1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Brava Bambi (Bambicrony) Discussion Part 1

Apr 11, 2009

    1. Sharon, that happened to me once with a Soulkid, only she had two left legs... Souldoll sent a new leg to me asap; let's hope that BC are going to be equally good about it! :)

    2. Lets hope so, Keladry.....its almost funny really, the poor girl, trying to dance but just walking sideways with two right legs!!!!
I've written to Yoon and hope that she'll sort it out for me, she always seems very helpful.

    3. Don't worry, BC will definitely send you a left thigh part! They've got pretty good customer service. And I'm so sorry about your Emily that got stolen! What are people thinking when they steal our dolls? It's such a niche product, I doubt people outside the hobby would even have the proper descriptors to successfully sell them on the secondary market.

    4. Thanks Qui, Marie, and you are right! Yoon has already been in touch and is going to send me the correct part, I just had to send her photos, which I have done this morning.
As for the stolen doll, I think it was an opportunist who just saw the unattended postmans motorbike and the package probably looked interesting, so they took it. I should think that once he/she saw an eyeless, bald, naked doll in there, it may have been discarded somewhere...poor Emily :(

    5. Sharon, I know this doesn't make you feel any better, but my first thought when I read the last sentence of your above post, was that on the bright side, you might have just coverted someone to collecting BJDs. Yikes! Lol.

I'm glad Yoon is going to resolve it so quickly. I have really been impressed with her.

I asked her about the boots for the fullset Ellen and she said they should arrive at Bambicrony the beginning of next week so my tan Ellen, my Mae, and the Katherine head should be shipped out no later than the end of the month. So, it works out that they will be here a little before Christmas. I'm thinking of getting them out just to make sure everything is okay and then wrapping them up for me to open on Christmas. Sort of takes the surprise out of it, but after readng about your Emily, I want to make sure they are okay.

    6. Its funny you should say that Gracie because my friend (who sold me the first Emily) and I were chatting when the doll was stolen and we both hoped the same, that the person who stole the box might have thrown it down in disgust and a man walking home from work found it and took it home for his daughter!!! We laughed saying that in years to come when she then said "I'd like another one now please", he'd get the shock of his life on the prices! LOL!

I'm glad to hear your good news on the boots, and a great idea to check her over then rewrap her....it will be nice to have her under the tree to open on Christmas Day. I also have been told that my Mae is shipping next week, supposed to leave BC on the 15th so that is great news....I might do the same as you, get the person who did the group order to check her first though, then I could feel comfortable about not opening her before Christmas!!!!

    7. Oh wow, after I read about your issue with the thighs dambuster01 I went and checked my own. But mine are correct, so sadly you might find you're going to still have some similar issues with your girl when you get the replacement piece. :(

And seeing I haven't posted pics of her in awhile, here's one of Cordelia:

    8. Sigh, not to bust anyone's bubbles, but BC has told me the boots would be coming "no later than such and such day" twice now, and still nothing. But let's hope they're right this time :)

    9. I'm sure you're right Kawaii!!! I'm glad to hear that Cordelia's thighs are fine! She's a beautiful girl and I love her pretty dress, it suits her very well.
I'm hoping it won't be too long now till the thigh part arrives. Yoon wrote that it would be sent off 'in the morning'...that was early last week....I'm hoping they've sent it already!

    10. They did a similar thing to me when I was waiting for my girl, said they'd send her out "this week" a few times over the course of a couple of months. I tend to take their estimates with a grain of salt. Hopefully they show up soon for you!

    11. Well, I just got through paying off all my layaways this past Sunday night and Yoon had told me my crew wouldn't sent off until the end of the month, so I figured I had a while to go anyway, wait for boots or not. My status hasn't changed and my final payments haven't been posted either. I just want them by Christmas. If the boots are no longer available, the full-set shouldn't be available anymore either.

bronzephoenix, I would think they would give you the option of having your doll sent out ahead of time and then just sending the boots when they come in. My concern, though, would be that the boots never get sent out. Still, if I were faced with the decision, I would take a discount on the doll, forget the boots, and let me have the doll sooner. You have been waiting a long time and it isn't right. (Although I say that and I waited very patiently for almost 8 months with CH. To me, though that was different because I didn't have anywhere as much money tied up with them that I do with Bambicrony. )

I wonder if Yoon is just really busy with the last sale. Twice I've had to correct a PayPal invoice from Bambicrony that tried to charge me a little over $75 more than what I owed.

    12. Hooray! I finally found an Isabelle!!!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. She's winging her way here even as I type. Just had to share my excitement and joy.

      Jay

    13. Yay! More Isabelles! Post her the instant you have her face-uped! I have to say my inspiration for painting my Isabelle was looking at your beautiful girls. (blush) I'm a big fan of your dolls.

    14. Wow, that's so nice. Thank you!!! (Blushing with joy.) I hope she gets here before the Thanksgiving holiday because I have a couple of days off work and a long weekend. Hopefully, I can play with her then!!! I want to do some body blushing too. And then comes the fun of playing "wigs and eyes." I just love playing "wigs and eyes." And I already have some MSD size clothes and shoes so she can wear something right away. I hope she looks good with her sister Nessie (J-Na).

      Jay

    15. Anyone heard anything new about the BC tan ellen fullset situation?

    16. Nope. I left a question for Yoon on the Q&A board asking why she couldn't just take the white boots that are showing as available, change the lacing to blue ribbons and ship out the full-set Ellens. This was last night before I read your post about the white boots not really being available and Bambicrony really just taking orders for them. So far I haven't gotten any response, but I noticed that other questions left after mine have been answered. I will check back later to see if Yoon has had a chance to reply to mine.

Looking at the Q&A board, there are a few who would like to know when their order will ship. If I had known I would have gotten my Ellen a lot sooner if I hadn't ordered the full-set, I would have just saved the extra money since I wasn't thrilled with the outfit to begin with. I still can't believe you have been waiting four months!

I would love to ask to just forget the boots, but at the same time, I don't want anything rushed with my dolls and there be a problem when they arrive. I feel bad for Yoon being put into a bad situation because of a boot manufacturer, but as you stated on the other thread, they should have held back 50 pairs to go with the full-sets and then sold any extras. Not make those who ordered the full-sets wait as long as you have.

    17. Do they start making the dolls after they receive the full payment? I ordered my basic tan Ellen a month ago and paid for most of her (I just have a $120 payment that I'm making this week) so I was just curious.
This is just just awful hearing about your 4 month wait all because of SHOES? Can they just send you your dolls and ship the shoes whenever they restock? Or just offer to refund the cost of shoes if anyone doesn't want them? :(

    18. I don't think so. I ordered my full-set Ellen, Mae, and Katherine at the beginning of September and they were on layaway. I just finished up the layaway on the 11th of November and Yoon had told me they would all ship by the end of the month. Since there were so many orders during the sale, I don't think she waited until the 11th to start making them all. The only hold up on my order is the stinkin' boots, too.

    19. I don't think so either. I paid my Emily fullset off by layaway over two and a half months, and it took four months in total to arrive. I just think that's their average waiting time for their fullset dolls, boots or not.

    20. :( Oh ok. Well I hope you guys get your dolls soon. I'm going to give in my last payment soon, and I just hope she doesn't arrive when I'm on vacation around Christmas. :(
