1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

BlueBlood Doll Discussion

Apr 5, 2009

    1. :...( Ok, I need help. Has anyone found girly style shoes large enough to fit these guys? I finally have a guy that loves skirts as much as jeans n tees and looks fab in both and we have no shoes for his dresses. Dee is not happy, he wants cute shoes!

    2. Hi, Madera!
I used my Waltz as a model to make boots for a Saiph female body, so if there are shoes out there for her, they should work.
Come to think, never mind - that was why I was making boots for her.

You could make some sandals - there are some great tutorials out there - a piece of thick cardboard (like the backing on legal pads - acid free, too!) for the sole, cover it in fabric, some ribbons for straps, another piece of cardstock for the bottom sole, and you are there.

I made these fisherman sandals from leather, but you kind of get the idea.

next thing you know, you are making full fledged boots!
if you are like me, it is the 'getting started' - once I get going, I can't stop.

    3. Those are completely fabulous! I want a pair of cowboy boots for my guy so bad I can taste it! And those are soooooo close! HOW DID YOU DO THIS?!?!?! <yelling, with amazement>

    4. :o Wow. You can make shoes. I can't even sew a straight line. I'm pretty sure that any shoes I came up with would be met with string popping kicks from my guy to avoid wearing them.

    5. Madera, you are too funny! I bet if you tried, you could come up with something cute!

Bishonen Judge - thank you! I'm pretty stubborn. I guess the boots are pretty complicated, but I started out making really simple shoes, for 16" fashion dolls, so this scale is fun and can have lots of detail due to the larger size.
Here is a pic of some of the pieces involved in making boots (these were for Lishe, so sort of off topic here, but you get the idea:

    6. OK... there is no doubt in my mind now... pamdora is really an elf... like in the story about the elves and the shoemaker.

    7. :whee: Glad I could help!

Post pics once you've got him all prettied up? :)

    8. Well I ordered 4 pair across the style board. Here's crossing the fingers that they work! Yes, pics... which means I need to figure out what the bedoodles is wrong with my not working camera. I swear if one more family member suggests "dead battery" one more time I'm gonna beat em with a stuffed mouse.

    9. I'm here at NYComicCon/AnimeFest this weekend. Taking a sore foot break right now. There are no BJDs... though there is a very prominent Tonner company display. I took my BJD Waltz from Blue Blood with me, and showed him to their company clothing designer who was there... he found him very, very interesting. I wonder if Blue Blood is going to find an email from Tonner in her inbox sometime soon? Wouldn't that be cool? I had a Tonner doll with me that I had done a face-up / altered, so that's mostly why I was there. But then he saw my two BJDs in the bag. One is a Souldoll... the other is my Waltz boy, Tanoshii... He really thought the resin on the Blue Blood was fantastic (as I have always said).

    10. BJ, have fun at NYCC/AF! Everytime I think I can put Waltz on the back burner, he sucks me back in. Sigh. I'm debating now. Waltz or SoulDoll Lester. If both were unlimited, I'd probably do Lester, but I'm afraid of Waltz selling out. I can only do one layaway. Gak! Then there's the standard Valentine. Are my eyes playing tricks or is the face sculpt slimmer than the LE? It's more fetching.

    11. I have a Souldoll Asiter. His eyes are so small and his joints are so jumpy. I'd say go with Waltz.

    12. Well I couldn't wait any longer and even though my CC will cry & whine I had to get Silver/Kenji home sooner. So after loading his box with goodies I am waiting for the final owed balance from Medusa and going to pay him off. She will get him done over weekend and he will be on his way home by Monday. YEAH!! I have a meet up event on the Sat that follows, the 23rd so hoping to have both boys dressed to the nines and take along to show them off. Soon will be working on their story of love found and if I can get some items sold as well as some doll my boys will not make my CC cry to much. Pics soon as Kenji is home.

    13. After adding an outfit I simply HAD to have for him, I have made another layaway payment on Lucas (which is what my Waltz told me is his name). Now, only 4 more to go. :...( But, I keep reminding myself that I'm 1/3 of the way there now! :)

And congrats to animemom on her soon-to-be-home boy.

    14. Bishonen Judge, I sent you a PM.

    15. The clothes are all from BBD site but I must say those eyes are old ones from around the house. Not BBD glass ones at all. I need to get him ones though and Ayame's are from BBD so I know blue is both boys color.

Ayame has BBD eyes, not Silver/Kenji I guess I should have said so. These are I think acrylic.

    17. OMGosh your Silver is so gorgeous! I can't wait to order mine!!!! BTW, I have ordered eyes from the Blueblood site, and they are just amazing as well.

    18. I'll be ordering a Waltz right after Halloween! So excited! He'll be my 2nd doll and my 1st doll of my dream doll set. He'll eventually be modded into a dragon boy.
