Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       If only I could afford to move up a tier or two. Sadly the conversion rate is making it really hard right now. I really would love to give more but it comes down to what I can afford within my own monthly "allowance" for fun stuff and given that Patreon likes to send their bills at the start of the month when I receive several other bills...one day...one day. I guess I'll just have to content myself with random bits from scrap sales if I can catch them, until I get a better paying job.

    2. I wasn't aware of that (effectively) long layaway thing. Hm. Tempting.

      What is happening with Spade? I haven't seen any on here and we talked about him being imminent quite some time ago. Did I miss it?

      What is the usual wait period for these? I have got utterly fed up ordering Dollshes because of the outrageous wait so, if these are anything like that, I am out.

    3. While Dollshe keeps taking larger orders and has a crew of workers, Donn is it. He does the casting, sanding and so on. Weather you get a kit or the doll assembled and all the painting done by Donn it takes time. I am paying in about a week the payment on my Nails, and I paid for Spade last year in March. But Donn is one guy and he does have allergies and lung issues so he does need to take breaks. He is going to have Spade done soon and he will be well worth the wait. It's not easy casting not just the boys parts but the cowboy boots and that. He only makes maybe 15-20 of any of these guys, as he wants to also create more characters, but he does get his promised work done.

    4. Crikey! So well over a year? OK. I have reached the point in life where I just don't have the patience for waits like those, but that is absolutely fine. I really, really have enough dolls and a long enough wish list as it is!

    5. Finally got the time to post a picture! I have to use my ipad and desktop just to post pictures, what a pain.

      Anyway, here is Vince!
      He 'borrowed' Steve's body as he was getting impatient waiting for his to come, lol. Plus August is a doll con, so we wanted to be ready.

      Clothes from Alice's Collection msd, and shoes are 17" Kish shoes. Vince has informed me sneakers won't do, he wants boots, a leather jacket, a studded belt. Yeah, sure....

    7. It's fine. I buy a doll a year so the long waits just don't work for me. As I say, I have more than enough resin already, so I can admire at a distance. If something comes up on the secondary market I might jump for it.

    9. @MadamMauMau you could always contact Donn. C: he's casting Spade now, if not pretty soon so kits and etc. Might crop up! About now is probably the best time to ask about as he'll be filling orders!
      I'm happy waiting a really long time for BishonenHouse dolls because there are always updates on what Donn's up to on the patreon! I've never waited this long for a doll before. (I paid Spade off like, in January or last January lol, but only because I work on commission as an illustrator and prefer to pay in full rather than instalments.)

      Unlike ordering from other companies where I then dread waiting, getting cool updates or seeing the process of the doll being made makes the wait really fun and exciting for me. C:
      But I'm a stupidly patient person lol. But again, now would probably be an opportune time to email Donn about Spade. C: it would probably result in the lowest wait time if you asked while he was already filling orders, rather than waiting for someone to sell him. The worst he can say is no/he's full on orders.

      But I've seen bishonenhouse dolls pop up second hand! (And I'll always feel a little regret missing out on those two fullset Steve's that popped up for sale...)

      But always happy to help anyone get addicted to BishonenHouse dolls, I really freaking love them so lol.

    13. Yes the photos on Flickr lead me to Steve / Eddie. Now here I am three years later with Eddie, Spike, Zane, Logan and Elliot to join us before my birthday I hope. I have done more with Eddie then just about any doll outside of Shigure, my long time Dollstown Hue. I love my Eddie, and the others. In fact daughter has instructions that they all wear their sad faces and be at my funeral. Only they have to stay in the family. They can sell any of my other dolls, but Bishonen House boys stay in the family.

    14. Yep, yep, I totally agree! Now that I have Vince in complete doll form, he is going to get the most travel, and fun photos.

      Today I learned that Vince has a hobby! He has a fascination for carnivorous plants, so I let him appropriate my Venus Fly Trap, and today he got a Tropical Pitcher Plant. I've been able to keep the Venus alive for an entire year, so the pitcher plant is similar care. Not as difficult as orchids, which I've tried many times. Keep the house too cold year round, lol. I think Vince will like my cactus plants too....

I told my family if anything were to happen to me, to find someone who loves BishonenHouse and gift them away or sell them if they need the money. But I plan on sticking around a long time and having lots of adventures with my resin friends with my friends and family. <: THEY WILL ALL KNOW THE LOVE I HAVE FOR STEVE he is just so cool! They won't be sold otherwise, they're just my favorite!

      @kurogane Carniverious plants huh? You should take a few photos of Vince with his new hobby and share them with Donn, he'd probably like to see Vince's new hobby! ='D

      BishonenHouse Dolls are just the most travel friendly size! I'm going to paint at least 9 more faceplates today, hopefully finish modding my beat-up Vince plate too. <:

    17. Hehehe, that is awesome (morbid but awesome).

      In my family, the reactions are split : Out of all my BJDs, my 1.5 year old son seems to like my Bishonenhouse dolls (especially Kira) the most whereas my hubby is of the exact opposite opinion. He likes them the least out of all my dolls.

      I really need to get my Nails some pants. Poor guy is still sitting around just wearing a T-shirt and undies. Has anyone found any company pants that fit Nails?

    19. Thank you all for being like me and loving these guys. My daughter is not technically in hobby, but she would care for any of my dolls she inherited. Daughter in law is Redmaiko here so confident she'll take in a couple of these guys to love. Hopefully granddaughter will get into hobby as well.

      I plan to make jeans for both Nails and Vince as they are both rockers so need very special pants. If I create a good pattern I would be happy to mail it to anyone wanting to try it out.

      I am planning to take a series of photos to show each guy's personality via books, DVDs and props. Got idea from a girl on my Facebook page for Dollstown fans. I also have a page for Bishonen House fans as well so if anyone here that is on Facebook wants to join just pm me here your ID there.

      @animemom yes, please with the pants pattern (when you get it worked out). I would love to give sewing a pair a try as I have some inscale fake snake skin material to make an awesome pair of rocker pants, lol! It's brown, but looks so cool.
