It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Bishonenhouse dolls!

Jun 8, 2016

    1. Thanks @animemom I didn't think it looked right. It cracked some of the resin where it implanted. :( I was thinking about changing s hooks with my other dolls. I dont think I have any dowels that are sturdy enough to handle the elastic tension.

    2. @lookame That hole looks like it's been modded open a little bit. Here's a shot of mine when he first arrived:

Looks like you'll need ... maybe a washer? That would bridge the gap and still allow the string to go through. More trouble to change the headback, but thankfully we just change faceplates and the headback stays on.

      Congratulations! He's a cutie!

    3. You would be surprised how strong dowels can be. I have even used craft Popsicle sticks, and solid wood Chopsticks from World Market.

    4. Thanks for he replies. He was a display doll and used for photo shoots so I did expect some issues. I'm going to try to run to Home Depot and buy a small washer to help relieve the pressure on the headcap. I have a resin doughnut but it's for sd sized dolls and I doubt it'll fit in his tiny head.

    5. You will learn a lot from Donn's tutorials so be ready to make a list for Home Depot or even Amazon.

    6. I pulled the s hook up and put a washer between the s hook and resin. I hope this helps things. I wasnt sure if I should get a larger s hook but the hardware store only had this size and then an inch and a half size so I bought a washer instead. I may buy some apoxie sculpt and mod the hole a little so its not as wide. This seems to work though

    7. Looks great, wonderful engineering on this.

    8. Yay! Looks great!
Yeah, finding just the right size of hook is usually a challenge.
Glad your guy is up and ready now!

    9. Looking good @lookame! :) The washer seems to have done a good job. I'll be doing something similar to reinforce my Spade's neck holes as some of the worst resin bubbles where in that area.

Speaking of Spade, I'm so bummed that the weather's been great but I've been so busy and haven't had time to work on him. :( I also figured that his first name will be Haydn. No idea about his surname yet though. Time to break out my Necronomicon and flick to a random page.

    10. So I’m not positive but it looks like unoa boy (and Girl) measurements are very close. Unoa is maybe .5-1 cm larger in waist and him circumference so I think if you look for unoa clothes they should fit Steve and Vince. I didn’t really look at the chest and arm circumferences for unoa so not sure about shirts. Minifee on the other hand the hip circumference is 19.5 which is 2 cm wider than Steve and Vince. I still bought some minifee leggings so we’ll see how those fit. I also bought some jeans which fit unoa and some shoes. I’m waiting for a reply from an Etsy shop regarding a shirt. I hope they fit!

I also may try to sew a dreadlock wig for the Vince doll (not mini vince). He wears flashy holographic and rainbow leggings, casual tees and I think either dreads or his molded wig with flashy colors and black boots but I’m having trouble finding boots with an inner length of less than 6 cm

    11. Facets Boutique has great boots for the Steve and Vince feet. You will need the MO size. The bigger guys will need Athletic. These are made for Tonner dolls.

    12. And the Kish 14” doll tennis shoes fit too!

I’ve decided for my Patreon sub doll this year, I’m getting Nails. Another big guy to dress. At least I already have boots for him. Just finding the pants will be interesting. Since most will be too short, I’ve crafted a devious scheme to make this an asset.

    13. Like I have said before, Forever Virginia makes a pattern for the Dollstown seven years body that will fit Nails. I had hoped to buy it myself and make a couple of pairs for my Nails, but he's moving on.

    14. @animemom ooh, I hadn’t paid any attention because I never was going to get Nails. Funny how that happens. :thumbup I’ll have to get the pattern and I’ll make my own. My sewing skills (after 8 years) has improved to the point that most of the items I sew fit.

Donn’s dolls just seem to find a way into my collection. I only ever wanted a Vince. Now I have Vince, Spade, and going to have Nails. I have a Steve head, so all I need is an extra body, and presto! Four!

    15. I love these guys, but some work now and others have not. Maybe in time I will have them all. But very happy with my Eddie and Zane.

    16. I want to have Steve, vince and nails. I feel like I have a plan for my Steve and Vince but nails I don’t have much of a plan. Thankfully I won’t be adding nails this yr so I can think on it.

Although I have co soldered a Nails with skull faceups but I’m not sure that’d work

    17. It would be unique. Something to think about.

    18. I'm super glad I got Spade, but I'd totally love a Vince in the future. His aesthetic matches mine to a T.

    19. I am sure when you're ready for a Vince, Donn can help you with that.

    20. Hopefully! :) But that won't be until we've moved into our house and I've gotten a better job.
