Spike is back from Donn's. I had Donn blush Spike's body as well as do over some face plates I had doubles of for Eddie. Now they are all Spikes. Donn was kind enough to send a couple of more so now Spike has 8 expressions compared to Eddie who has like around 16. The stories are going to be awesome. @animemom whoo hoo! Awesome! Spike is looking great! Yay, more stories! Vince is feeling neglected, so I will spend my special day with him tomorrow. I think I will try (again) to make him some eyes. This time will work, 'cause many (many) videos watched, and new tricks learned. If I keep trying, eventually I will like a pair!
Good luck. I have bought eyes for every face plate and look forward to when I can get just one pair of eyes for each and be done. One of Donn's many projects I hope he can get to.
Thanks. I am anxious to get the rest of the boys home. I picture everyone but maybe Spade being here by my birthday.
Sweet! Love the birthday passes you made. Going to be a fun bash I suspect! All those faceplates will give Spike a great range of emotions. I got the fabric Thursday, and got totally distracted by the teeny tiny spinners! Those are so much fun, I had to show my husband. Thank you!
Happy everything arrived safe and sound. Look forward to seeing what you create with fabric, but I have a feeling the spinners will occupy your time more.
Paid off my BH Vince #2. Hopefully he ships fast so I can get a couple of stories out of the way. But it would be better if Nails got here first.
@animemom nice! I'll be looking forward to seeing your newest member to your crew! I still need to make Vince's eyes. The weather has turned out hot (90-100) and we have only a portable AC unit, so no oven. We can't even open the windows at night as there are forest fires within 30 miles, so the smoke is really bad. There is even ash falling from the sky. I hope it rains soon!
To bad you all didn't get any of the rain from Texas, instead of it all dumping on them. Hugs and hope weather gets cooler and wetter.
@animemom yes, that would have been ideal! Now another storm is headed to the East Coast. I'm just going to stay inside and work on doll stuff. A silver lining in all this.
These guys are amazing, I was able to check them out at the expo. The faces are fun, the bodies are beautiful. Would be really fun dolls to photograph. My daughter thought they were the best dolls at the whole expo!!
Please be safe and don't take any risks. Have emergency get out bag, and maybe get important stuff put into tightly sealed plastic containers. I know Target sells some good ones for around $15 the biggest ones. So does The Container Store, but they are double that. Papers in Ziploc bags into containers is always a good idea when you want them dry and safe. Hopefully it ends before it comes near you. Oh they are fantastic bjds. I will before end of year have six, two sets of two and then two others. I do mostly stories, but Eddie also travels with me. Never find a cooler doll, and Donn is going to add more cool stuff soon.
Just posted the newest story with the guys. Another step in what will be going on in the next few stories.
@animemom If I can't get Nails, at least your photostories of Steve and Vince fill the Nails-shaped gap in my heart. :P
