1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Ooh, how tall is Sabik, and will he be available again?

    2. I would love to have one, but I wouldn't put him in with my other dolls. But just think how cool it would be to have a 36" tall doll! If he was done in the same style as the 1/3's then I could see myself buying one if I had the money!

    3. I totally second this idea. Having a 1/1 would be AWESOME *_* Of course, having a persocom (read: Chobits), would be cool too <<

But yes D: a 1/1 would be brilliant, probably quite a hassle to carry, but still~<3

    4. I said no because that's were I draw the line for human like inanimate objects. I think the doll would scare me more that bring enjoyment. I know at one point someone had a life size Chii doll from Chobits. And the owner could wear the clothes.

It takes a lot to freak me out and I think that would be it.

    5. my gosh no! I would sleep @_@, real life size dolls exist, they are not bjd but they exist and are often really realistic. To me it's to much like having a dead body in the house. PLus I think people use them as make believe friends, and it's creepy. Don't mistake me I adore my bjds, and people already think it's strange, but the line between human and toy is very clear to me. Make believe human beings are just not for me (my gosh I'm scared just to talk about them:horror:)

(I know this is not the original question, but the discution seems to have derived ths way :) )

    6. I would certainly buy a doll that big, i would'nt be freaked out by its size at all.
Just think, you could actually buy some decent furniture for it and clothes - i bet you could go out and pick up some nice clothes from a SHOP for a change (albeit you might have to alter them a bit).
Bring em on, that's what i say and maybe they could make them a little bit rounder so they were'nt like stick insects.

    7. I have a Mecha Angel, so why not? He's difficult to carry and all, but he's gorgeous and so realistic. He's definitely worth the trouble. A doll that's able to wear tailored children's clothing would make things a lot easier on me.

      Wal-Mart, anyone?

    8. I am a freak in that I'd love it, even if I have no space/money to. XD

The face-ups would be easier though, I would think..

    9. 80cm, and on May 24 for a few days. With an additional cyborg arm. :aheartbea

    10. I think it would be great! I'm a clothing historian and one of the reasons I want a doll is to make costumes for her that I can't for myself. I think it would be even better on a 1/2 size doll. The only trick would be affording her. Of course, it would all depend on there being a sculpt I liked. :)

    11. I think I'd be a bit too creeped out by a doll that big - nevermind the fact that it would be far too heavy and also incredibly expensive.

    12. Having a 1/1-sized doll would totally freak me out. A person that had one too... I can't see the point. These dolls are very living, and having a real-sized around would be like having a corpse in the house or something else. Probably it would be easier to sew for etc, but why not sew for yourself instead, or a friend, or a kid... You know, you can pose people for artistic photos and use them as models too.

    13. Wow, that's double the size of a 1/4th and pretty tall for a 1/3. Personally, I think I'll stick to my 60cm and down. Anything larger and I'd worry about space.

    14. He's 80cm and is avaliable regularly, but in limited batches. I hold off on pouncing hoping for a white one. Best of all, Soom has a 6 month layaway!

To me, he is 1/2 scale. Yes, I am vertically challenged.

    15. If I fell for the mold, I'd consider buying it. The size would only be a factor in that I'd like to keep all my dolls in scale with each other, so I'd have to re~~~eally like the mold to ignore that.

    16. Hahaa, Sabik is exactly 1/2 scale for me too! That is so awesome! Thanks for telling me about him, guys! I really hope the next Sabik will be cheaper than the I.B. Hunter, though. O.o Do you think he will be the Sabik on the site with the smoking gun? I'm very curious to see this mechanical arm!

And as for the 1/1 scale Chii, er...that was me. Too bad she isn't allowed to be discussed on this site, or I'd go on an on about her. Heh!

    17. Seems like a good idea but I think I'd be a little...freaked out xD

    18. What, something that's half my height and has a mechanical arm? WANT. NOW.

I'm in the short crowd, too. XD He'd be a little less than half my height. And I want him, yes please. Might be a little hard to carry, but I'll manage. XD

    19. yeah, that would kinda start moving into the realm of uncanny valley and i would just not want one. no doubt they would look cool but they would be freaky too...like those life size wedding barbie dolls...i wanted one as a kid(even though it was like a hundred dollars) but i would be creeped out by em now. bjd's creep me out sometimes and they're not half scale! XD

    20. I would totally get a half-sized one. Definitely. I'm in love with average sizes, but the larger ones are a dream. *_* Sure, it'd be heavy and awkward to change clothes, and all, but I could hug it better, and it'd creep my sister out at night! *cackles*
