It is very tempting to get the open eye Xiao Yu head!!

 

I've ordered the Xiao Yu head in the Copper colour, with faceup by Blisslacosta and am about to order an Elf body from Dollstown. I read that the match is about 80% which I'm fine with, I'll just imagine that she keeps her face out of the sun to protect her complexion!!

 

I also placed an order this round for Xiao Yu in copper, I'm excited! I'm thinking about getting a Xiao Yu Moon if she has one in copper, but not sure yet, depends on if I really want twins or not. Congrats on your purchase

Twins would be great, I love the pair on her Instagram with the beautiful and colourful faceups!

 

It really was those colorful faceups that sold me! Definitely the Dollstown elf body. I've wanted the body for a long, long time but wasn't totally convinced by the head options, but this seems perfect. I have to get a Dollstown 18 yr old girl body for another incoming head so I'll probably order them both at the same time. Do you have plans for your girl yet?

I haven't seen the Elf body in real life but my friend has her Bimong Dandelion on it and she highly recommends it. I have read through the Dollstown Elf body thread and looked at all the photos, it looks like such a lovely body, so I'm looking forward to seeing for her.
As for plans for her, not really, I'm not terribly organised like that I tend to more or less wait until I have the doll in hand before deciding. However, I do think she will have medium or long dark hair and brown eyes (nearly all my BJDs have brown eyes as they're my favourite colour), but apart from that, I honestly haven't a clue, I just have loved the sculpt since first seeing it!

@dambuster01 Thank you! I havn't told her story already. There is not a lot to say for the moment, she is a young girl in a post apocalyptic world. She survives in a slum, living from stealing and drug traffic.
Currently I havn't detailed more her story. Only that she has links with some of my other dolls, like a mercenary (Abigaelle, my ADD Harlan) and a contract killer (Piotr, who used to be an ANS Mr. Rabbit and will be a Cat's doll Tove once I bought him a body).

 

I'm the same way, I never know exactly what I will do until I get the doll in my hands I have a Dollstown 18yr boy body and it is very, very lovely, so I'm excited about getting more from them.

I have only ever seen the 7 yr body in real life and I liked that, my only problem was that the two girls I had were so incredibly pale that I struggled photographing them in the sunshine, so they moved on, but such great doll bodies!

Is anyone else having trouble with the faceplate popping off on the top for Ichigo? I finally have time to try her on the body and really manipulate the head and I find out the faceplate and head don't seem to fit very well and the top pops off leaving a large gap and only the bottom magnet to keep the face on. So I have messaged black cherry doll on etsy. But I just wondered if this was an issue others had as well??
My Xiao Yu moon doesn't have this issue at all totally solidly together.

 

My Freddie (Kaorin) finally got her own body! It's a Supia 60cm double jointed girl body in NS. The resin match is not 100%, but good enough for me.
She also recently had a face up change and I made her a new wig! She is only missing a new pair of eyes and then she is complete. I love her so much! ♥

Thank you! She will get a similar green pair but one of her irises is supposed to have a brown spot, so I will have to order a custom pair once I have funds for it.

My Ichigo arrived today. But I think he/she is on the smaller scale of SD13. So I need to figure what body to try to find it. I want to make a boy. Would anyone have suggestions and a helping tip???
