I ordered two Fresh-Coconut bodies in Mia pink from Alice's Collections earlier. Looking forward to getting them.... Probably next year I suppose.
I'm so interested in getting the Bonbon galaxy 2.0 body but want to find some good resin comparisons first... the links previously listed in this thread don't work for me (either go to generic videos on Taobao or the link is broken)
The photo is warmer than in real life but perhaps this is helpful: The fist hands are myou normal pink (2023), open hand Souldoll NS (2024), neck protector Huajing normal (2024), the feet are BonbonGalaxy NS (2024) I'd say it's also close-ish to Mia pink but I think Bonbon also does Mia Pink and Mia White that give you lots of options to mix and match with.
I wonder how similar BBG is to Fairlyand normal. I've heard that Myou NP and Huajing normal are pretty close to FL normal too.
I'll try to remember to post them tomorrow, but their Candy White is very close to Fairyland BW. I currently have my FL Woosoo Vampire head on a Bonbon Lychee 2.0 body and it's by far my favorite hybrid.
Myou normal pink is super light, lighter than Huajing normal. They are maybe close to Mia Pink buy I think Fairyland is darker and more yellow

I'm considering getting the SOOM rose white Bonbon Galaxy Lychee 2.0 body from Jane's Dolland bc it's such a great price ($70 cheaper than Alice's Collections, which offers the 1.0 body in Normal and White) and making a head for it myself because I can't seem to find any threads newer than 2012 (that all have broken pictures) discussing SOOM rose white. Also I haven't found any heads I'm particular to other than discontinued SOOM 65 cm heads which would absolutely not fit this body. There seems to be a lack or I guess I am not finding many 40cm dolls with more realistic/mature facial proportions.
You can't really tell from the photos sorry, they're not the best, but the body is just a tiny bit more pink than the head. I have my woosoo on the body now and with her faceup, because it's more pinkish, you literally can't tell at all. I made the neck connector with my resin 3D printer and it's honestly my most favorite hybrid. I'd hybrid on my minifee's on a bonbon if they made more colors lol. I peeked at your doll profiles and Striga looks great!! The resin match IS very good. I'm also interested in the bonbon galaxy body bc I dislike how the hip joints on Minifee slide out of place. So I'm definitely on the Minifee hybrid train with you!!
I know right!! And the proportions are so much better than mnf in my opinion. I feel like the head looks much more balanced with a bigger body. It's also much easier to find clothes for this body too as opposed to mnfs. It's still a tad bit small but can still fit msd sized clothes.
That's EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I like the more adult proportions as opposed to other 1/4 bodies which look more like kids, and I've wanted something a bit bigger to balance the large size of minifee heads. I also quickly figured out how many 1/4th clothes are far too large for minifee bodies which made me so sad! Also, the price is so much better.
That's why I ended up getting this body, too. I absolutely looove fairyland sculpts but I can't stand how small minifee bodies are. And honestly I also think Coralreef Doll bodies would be a good options, too. I don't have one in white, but the hands my Woosoo (Striga) is wearing right now on the BBG body are Coralreef in Luts White and they are also super similar in color. I would say even closer in color to Fairyland BW. But BBG is definitely a good option if you're on a budget. I bought this body directly off of taobao before the tariffs and it was only $50 for its initial release.
Those darn tariffs. That's an incredible price. How does everyone navigate taobao?? I have not learned how to read even simplified Chinese and my browser has trouble translating buttons and pop up windows.(if the answer is Get Good I understand and will humbly accept the challenge) My ultimate goal is to use a BBG body to make an android character. I either want to make a head for the body or find a realistic male head sculpt for it and do my own face-up. I really like RingDoll and Soom head sculpts, I think they have lovely realistic proportions for the guys that could easily be painted to suit a girl character. But, again, finding a realistic sculpt in 1/4 size is a challenge. Coral reef dolls are so pretty! I hadn't seen them before. Their costumes and photography are amazing.
You can use a proxy service, like Superbuy. I don't even open Taobao and gotten by fine just using the proxy's search function, although there's some trial and error in finding the right keywords.
Ye you can use a proxy but before the tariffs I just used the app. I just screenshot the page and put it in the google translate app. You can only pay for shipping through the app, so thats why I used it. I don’t read any chinese, and I can only read very basic Kanji, and the app is still fairly easy to use. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but you get the hang of it after a while. But all that said, they’re not shipping to the US right now, so it’s kinda pointless to use atm.
