Big Breast, Flat, or Inbetween

It depends on how I imagine the character the doll is shelling... some of my doll ideas have larger chests than others. I tend to go for middle-of-the-road sized sculpts, though. Those are the easiest to dress and envision, imo.

 

I prefer small/medium because usually to me the larger busts can look too cartoon-y. I also know from others that large busts can make it harder to get some clothes to fit. I am not against the large busts though, I can't say I would never get a BJD with a larger bust.

 

I prefer small because I really like the childish look of dolls that are shaped like children, but are older in age and personality. It's a nice contrast.

 

I prefer small to medium, usually depending on the character. Either because it's easier to get clothes for these sizes, but also because I have big boobs myself and highly dislike it :
The only exception was my Dollfie Dream, I got the Dynamite body which comes always with a HUGE bust because I loved the wide hips and thicker thighs of it.
The normal DD bodies are too thin for my taste, so I sucked it up and got the Dynamite body with the nice curves but also with the ridiculous big boobs that seem to defy gravitiy

I highly dislike it that a lot of companies seem to only think in extremes too.
Like, small means absolutely flat while medium is already a Double D (I'm looking at you, Loongsoul MSD girl body).
Or companies that skip the flat/small option right away and give you only the option between big and even bigger.
I wish my Iple EID woman had the option of having smaller boobs since her character is actually rather flat.

 

I prefer medium chests and I am also more concerned with shape... I don't like the really big breasts that are 'attached' to each other in the front. When I was trying to decide on a new body for my floating head I picked the AOD medium chest girl over the Fantasy Doll body because the FD girl body breasts are too round and look very 'fake' and not 'natural'

 

It seems that almost every company these days is coming out with more and more ginormous busts for their girl dolls, even for MSD sized girls. I find this highly disturbing. I feel embarrassed to browse through a BJD shopping mall lately, as most of the dolls are far from decent and innocent looking.

I prefer slender and feminine girls, not overly sexualized dolls. What's more annoying is that most companies don't offer a smaller bust option anymore, or their "small" option is not even medium to my eye. I'm so tired of seeing a pair of hot air balloons attached to an otherwise lovely girl doll. I don't understand why this trend has become so dominant with dolls that started out as something ethereal and rather elf like. Finding a slender elf girl with a delicate body is next to impossible these days. I don't want an elf girl with giant silicone implants running around the woods, just not a pretty image.

 

I like the larger breast on most of my dolls. I do however think they should have options for people who do not want such large breast.

 

I feel the same way about my dolls. I really don't want sexy bombshell bodies on my dolls but I like to think of them as older. There are real life women who have small builds with small breasts and no hips.

 

I like them obscenely large, I modify everything even paper dolls arent safe with me

 

I think it really depends on the character for me. When I was super new to the hobby, I always liked the inbetween best. Not to small, yet not too large either. Right now, I only have one girl with boobs and they are right in the middle and suit her body and her character perfectly. My next girl purchase will have a bit bigger chest, though. I don't like the super duper huge chest just because I prefer my dolls to be more realistic and to me, having boobs that ginormous just isn't that real-seeming.

 

This is an interesting topic because I had wondered as to if I wanted a bigger or a medium sized bust for my first doll.
I think that big boobs can be not so attractive, when they squeeze together and are roughly the size of the doll's face. But sometimes I wonder if medium is too small.
I like, on humans, a size C or a small or medium D. But not bigger or smaller than that.
I think also, that maybe it's easier to have a medium from a fitting perspective. Buying clothes would be a little easier for a less full figure. I could be wrong about that though.

 

It depends on the character I'm going for. I do feel overall a lot of the dolls have busts on the small size which works sometimes and other times not so much. Along as the breasts are proportional to the body any size can look nice but I personally like that rare middle ground.

 

For me it depends on the character I want to portray. Just like some women have large breasts and others very small ones, it depends on the kind of body type I think of that character as having, and also the mold of the doll itself. I do not want all my dolls looking the same, having the same sized breasts like they were cookie-cuttered out.

 

I think I would likely go for a medium. I do not like big breasts as they often potray of as being fake and I like a more natural look. Granted ofcourse that some people get big breasts out of their own, but I do not like big breasts on my dolls.

 

I actually think small breasts look better than larger, tbh. Some of the larger ones are too unrealistic and weird. They're round and look like they reach up to the neck/chin, almost choking the poor girls lol. That being said, I prefer medium sized busts on my dolls, but if there was a choice between a large bust and a flat chest, I'd definitely go with the latter.

 

I prefer small to medium breasts, mostly just cos that's what I like looks-wise but also cos it allows for easier clothes finding. lol

 

Oh I'm the worst, my favorite thing is the ideal women body with big breasts and a tiny waist!

 

Only in this hobby, will you ever broach a topic like this. It's like the obligatory doll boy bit conversation on the way to a doll meet. (I am totally serious here, it always works it's way into a conversation when I'm at a meet. XD)

It really depends on the character for me. I do agree that a lot of the smaller busts look barely noticeable, so I really like when a company offers three sizes (or more). (I'm not so much a fan when there's only small or large, as that can be too little or too big.) That way you have a lot of options. Most of my girls tend toward the middle when allowed, with only a few falling in the large or small category.

 

I think people have different preferences for different reasons. Some work with a character in mind, other seem to gravitate to what they are most physically used to/comfortable with.

 

I suppose it depends on the dollie! If you're looking for her to fill a certain character, then obviously go for the one that matches! But for me a prefer a more small breast, not completely flat though. I'm not too sure why, I just like dainty, small features on my dolls! Though I suppose most of them are child-like dolls so it would be slightly odd to want giant boobs on then right~?
