1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Bishonenhouse dolls!

Jun 8, 2016

    1. @Vetinari I'd love to see your Vince!! Both of those ideas sound really cool! =D
I'm here to bother everyone in this thread hahaa, now might be a good time to poke into the BishonenHouse Patreon for people interested in the dolls. (I don't think I'm allowed to say why because it's a $4 pledge and info hasn't been shared publicly on the artists social network feeds.) So that's all I'm going to say, hahaaa.

In the meantime, here's Steve and Mira with some new sock sweaters I made:

    3. Ahhh, those sweaters are awesome @P-Aei!

Ooh congratulations @kurogane! I'm a little sad I missed out...darn these times zones and me being at work at the exact time...

    4. @kurogane Congrats! Horay! I was wondering who grabbed the Steve kit! ^^ So glad you got him! Have any plans for him?

@Quiet and Insane Thank you. <: And I feel ya, I was late showing up to the post too, I was after that Nails skull cap xD

    5. Thank you both! :3nodding:

Ah, plans...no, just I've wanted Steve since he was first announced, and for some un fathomable reason put off getting him. Then when he became very hard to get, realized I made a big mistake! I guess I truly couldn't appreciate Steve before, and now I do. I think he will remain Steve and be a casual relaxed dude who has to endure cute and action figures in his life. It's going to be tough, but entertaing (for me).

I actually missed the kit that was listed, and am getting one thanks to Donn's extreme kindness. I'm so surprised and blown away at his offer. :aeyepop:

    6. @kurogane Oh! I thought you must have been the one to snag the kit, stuff for this patreon sale post went SUPER FAST. That's so cool! Donn is really nice, he did a similar thing for me when I missed ordering an in-stock kit. =D Makes me just want to keep throwing more money at him on patreon. Another Steve! Horay! It'll be cool seeing him with action figures and cute things. I've never photographed my Steve with my action figures... You'll have a blast. BD

    7. @P-Aei I agree! Donn is wonderful, and I'm so glad to support him.

I have a question regarding the kit. What size elastic, and where to get it? There are more questions, but I'm just going to focus on getting him sanded, blushed, and strung first. Then I'll deal with clothing (only because of budget limitations). I need to stop buying dolls! I have two on pre order that I wasn't planning, one body to arrive any month, and now Steve! I make my most money over the Christmas season, so I can get everything I need after that, lol. So much for saying nothing interests me anymore....

    8. Congrads!! Donn is awesome like that. He did the same for me when I missed out on the Mira kits in May.

    9. @kurogane Donn's kits come with both elastic and S-hooks. But I think Donn uses 2.5mm elastic for his dolls. (I had trouble finding elastic to replace my Vince's when I cut it improperly to use a two loop method to string. I asked Donn if I could know the size or buy some from him, so if you'd like more and you're already getting a kit from him you might try asking.) He sent me some extra when I ordered my Mira kit so I could get Vince properly strung. He poses much better with the four loop method, so definitely look at the stringing tutorial available on the patreon for details on that when you put your kit together. =D You'll want to use a wire like a pipe cleaner or ribbon, Steve has some pretty small channels, but not as small as some of my brothers soom dolls.

    10. @P-Aei Thank you for the great advice! I haven't had to restring a Bjd larger than 11cm in years. MSD seems so huge to me, lol.Tutorials are wonderful! I will definately check it out. I'm also going to re watch the face up tutorial and get some eraser pencils.

    11. Oh man those eraser pencils are awesome! I really need to find myself some!

    12. I have a second hand Steve, who was restrung differently, than what Don's site recommends. He was always too floppy, so I finally got the right elastic and used the 4 loop method, mentioned above. He now stands like a trooper. I only wish I'd done it sooner. lol Now I just need to get the time to do face ups on all the extra face plates I bought for him.

    13. @landrew Ohh nice~ Yeah Steve and Vince pose so much better with the four loop method, who knew it'd change so much. What faceplates do you have for your Steve? <:

    14. I'm dancing around with joy! :dance
My Steve is a go! He should arrive end of next week!
Donn said he will come with elastic, S hooks, eyes, and a wig.
Only issue is, I'm going out of town next Thursday through Monday. Poor me, going to Las Vegas for a business convention...

    16. Has anyone found shoes that fit well, on Steve, etc? I currently have a few pair of MSD sized boots that I got off EBay, but they're huge and clunky on my Steve's feet. I don't even have to unzip the backs, they just slide right on. Which also means, they fall off, just as easily. LOL

    17. Hello again! I'm back from Vegas!
Vegas was great, I guess... I was at a conference, and I had no time to even go outside!

My Steve kit arrived while I was gone, and I couldn't wait to get home. Im looking it over right now and words escape me to describe the high I have! Awesome isn't grand enough! Go Steve, GO!

    19. @aernath and @Quiet and Insane Thank you!

Today I am gathering my supplies and setting up the work space. I love sanding, so this will be fun! I'm using Donn's tip of sanding in a tub of water, so no dust. :thumbup
