Medusa, thank you for the information on your resin. I also wondered if it was French resin, because my boy just seems to glow. I love him dearly, thank you for such a wonderful doll.

And, I've got to ask, is anyone else tempted to have their boy hang out shirtless all the time? That chest sculpt is just so gorgeous, I can't help it. Sadly, Casper insists on shirts.

mileebert, waltz hung out nearly nekkid for weeks, even tho I had lots of clothes for him. He is my first male doll, and a welcome addition to my few resinites - I love his attitude and yes, that body is something else - his joints are so inobtrusive and beautifully done - I am amazed at the engineering and the resin is ethereal! I want to blush him and give him a manicure and a pedicure, and spoil him in general. The resinistas love him at my house. I want a female from Medusa - I am amazed at the detail and quality of her efforts. And a tan. And Valentine. A tan Valentine would be a dream come true. I am just thrilled with the information about his resin. I think these dolls are sleepers - I am not usually into the latest greatest doll, and they come here to stay for a loooooong time.
Sorry to rattle on - I need to change his clothes and take more pics with the girls to post. I have spent a small fortune on wigs and mohair for him and keep coming back to the long gray wig from Blueblood.

 

Hey just joining in. Details are still in works but have plans to add 2 of Medusa's boys. Had 2 before but CC said I had to sell. But now being smarter and doing layaway for the first one and then soon as I have the funds will get number 2. I have had their characters in my head for a long time, but never was able to get them to work with other dolls. Then saw Valentine the new guy and clearly saw he was the one and Silver was other but he never got the right partner. Now he will. It will take time like I said but would love to hang out here and see the others as they arrive as well as share the good news of when my 2 come home.

Love and in this case badly needed. With luck and some good strong sales can maybe have both boys home by Christmas.

 

I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I am hoping to start my layaway soon, I just have to make one more payment for someone else (my rule is no more than two at a time on layaway, I'm on a budget here people!)

 

I'm really hoping I can persuade my husband to let me put Valentine on layaway, phrase it in terms of it being a Christmas/birthday present. I haven't brought it up just yet, as he just let me order my first doll on Thursday and well, I have a feeling he wouldn't go or it...yet. They're all so very pretty....

 

My FIRST BJD has arrived! I'm so happy that I just had to share. He is a previously loved Blue Blood Waltz. And his previous owner is a member here at Den of Angels. I am seriously considering naming him Tanoshii (delightful in Japanese) because I am so delighted to have him. He is not perfect, but I am not perfect. He will be my learning doll. Learning how to put on clothing, how to keep wigs on, what sizes to look for and purchase, and he is going to be not handled perfectly. I will try very hard not to drop him, but, heck I dropped my own baby son when he was about a month old. (Don't worry, he turned out fine, and he's 11 now.)

 

I have put Valentine on layaway, and having now got Tanoshii to practice with I am so glad I did! He's to be my Samhaim present to myself.

 

Thanks I need all the luck I can get. Had 2 of these boys and loved how well they were made, the posing abilities and of course the clothes! But I over did it and so they had to find new homes. But I still see the one as he is locally owned and the other I am sure is fine. These two aren't going anywhere once home.

My DH is fine with buying me BJD for combo holiday gifts as well as the big ones, B-Day and Christmas. He hates to shop and he knows these dolls make me very happy. Plus he finds unlike horses they don't eat, make messes or need a doctor.

Sounds like a good name. Still working out my 2 boys names. As for dropping your son did the daughter as well when she was little, she is 32 and fine but hasn't moved out so I wouldn't say it didn't effect her. Plus dolls are not going to keep it over us for doing it.

Congrats on layaway on Valentine. Medusa is the best to deal with and so sweet. She is always so happy when one of her boys gets a home.

Congrats did you get the NS Draven? I thought about adding him esp. when I asked Medusa last year to think of making him in NS. So glad she did but I just so fell for Valentine plus Silver is one of my favs.

 

He's in the new peach skin which is their new NS I think. I know what you mean about Valentine. I was going to get him but Draven's expression kept calling me back.

 

I wish she would do Draven as a vampire again, but I do love Silver, his lips are perfect.

 

Well Medusa wants to have the LE so people will know they can trust that the dolls won't be copied again, also allows her to create new ones like Valentine.

That was a great article and Medusa is right it does help to have a choice to get an outfit so no waiting to figure out what fits these guys. The clothes are so well made and prices so fair.
