@P-Aei Thank you for answering my eye question. BTW your Fince is awesome! You make your own eyes? Wow, they are fantastic! I think I will try and make some of my own and hope they turn out as well as yours.
Here is Kira, looking like a badass in her new outfit from Dollmore : The top comes with a hoodie and removable sleeves. Personally, I like the top without the sleeves but it looks cool with sleeves as well.
Just wanted to post a pic of my Steve in his new kigurumi. Handmade by chrstphrl. Steve's new Kigurumi by Landrew Larsson, on Flickr
@kurogane I make the eyes for my face plates out of clay, so they can't rotate. I have how I made mine here. I wish I could make acrylic ones! @Eiko82 Kira is looking awesome! I might have to get my Mira some cooler clothes like hers... @landrew I love your Steve in his kigurumi! He looks so cozy! Makes me want to try and make one for my Steve... I don't remember sharing this but here's Steve with a face plate I modded ='D He got in a fight with Vince...
@P-Aei what can I say? The eye tutorial is just perfect! And poor Steve! What made him think he could fight Vince? You do such amazing mods, facups, and pictures. It makes me want to do better, lol. Today I'm going to make eyes for sure! The ones I have are ok, but boy, are they neon green. It looks kind of creepy... My Steve is waiting for his clothes. It will be about another couple weeks, I think. PS I also wanted to say I like the Steve soup too!
@kurogane Making eyes is easy and fun! I like how much brighter and animated clay eyes look. Can't wait to see what you make! Hahahaa, Steve and his friends are the only dolls I have the guts to mod. If I screwed up horribly I can buy a replacement faceplate or ask Donn about a replacement part. Plus the monthly scrap sales are always great! Mods are fun when you know if you do a horrible job you can get another faceplate for around $25 instead of a whole head for $200! What type of clothes did you get your Steve I wonder...? (Steve soup!)
@P-Aei I understand about modding an expensive doll. I've actually done it...it turned out well, but probably lost the resale value. Oh well, I wasn't planning on selling anyway, lol. I bought a hoodie, a pair of camouflage pants and some tennis shoes from Alice's Collections. They have to be made and it takes 15-20 days. I hope they fit. I can alter the hoodie and pants, but not the shoes. Oh, the hoodie has a cute chibi Mickey Mouse on it. I thought Steve would appreciate it (I hope!). Let me just say... I HATE waiting for stuff! This hobby definitely isn't instant gratification!
@P-Aei Awww! At least he has his mecha to keep him company? Poor Steve! And thanks for that link again! Making Steve eyes is still on my list of things to do...
I found a pair of tennis shoes that fit Steve perfectly! They are in scale and look great! I got them from Deb's Adorables on eBay. They are 14" Kish size. The only down side is Kish is a girl doll so finding guy styles is limited. I think the shoes will fit my DC k-02 feet too. Shoe victory! Steve and his duds by SD Hampton, on Flickr
Just another tip regarding shoes. I found that the Tonner Matt 17" fashion doll shoes fit great. They come in many styles from dress to work shoes.
Wow this thread really took off, and I just found it. I have had my BH Steve aka Eddie for over two years. We have a Spade on order and through Patreon I am getting Vince by March I believe 2017, or at least paid off. My Eddie is on Flickr, Tumbler and I started a Facebook fan page for Donn's creations. If anyone is on Facebook, pm me here who you are and I will send an invite. We share photos as well as finds in what fits these guys and gal in clothes, shoes and props too. As soon as I am on my desktop computer I can share photos of Eddie.
My Eddie isn't just the guy I do stories on Tumblr with, but also he is my travel buddy. He got to go to Disney World in Spring 2016. With all the face plates he has, he had an expression for every day he was there.
@animemom Awesome! Eddie even is dressed for the trip! I bet you have some amazing photos! I'll have to join the Facebook page, even though I don't do much on Facebook.
Please do, a few here are in our group. We share some great photos and information. Just pm me here your ID on Facebook.
