Bishonenhouse dolls!

Spade’s clothing order from TTYA came. So sad, nothing fits. I got regular msd sized pants and tank top. Both fit my ChicLine, who is a 40cm small msd. What? Ugh! These clothes wouldn’t even fit a slim msd! I just don’t know...So back to looking. Spade, I will not fail you!

 

I am sorry your clothing choices didn't work out. It's hard when it's a whole new size. Hopefully will find stuff once mine arrives to try stuff here.

 

I went to Alice’s Collections and found a white tank top and some pants in the same color of brown. They are supposed to be standard msd, so I am going to see if they fit. So another few weeks of waiting, lol. Since they both were under $35, I was able to get air mail shipping. I think this time will work as I tried on a pair of AC msd shorts on Spade and they fit.

 

These guys can be a challenge to find clothes for. I hope that your next order will work out @kurogane

I've tried explaining them that threats aren't the best way to get your message across but they mean well.

I find shirts easy and until I get my Spade & Nails can't say about pants.

 

I find dressing dolls very difficult. Its my least favorite aspect of the hobby. I have to face it, I’m not the fashion maven I hoped I was. My poor dolls!

 

I have learned over the years that most dolls need only one pair of pants, a couple pairs of shoes, and like four shirts. Everything else is either over doing, and just a waste of money. I admire people who work on a doll to get everything down to the eyes, wig, and clothes just perfect. But my guys are a lot like me. Jeans, t-shirts and comfortable shoes.

Here is a picture of Spade's handmade hat. I used some faux suede fabric and my own pattern. It turned out pretty good!

@aernath yes, I do have some of the fabric left and can make another hat. The next one should be even better as I know what to do. The first one was ‘I hope this works!’ .

Also, SartoriaJ on Etsy has a leather Bush hat for sale that should fit Spade. I looked up the measurements and they are the same as Spade with the wig. The hat is meant for msd Iplehouse FID women. I keep looking at it, but mine is good enough.

I decided to do something a little crazy for the last doll meet of the year - I pulled Spade out of his body bag, spent three hours cutting off the worst of the flashing and leftover sprues, and strung him (super loosely because his neck needs a lot of reinforcing). He's got so much attitude already. I'm honestly in love.
