry and pose...
      Plus too me personally it would look akward

    16. No for me. The size would be awkward and somewhat creepy, too. Plus there's the issue of space, and carrying them around...cost, also. 70cm is my limit. :) -hugs her Hound-

    17. I'm surprised Soom's Sabik hasn't been mentioned (least not when I searched for his name). Granted I'm on the petite side, but he's only an inch shy of half my height. He's hard to catch (batch release rather than made to order), but I fully indend to own one.

    18. Totally. Constant access to the carpool lane amirite? 8D

    19. ...O_O half scale dolls would be terrifying. I doubt I'd ever want something bigger than an MSD size. Plus, if it was 90 cm it'd be a bit more than half my height, it'd be impossible to carry around or do anything with. And it would terrify me. I never even liked the my-size barbies when I was little. XD

    20. I wouldn`t buy one, 1/2 would just be too big, not that dollielike anymore in my opinion ^^"""
