1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

BlueBlood Doll Discussion

Apr 5, 2009

    1. Aernath: I love that shirt on your boy.

I need to get Ryzel (he's a Valentine, too) outside for some shots. Poor boy has been stuck inside forever since I chronically lack time to do anything these days.

    2. I know I showed pics to Medusa and she thought she looked great in the clothes. But she won't post on her site as trying to sell the clothes for the boys. Which I understand, but when I have so many of their clothes and only 3 of them, it seems like such a waste not to have them share. ;) Plus even though Kenji & Ayame are gay, they won't wear the purple pants or red ones so why not let the girls have them. :D

The clothes are so well made and fact I found they can be worn by more of my gang makes it a very big plus!

    3. The boys got a couple of pets a while back, and with new camera been taking pics of anything I can.

Here they are with Harley the Bisou Frise
This is them with Karma the pit bull pup.

I love pit bulls, and would love to find a better sized version for the boys.

    4. Doggies! (My husband just walked by and approves. )
Love the red red hair on your boy!

Yes, it was nice to find that most of my boys' clothes were compatible with BB. The pants are the only thing that bugs me. Even with a belt to cinch waists in, you can tell they're just too big, from all the puckers. Even BB pants seem a bit loose to me. Except the pleathers. Those are a snug fit, and give me trouble trying to sit my boy down. (I sound like I'm complaining, but I'm just explaining why I'm looking elsewhere as well.)
Anyone know of another maker of pants that fit these boys? I have another tiny-waisted boy coming in, and he'll be fighting my BB boy for his pants...

Iron_Dog - I totally forgot to tell you Thank You! And yes, more pictures of Ryzel! We need to put a little more life into this thread. :)

    5. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Waltz doll is being held hostage by Canada Customs.........:...(

According to tracking he has been in customs since the first of the month........and hasn't left.

      Bloody bureaucrats.......

Has anyone else had this problem??

    6. remus.grrrl: I recently had a doll come back from customization in the US and he passed through Customs in BC. I use passed in the loosest sense possible. They held him hostage for 5 business days AND they smacked me with a $43 Customs charge on top of that.

I have noticed that if a doll comes through BC, it gets held up a minimum of 3 days and there's always a Customs fee tagged on. If a doll comes through Montreal... I've had dolls enter Customs at 8:30am and leave Customs at 9:00am Of The Same Day! Most often they avoid fees as well.

    7. Awwww, remus! Sorry! I hope they send him home soon!

    8. Yeah, I am not looking forward to the customs charge.....personally, I don't see why I should have to pay HST taxes on an item that I cannot buy in my own country....if they were losing revenue on something that can be bought in Canada....it wouldn't bother me so much....but for this.....ARRRGGHH......ANARCHY!!!!

      LOL

      Thank you......I hope so too.

    9. OMG.......he has finally cleared customs....only took them 8 days......now I am going to go crazy waiting for him to show up.......I am so excited......I hate waiting.

    10. Hang in there! This is the toughest part! Soon it will be over, and all worth it! :)

    11. xD He's nearly home remus.grrrl, at least he's cleared customs and you're just waiting on him to get home.

Evan's been sitting on my bookshelf for a few days with his daughter Kassy, and I finally decided to get up and take a photo of them.
For a vain character, he really didn't want to show off his pretty eyes. But I did manage to get one good one.

Kassy has a love hate relationship with my camera's flash. She always seems to glow with it -_-

Kassy is a SOOM Beyla, and Evan is the ever gorgeous Waltz.

    12. Sigh....I hate waiting. I am also nervous too. Been waiting on him so long, I hope that I am not gearing myself up and then be disappointed when he shows. You know how you can get soooo excited over something and then when you get it you are like...."why was I so excited?"

He was a spur of the moment doll........oh well, we will see. I had never intended to own such a large doll.

I kinda like being able to pocket one of my dolls and carry them around (don't tell anyone.....LOL)

Well, here's to more waiting...they say estimated del date of friday...sigh....4 more days...and counting.

    13. Oh noooo! Hang in there! Four more days is better than four more weeks!

Azura - those are lovely eyes in your Evan! He should show those off more often! ;)

    14. Well even though I have had my first Blueblood for about a month now I just have to rave about him. I got Valentine. And he is not only made so very well but he is totally gorgeous.
It is a shame that Draven is out of stock or I might be tempted to try and save up and get him too.

    15. I own two BlueBlood dolls; Varian Valentine and Diamond Draven LE. I love them for their quality of doll and the fact that it does not take two months to get one. I am all for instant gratification and being able to have my doll 3 days later is a big plus for me. Their customer service is out of this world and they answered all my silly questions when I knew nothing about BJDs.

Their clothes fit their dolls and others very well and the stiching is reinforced by Medusa herself before she ships them out to customers. I have never had an issue with anything I bought from them but I know people who have and they always come through with stellar resolutions to keep their customers coming back.

I would recommend them to anyone as a first time BJD buyr. A complete set for $400.00. My only wish for BBD is that they made dolls in darker skintones. I would be all over their other dolls if that were the case.

Hey fellow BBD parent. Yes Draven is gone but I love mine so much. I have him in a red wig, red jeans, black dress shoes, and a choclate brown lfaux eather jacket. He is wearing some sunglasses also just complete the enamble!

    16. Instant gratification! Gotta love it. :)
Pictures! Your Draven sounds great! Share a photo?

    17. HE'S FINALLY HERE (after being held hostage by customs.....)

      Here is my lovely Sebastien-

    18. Okay...now that everyone has met Sebastien...I have a few questions for you other owners.

Have you sealed the body of your doll? I didn't get the blushing, so I don't think he is sealed. I have already had to take off the outfit and clean some black marks off him from the clothes (which were promptly put in vinegar water and then washed and dried).

Also, where his joints meet there are some whitish rubs.......just wondering if this is normal? I have never had a doll made with this type of resin, or this big, so am unsure what to expect.

    19. *waves back to Sebastien*
Yup, the white stuff is normal on these guys. Just pull the joint out a bit and wipe it off. I wondered if it was intentional too, but it bugs me, so I wiped it off. No worries.
I didn't get blushing either, and whether his body is sealed, doesn't bother me. I think I have only one doll that has his body blushed and sealed (Soom Euclase). The rest are fine as is. :)

    20. Cool....thanks aernath. Makes me feel better. I am trying the clothes on him again...praying no more dye comes out. Totally not putting on the jewellery...mostly because the vinyl is flaking off....very odd.
