Big Breast, Flat, or Inbetween

I grew up with Barbies so I'm happy that there are a range of bust sizes to chose from! I don't necessarily choose a doll based on a character in my head so I try to chose a bust size that looks "right" to me. And speaking as a severly busty woman, it is horrifically easy to unintentionally achieve the "cheap and sleazy" look when you're actually going for young and age appropriate (I'll be 27 on Thursday), and also too easy to head into drab and frumpy when you're trying for professional and modest. Patterns, layers, and cut can only do so much before it's out of your hands. >_<

 

I like breasts on a doll, but not to the point of where they can't stand because of it.

I agree with what many others here say, it depends on the character. If it's a child, then breasts would be odd and strange.

But for an adult larger breasts would be acceptable.

 

small breast not totally flat but really small is nice and not too high up on the body!! Hello boobs are not located right at the collar bone....... urgh...

 

I like big boobs, hips and curvy bottoms. I love to look at my dolls and see a beautiful female form, and androgyny does not appeal to me personally at all. For what it's worth, I prefer my male dolls to be well-muscled and masculine and that includes below the belt. That said, I do enjoy variety and have a number of different shapes and sizes in my collection. I love yo-sized dolls also and as they are childlike I wouldn't expect or want them to have the mature bodies I like in my larger dolls.

 

That's why I like having my dolls have something there, but not too much.

 

If I were to get an older doll, I'd prefer she gets a medium or B cup sized boobies XP

 

i love when female doll's are right in between. my favorite example, and favorite female body, would be the iplehouse adult females. even with no clothing on their ladies still look very natural. which was actually something i had an issue with when it came to the elfdoll girl's bodies, when they originally upgraded them.

i like the female dolls to look like women. i really love my first girl doll, which is a DOT camine female, but she is sooo skinny and her breasts are almost pointy looking. it just seems un natural compared to the more feminine dolls at iplehouse. ah but i love her anyways!

 

I prefer for my female dolls to have a smaller bust. Large busts tend to scare me (suffacating in my sleep). I also find that most doll busts are too big for their bodies.

I don't think I have ever had to tell someone that one of my dolls was a girl... Though a few people have mistaken my Fullset DZ Chen for a girl... I mean really?! He looks nothing girl!

I think I'm going to buy a doll that has boobs, but not insanely big.

 

Depending how large of a breast they are and proportion they are to the body. Anything like Volks dynamite, then no.

 

Small!

As have small breasts and dislike anime (yes I'm a BJD owner who dislikes anime O,o) because it makes me feel 'small'
So I would rather have a doll who reflected me (I;m getting a Resinsoul Mei, and am even thinking of giving her a breast reduction...) rather than an "ideal" body.

Small is a big no no. I just don't like childlike dolls, and being of the bigger busted crowd myself, small busted dolls just don't seem realistic to me.
Mature dolls all the way for me! ^_^

 

Small, I'd have to say. I'm not sure why, but even my adult OCs rarely seem to be well-endowed. O_o; I guess willowy appeals to me more than curvy. I may be less in love with the female form than most, though.

In general I prefer they look proportional and, well, comfortable to the doll in question. An EID looks like she's fine with the fact that she's stacked, but some seem to look unbalanced and or like not the right owner of the rack in question.

 

Boobs boobs boobs... Oh my! I personally prefer girl dolls with smaller breasts. I'm however so disappointed in the SD girl bodies available- i find that most girl bodies look way too 'sexy'/grown up/model-doll/Barbie-ish for my taste with their tiny little waists and their imho big boobs. I like the Volks SD10 girl body a lot as it has smaller boobs and some meat on it's bones (or some RESIN on it's bones, more like it!^^) I just wish that more companies would offer girl bodies that would be a little more on the 'chubby' side and with smaller sized boobs- or at least boobs that'd look more natural.

 

To be honest, I prefer flat chested girls. But I only have about 10 female characters when I have over 100 characters... and I think eight of ten of them are flat chested. (I have a big issue with having female characters as I have anxiety toward women).

However when i got my second hand BBB Rachel, she came with a mature styled body. I thought about modifying her into a flat-chested girl, but the more I looked at her, the more I thought that it kind of fit the character. I usually let the doll become the character instead of having something set out before hand.

The only problem that I have with her having large breasts (aside from the anxiety) is that I've been sewing for my boy dolls for a while, but I have very little knowledge on how to make proper female clothing.

 

I like flat chested dolls or dolls with small breasts.
But I would buy a doll with bigger breasts if that would suit her character.

 

I don't own any girl dolls and probably never will, but if I did, I would choose her bust size (sculpt) according to her character design. I'm not someone who buys the doll before the character is created, so I would stick with whatever I had initially designed. As for personal tastes, I think I like seeing girl dolls with smaller chests over larger ones, probably because I'm not very well-endowed myself, haha! Just being honest.

 

That would depend on the characters. I've got some that are supposed to be big (as in "tall and busty", not as in "fat"), intimidating and dominating women, and so of course I'd want something like the Iplehouse EID girls for them. Then I've got some small and petite ladies (not all of whom are particularly feminine or demure) and for them I'd want a girl doll with a smaller chest and a more slender build. Then I have a few in-betweens as well, for example a teenage girl coming from the busty and scary family who isn't quite busty and scary yet.

Personally, I think all proportionally harmonious girl dolls (actually, women in general) are beautiful, and it's hard to pick one or the other. I think I lean more towards the big-breasted, tall women because... I dunno. I'm on the smaller side of things myself, and the tall, busty femme fatale girl dolls kind of represent what I'm not.

 

I prefer range as well because it depends on the character. Not every adult woman has a large bust; ask my best friend and roommate. It also depends on what you personally like. If you want the big boobed doll, get her!!! If you want the small boobed doll, get her too!!! Love what you want and don't let someone's personal basis make your decisions for you, because that will only lead to regret. This hobby is all about customization and personalization. I'm not too bothered to be honest. More concerned about the nipples and how they would poke through the clothes. It's good that the girl I have right now doesn't have that problem, but it's something I might have to deal with if I decide to scale up. I'm surprised how many 1/3rd size doll bodies I see with headmoulds I've been looking at that appear to have cut off the studs of football boots, painted them pink and stuck them to their chests.

It was already awkward enough when my dad first noticed that Mud had "lady bits" instead of Barbie anatomy.
