1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Bishonenhouse dolls!

Jun 8, 2016

    1. @P-Aei - I hope so too! My biggest issue is times zones...hence why I always seem to miss out on scrap sales. I would love his hat, boots, and gloves, but if I really had to choose I would just go for the hat. I love a good looking hat. ;) Your Vince is amazing! :D

@kurogane - I would love to be a higher supporter, but alas I'm trying to save for so many important adult things that's just not feasible for me right now (why do adult things have to be so expensive?) I really, really hope you enjoy your Vince. It certainly sounds like you're super excited.

    2. @P-Aei your Vince is awesome! Vince is totally not my normal type of guy. I guess there has to be one black sheep in the flock.

@Quiet and Insane thank you! I am excited! I remember when Vince's first pre order came out and I couldn't get him. I thought I could find one later. Ha, it's been impossible to find one secondhand! If I hadn't heard of being a Patreon, I still wouldn't. It's hard to believe a year has gone by already!

    4. @Quiet and Insane oh, yes, I do believe you will get one! It does happen! You have such a unique doll crew, I'd love to see what you do with a BishonenHouse sculpt.

    5. @kurogane - Aww thanks! I think any of Donn's sculpts would be super fun to play with. The whole idea of getting a doll in kit form is honestly just the coolest thing and I love watching a doll come to life in front of me. Also I love comic books, so his BSV guys make the whole idea 1000 times cooler (though my fiance would argue I'm a huge nerd and need to calm my farm).

    11. Hehehe, the box on the top of the pile is mine (I see Australia written in bold). That'll be my parts from last month's scrap sale.

    12. My Nails kit arrived this afternoon (sometimes I hate being the last stop on the route), and I spent just an hour with the exacto knife doing a quick cleanup of the seams and flashing... then some more time cutting and tying and retying the elastics... still not quite happy with the tension, but this will do. I got tired of trying and just wanted to hurry up and put him together already! lol
So after a quick dive into the MSD drawer, I give you.... Rusty! (get it?)

    16. @aernath love the name! And, wow, you got yours together fast! I take a week carefully sanding each piece...

@P-Aei I just about died of laughing. Pastel Punk, the new 'in' trend for sure! The bunny slippers are the crowning touch!

My day is now much brighter because of this thread. :XD:

    17. OMG the bunny slippers! lmao! Poor guy... he looks tough enough to back them up though, so he'll be fine I'm sure. ;) *giggles*
And the perfect flowers to pose him with! hee hee hee
The gloved hands are nice! I was happy to not have to clean up the regular hands first.
And I got the painted faceplate the same time, I believe. I almost forgot about them. lol Made it possible to have him 'ready to go' fairly quickly.
Now, if I start painting Rusty's faceplates, I'll have to make sure to do all of Steve's that have been waiting forever... :sweat

For size comparison. I don't have a Vince; just Steve and now Nails.
Those are some quick elastic-waisted MSD shorts I made years ago. The elastic only has to stretch a little bit to get over his hips. It doesn't stretch at all on his waist.
I tried one of the MSD shirts I make on him, but his biceps are too big. So probably best to go with stetchy shirts for him.
The boots are regular MSD boots, but are a little big. They suit him though.

    19. @aernath Oh wow, he is so tall compared to Steve!! How long did you make the elastic?

@P-Aei Pastel Punk looks awesome. Love it XD

    20. @Eiko82 (I know you weren't asking me but I wanted to answer too.) For the elastic, I made four 20" Loops (Two for each leg) And for the arms I made two 18" loops. (Though 17" might work better.) I gave Nails two loops of elastic in his arms because they are BEEFY, I was afraid one loop of elastic might not hold them up properly lol.

@aernath What did you use for elastic? <:

I'm glad everyone likes his bunny slippers! I Love tough guys with soft spots lol.
