1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Blossom Doll Discussion

Feb 12, 2012

    1. I'm very curious about the posing as well. I like most of the body but I'm not crazy about the look of the knees when they are bent. I'd love to see more owner photos also because the Blossom Doll website layout is awful and I can't stand to flip through those silly album pages.

    2. I agree about her knees, they are what worry me the most. I want a doll that will stand on her own and pose. I don't mind as much how they look. But I want them to be functional.

    3. They do stand on their own, no problem there:

She can stand in her high heels as well, but I don't have a photo of that. She can pose fine, but I wouldn't expect super complicated poses. To me the body has a bit of an "old-school" feel. It's not as sophisticated as a body with double-joints, mobility joints and whatnot, but in a way I find that refreshing. It's not so much about mechanics but more about aesthetic.

    4. Which head sculpt is your doll in the picture?

    5. This is an Iris. I took this photo when she arrived.

    6. I just found these and one is speaking to me big time! Wish they had more pictures, just not sure about the body, but I might just take a chance on it...
      Holly

I emailed them and you can get a blank head or a blank doll!

    7. You can get them on Alices collection as well. I think a little cheaper than the website, and Alices collection is reputable.

    8. I like the tall style (It is like the Rosette School dolls) and the 'realistic Asian' style face sculpts! Just they are kind of frowny and I like smiling dolls, I'll keep an eye on them though for future things, and hopefully some smiling girls! Really neat stuff.

Also I agree the website is terribly set up and loads slowwww. They need to show better fullbody shots of their dolls as well as nude shots.

    9. I think it's time to give our girls a showroom - I've opened a Database for Blossom Doll, all owners please join and give us some eyecandy! :D

    10. The new version of Olanda they have on their site, "Olanda II", is quite dazzling in all her full-set glory! *___*

    11. I've just ordered a Molly head in tan through jeeryama ^-^, I can't wait to have her at home!
I was also wondering if anybody knows what companies have a similar resin color to their tan, since I'm not an huge fan of their body.

I'm looking for a good match, but it can be not necessary perfect :3

    12. Did anybody end up getting the Hyacinth head? Any owners photos I could snoop at?

    13. So... this is my last hybridization xD, a Blossom Doll Molly head on a DollsTown body both in whiteskin.

The proportions are lovely, while the skin match isn't perfect, but I quite like it ^^.

    14. Just ordered an Olanda head for my mum...
I am curious of her eyes size though' but couldn't find the information anywhere, please does someone knows around here?

    15. That dollstown body doesn't look like the one available on their website! Which one is it?? The 18 yr old body seems to have a joint under the breasts.

    16. Thanks for posting! I was wondering how that body would look with the head, which dolls town body is it?

    17. Skimo, I used 14mm acrylics for my Olanda, but I find solid eyes don't fit terribly well into the eyewells and switched to silicone eyes now.

    18. Thank you so much, Ophiaca!
Got the wig ordered, have a body coming and now the eyes...
Hope Mum with love her when she gets her!
She had a 1:1 scale silicone doll in custody this last weekend and have decided to get a chinese looking SD... and I can't help myself I have to help, I wasn't the only enabler in this case... for once...

    19. I was wondering if anyone's gotten anything in tan from Blossom Doll yet? I'm really curious how it compares to other tans...

    20. I'm as yet in the admiring and studying mode even though I fell head over heels for the first Blossom heads I saw on a major E-b store. The bodies moved me forward in my aspirations to one day own one of their girls. I noticed immediately a similarity to the Enchanted Dolls by Marina. Was hard not to with the poses in the photographs. I'm a big fan of DZ too and still haven't brought home one of their 65cm girls. I think Blossom has pulled together all the best of the best...at least my favorites. I'll step back into the quiet-shadow-following-group. Just wanted to say hello, until I have one to talk about. Meanwhile I am following along all the info available and your experiences as owners.
