Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     2. As someone who has experience selling books, I have noticed that when a second book comes out, more people end up buying the first book! Don't ask me why, I think it has to do with the fact that "the first book was so good that they made another" thing. Or maybe it's like watching a 2 year old movie because the sequel is coming out... I dunno.

      So even if this doesn't do as well as you had expected, then you should certainly try for a second book. It really is funny how people's minds work!

    4. I got my copy of the Orbyrarium today as a surprise present! :D

      I haven't had time to read all of the articles yet. The pictures are good, the coverage of different aspects of the hobby is great, but the damage to the book is a huge disappointment.

      When I first lay hands on the package I was sad to see that the envelope was ripped and inside a book that was quite badly damaged. Every book in my collection is in "new" or "like new" condition unless it's vintage or the only affordable copy I could get my hands on. I'm very unhappy that my fresh book is already in "used" condition. There's some sort of water damage to the cover and two small tears, the spine is broken.

      I would never buy a new book off the shelf in this condition and if I'd gotten it from someplace like Amazon I would return it and expect a new copy- with no extra shipping fee. I realize this is not an undertaking by professional publishers or some big company, but that's all the more reason to take extra care in the packing of the merchandise. Small business should equal better service.

      I used to work in books and I collect art monographs. I buy, sell and ship books all the time. This is not a problem with the Post Office, it's entirely due to inadequate packaging.

      Please, please, please, charge more for shipping if it guarantees the book's safety.

    5. I got my copy yesterday too, it just turned up when i randomly checked my mail at night ^^
      My book was slightly bent but the envelope was fine, so i'm thanking my lucky stars. I love the contents, the photography inside is amazing! And all the tutorials, just made my day :)

    7. Question: Has anyone ordered the book after they started getting sent out and have received them already? I ordered mine sometime last week, and I am wondering if I should be looking out for it or not. They charged my credit card almost right away, so I am assuming that it has been ordered.

      If your book arrived damaged or if you're curious about whether it's been shipped, I'd say contact HD, I'm not sure what the details or policy is on that. ^_^

    11. If your book arrives damaged, please return to Haute Doll, 5711 8th Ave., Kenosha, WI 53140. We will replace. We are sending the books out between cardboard now. Hope this solves the problem. Thanks for orders.

    12. I have not received my book yet... Has anyone from Canada receive their book? My order number is 1016 and was supposed to be shipped Airmail... It should have arrived by now... =\ I'll try e-mailling Haute doll because they never sent my shipping confirmation.

    13. I received my book today 7/26. I looked at the postage mark--it was mailed on 7/14. Talk about SNAIL MAIL! It took 12 days to Phoenix?

      The book came in the envelope with no padding. Thankfully there were no rips or damage. Sounds like I was lucky.

      Beautiful book btw.
